Chapter Thirty
Pete I couldn’t believe that Carter posted that shit about Tessa. It made me so fucking mad, to see that he had made her out to be some kind of whore. That he made out that we were idiots. He knew nothing about us, and I hated the way that he talked about her.
I had to stop Archie from going down to his dorm and beating the shit out of him.
“No one talks about my woman that way!” he roared like a fucking lion as he scrolled through all the posts that Carter had posted on every piece of social media that he could, and most of it was pathetic. Cheap shots from someone who had nothing going on in their life, and you could feel the jealously in every single one of them.
Pathetic!
I reminded him that Tessa would be pissed about Archie punching the lights out of Carter, not because she was crazy about the guy, but she’d always made it clear that she believed that violence solved nothing, and she hated all acts of it.
We loved and respected Tessa, and as much as it would be great for Archie to ram his fist down Carter’s throat. I knew that Tessa wasn’t the girl that we first were involved with, she’d changed in so many ways, and she would hate the idea of us fighting her battles for her. She would want to do it alone, and we would support her, with her decision that was for sure. If she did want Archie to give Carter a bruising, he would do it, without hesitation.
“Hey, beautiful,” I said as I kissed her. I expected her to be upset, but then again; maybe she hadn’t seen the posts this morning.
“I am, now that you’re here.”
I closed the door behind me, and both Kim and Cheryl waved me goodbye and blew kisses, as they left.
“You know?” I asked because she had a spring in her step as if something had made her extra happy this morning, and I wondered if in some bizarre, surreal moment if that post had made her feel proud instead of being ashamed.
“Carter. The posts? Yep, I saw them.”
I wrapped my arms around her. “I’m so fucking proud of you. I thought that if you saw the posts, then you would feel like you did after Thanksgiving. Confused and maybe want to break it all off.”
She winked. “I feel the opposite; I don’t want to feel anything but proud to be with you and your brothers and the other guys. Nothing less is acceptable.”
“You look so hot right now. Sexy. Shit, I'm so fucking lucky. Too lucky with it being Tuesday and all.”
“I can see that you’re excited, maybe a little too excited.” She reached her hand down and put it gently on my growing shaft. I planned to take her to class, but now I felt like having our private class.
“I haven’t skipped a day of class this week,” she purred.
“Have you ever had seven men in your life at once?”
She chuckled. “Before college, I’d never had one boyfriend, and now I have seven.”
“Seven who care about you dearly. Maybe we need to change the paper from being about you to about us.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, maybe you should interview all seven of us, so everyone knows why we love you so much.”
“Love?” she asked, and then I stopped to stroke her face.
“Yes, love.” I smiled as her brown eyes lit up, and I heard the words that came out of her mouth, and everything about us seemed right.
“I love you too, Pete Bannister. You’re right, I do love all of you, for different reasons.”
“Oops, it looks like your bag just dropped to the floor.” I smiled as it dropped, and I planned for her to be skipping class.
“Whoops, it looks as if your belt’s coming off.”
We played this game as we headed to her bedroom and until we were both butt naked in the middle of her bedroom. We weren’t going to class, neither of us had any intention of doing that, we were going to make sweet passionate love.
Today was my day, and I intended to enjoy every single second of it because, after all, I was Mr. Tuesday. If it wasn't today, then I would have to wait a whole fucking week, something that I wasn’t willing to do.
