Chapter 303 Mom, Your Face is So Red
This jerk! They were already divorced, and he still came to mess with her!
In the two months since they hadn't seen each other, Grace had almost forgotten everything that had happened before. But now, he was getting more and more outrageous! He just kissed her out of nowhere!
This was too much!
Grace cursed him under her breath and then turned and ran away. Her graceful figure quickly disappeared into the darkness.
Charles stayed where he was, raising his eyebrows as he watched Grace run off.
He had to admit, the kiss just now was indeed a bit impulsive.
But he never regretted anything he did, and this time was no exception!
In the two months since their divorce, he had been thinking about her every day, going crazy with longing, wanting to hold her in his arms and kiss her passionately every minute.
He had already reached his limit!
This kiss was partly intentional and partly uncontrollable.
He wanted to remind Grace that she was not allowed to have overly intimate interactions with other men, even if the other man was Milo. He wouldn't allow it!
If she didn't listen, he might do something even more outrageous!
The cold wind blew, bringing Charles back to his senses. He quickly walked towards the front door.
Meanwhile, on the balcony of the second floor of the villa, a woman draped in a luxurious fur shawl was leaning on the railing.
She had seen the entire entanglement between Charles and Grace just now. Seeing Charles hurriedly leave, she snorted softly.
The sound of footsteps interrupted her thoughts.
Kismet walked out of the room, looking at the woman's graceful figure, and gently advised, "Flora, it's cold outside. You should come in."
Flora raised her swan-like neck, her voice low and tinged with coldness, "It's okay. I want to stay here for a while."
Kismet sighed softly. Flora had grown up by her side, and she could easily tell that Flora was in a bad mood.
After thinking for a moment, she gently persuaded, "Flora, you need to look at things differently. If anyone's to blame, it's Charles for having poor taste. It has nothing to do with you! Men like him, who are high and mighty, might prefer women from small families. Those women might look good, but they can't hold a candle to you. Don't be upset. I'll introduce you to someone even better than Charles!"
Flora chuckled softly, her brows furrowing slightly as Charles's handsome face occasionally appeared in her mind.
In all of Silverlight City, who could be better and more prestigious than Charles?
She took a deep breath, ultimately saying nothing, and turned to go back inside.
Kismet quickly followed her, looking at Flora with a heart full of affection.
Grace hurried home as fast as she could. The living room was empty, indicating that Mia had taken the two kids upstairs after dinner.
Grace took off her coat and went straight to the kids' room on the second floor.
The door was slightly ajar. Bianca was lying on Mia's lap, her big round eyes fixed on the TV.
Mia was leaning against the sofa, her eyes half-closed, clearly dozing off.
Jasper was sitting by her right foot, playing with a Rubik's cube, his clean profile full of concentration.
Grace was still feeling agitated when she entered the villa.
But seeing this warm scene, her inner turmoil instantly vanished.
She smiled and knocked on the door.
Bianca and Jasper turned their heads simultaneously at the sound, seeing Grace's smiling face.
Their big eyes lit up at the same time, and Bianca shot out of Mia's lap like a rocket, hugging Grace's leg tightly, "Mommy!"
Grace bent down to pick her up and then walked to the sofa to sit down.
She patted Jasper's little head and turned to Mia with a smile, "Mia, you should go to bed. I'll stay with them."
Mia stretched, "Alright, I'll go rest. You should go to bed early too."
Grace nodded, helping Mia stand up, "Okay, I know."
After Mia left, Grace sat on the bed with Bianca in her arms and beckoned Jasper to come over.
The two kids leaned against her, looking up at her, "Mommy, did you drink? Why is your face so red?"
Suddenly being asked by the kids, Grace thought of the scene at the Adams Villa where Charles had kissed her forcefully, and her face turned even redder and hotter.
She smiled awkwardly and looked away, "It's windy outside. Maybe it's from the wind."
Bianca reached out her chubby hand to touch her red face and then her forehead, "Are you sure you don't have a fever?"
Her little hand was warm and soft, touching her forehead for a moment before pulling back.
Bianca's serious expression was quite cute, but she clearly didn't find anything.
Grace kissed her face and patted her little head, "I'm really fine, don't worry."
Bianca nodded, looking very obedient.
Jasper, who had been quiet, suddenly spoke, "Mommy, it's not even nine o'clock yet. Why are you back?"
Grace patted his little head too and smiled, "The event ended early, so I came back."
Jasper looked up at her with his big round eyes.
Even though he was only a few years old, he always seemed like a little adult, staring at Grace and making her feel a bit guilty.
Grace found an excuse to look elsewhere.
Jasper withdrew his gaze, pursing his little lips, saying nothing.
Grace secretly breathed a sigh of relief, played with them for a while, then took them to wash up and put them to bed.
At the same time, at the Montague Villa, Charles returned and went to Olivia's room.
He sat alone in Olivia's room, his tall figure gradually swallowed by the quiet night.
Suddenly, his phone rang in his pocket, interrupting his thoughts.
He took out the phone and put it to his ear, speaking in a low voice, "How's it going?"
The call was from John, and his voice quickly came through, "Mr. Charles Montague, I've found out. Mr. Milo Montague is indeed working at the art academy, teaching elective piano courses. He and Ms. Windsor are colleagues now, but he started working there a month before her."
Charles frowned and asked coldly, "Why does he work there?"
John paused and then answered truthfully, "Mr. Charles Montague, I looked into that. The art academy started offering piano elective courses last year. The previous teachers weren't very famous, and the art academy recognized Mr. Milo Montague's musical talent and invited him to teach."
Charles nodded in understanding and continued to ask, "Besides working at the art academy, does he have any other jobs in Silverlight City?"
"Probably not. I only found his job at the art academy."
Charles took a deep breath, his gaze growing colder, "What about her? What's her situation now?"
John hesitated for a moment, quickly realizing who he was referring to, "According to the people monitoring her, she's still abroad, living a similar daily routine, occasionally going out shopping."
The coldness in Charles's eyes softened a bit, and he gave a stern order, "Tell the people watching her to be diligent. If there's anything unusual, report to me immediately!"
He paused and continued, "Also, the art academy is on break now. From next semester, if you notice any close interactions between him and Grace, inform me right away."
John nodded, "Yes, Mr. Montague, I understand."
Then, the call ended.
Charles leaned back in his chair, his deep gaze looking out the window at the snowy landscape, which seemed somewhat dreamy.
Thinking of Milo, his expression grew more complex.
Milo was a few years younger than him. Although he and Milo's mother had fought fiercely for control of the Montague Group, he and Milo had never fallen out or become enemies.
The memories ended there, and Charles crossed his legs, his face cold.
He couldn't understand why Milo, a musical genius, wouldn't continue his music research, become a musician, or work at a more prestigious music school. Instead, he chose to teach piano electives at the art academy, which wasn't a formal music school.
Moreover, he started working at the art academy a month before Grace, and now they were working together.
It all seemed too coincidental.
The night grew quiet.
Charles stayed in Olivia's room for a while before leaving.
