Chapter 95 A Horrific Sight

Chapter 95 A Horrific Sight
Dante's POV

I didn't know what to expect, but having a strong feeling on who the sender was, I already had a hunch.

The beginning of the video was dark, but I could hear cries coming from somewhere I couldn't quite spot.

But the more the person cried out, the more the voice made sense to me.

Till the screen lit up to show the elder, tied to a chair and stripped naked.

He was sitting in what looked like his office, the same office we had left not too long ago.

My first reaction was how?

When?

And why was it so easy to get to him?

I stared at the video in horror as someone stood outside the coverage and whipped a lash across the elder's chest.

He cried out again but whoever did it, repeated it twice, lashing his chest wickedly.

The elder wailed out in pain as he looked to be struggling to breathe.

His chest had since gone red and now was spotted with red sores all over it.

His head dropped low as he struggled to breathe, he looked to be gasping more than anything else.

“Has the great and mighty elder lost his will?” A voice I knew very well asked.

Luca. That dirty snake.

I always knew he was of no good and he keeps proving me right every damn second.

I was about to drop the phone and run to rescue him when Luca added mischievously.

“Nobody can save you, by the time this video gets out of here, you'd be dead,” Luca spat out.

I felt the color drain from my eyes. Dead? No, no.

“Luca,” the elder muttered out weakly. “What has gotten into you?” He managed to ask.

“What has gotten into me? Oh that's pretty heroic of you, pretending to not know anything while faced with death,” Luca responded bitterly.

“You vile creature, what the hell do you want?” The elder managed to ask again.

“He still has nerves,” Luca replied, flashing a hand signal to someone I couldn't see and a while went across the bare chest of the elder again.

“Arghh!” He wailed out, raising his head before letting it drop immediately.

I feared the worst.

“Oh you don't get to die yet,” Luca replied and looked back, then a bucket of water got thrown over the elder's head.

He screamed and shot his head up, wailing in pain.

From the reaction it had on his body, I could tell it was hot.

Bile rose from the back of my throat as I immediately felt uncomfortable watching it.

“Luca. Luca. Luca, why are you doing this to me?” The elder breathed out as he looked to just be hanging on.

“Did you, or did you not host Dante in this office today with the traitor, Serena?” He asked and I knew it was all about that.

The elder didn't respond, he just sighed.

“Answer me you old fool!” Luca yelled.

“He came seeking a petition, I couldn't turn my back on Mr. Russo,” he choked out.

“Oh really, how sweet. Even at the expense of your own family?” Luca asked.

“Mr. Russo had no bad intentions and he showed me maximum respect all the while,” the elder choked out again.

“And that was why you were willing to free Serena so cheaply? After putting a bullet in Marco's head and embarrassing the whole Moretti family?!” He yelled while flicking the elder's head to the side.

“I stood for peace, especially when I realized you didn't inform me of Marco's death, meaning you had other plans,” the elder replied.

“Yes, I didn't tell you,” Luca announced proudly. “I mean, why would I? From every indication now, you are nothing but a weak link in this family,” Luca spat out.

The elder let out a dry laugh before coughing.

“We both know the real reason you are doing this, we both know why you didn't tell me of Marco's death. You want to rule, you've always wanted power at all cost and it hurts you to take commands from your younger brother,” the elder choked out.

Luca whipped a slap across the cheek of the elder, sending it sounding through the room.

“Ouch,” the elder remarked and it seemed to irritate Luca the most.

He walked over and took the whip from the other person, whipping the elder on every spot it reached.

“Argh!” The elder yelled and wailed in pain, but Luca continued before tossing the whip away and screaming wildly.

Then pulled the elder up by his hair and gestured to the camera to come close, zooming in on the bloodied face of the elder.

“You dirty son of a bitch,” the elder croaked out and Luca pushed his head closer to his ear, pretending to be interested in hearing what he had to say.

“I don't blame you, I blame your mother for raising a vile creature like you,” the elder spat out.

“Who are you going to blame next? The doctor for delivering me?” Luca asked sarcastically.

He then let go of the elder's head, letting it drop low weakly.

“Your end has come, old man. I charge you for treason, for working behind the back of your family to aid an enemy,” Luca continued.

“Get it over with already,” the elder choked out.

I should have stopped watching at this point, but a part of me wanted to see how he'll go out.

So I left it on.

“That's the interesting part, I'm not aware of how I'll end you yet. I could easily shoot you in the head, but that would be a luxurious death for a traitor like you,” Luca continued.

Then my mind went to a particular action, something cruel.

“I could chop off your head, or extract your intestines, or even decapitate you,” Luca added with a crazy laugh. “But all those are against the rules, you see. There's only one punishment fitting for a traitor caught alive,” Luca expressed with a wicked smile.

“Get the gas boys!” He yelled and I found myself lowering down on my bed as fear gripped.

A jerrican containing what I believe to be fuel was handed over to Luca, then he first leaned down and pulled the ring out of the elder's finger.

He seized it with one hand before quickly pocketing it and opening the jerrican.

“Any last words, old man?”
