Chapter 601: Always Support You

Chapter 601: Always Support You

Asher's face turned red with anger as he shouted, "Shut up! What kind of crap are you spewing? Don't you get that spreading lies like that can land you in serious trouble?"

The young man stood his ground, sneering with a face full of mockery. "Lies? Everything I'm saying is out in the open. Everyone here knows about Ms. Windsor's so-called 'masterpieces'!"

He emphasized "masterpieces" with heavy sarcasm, making his point clear, and then threw his head back in a brazen laugh.

Asher, now furious, pointed at him and yelled, "Shut up! If you keep talking crap, get out! Our Art Association doesn't need troublemakers like you!"

The young man rolled his eyes and shot back defiantly, "Fine, I'll leave! Who cares? This unprofessional Art Association isn't worth my time anyway! It's embarrassing to even be associated with it."

Miguel, who was on the young man's side, was about to call him back when he noticed a red sports car approaching. Recognizing the car's owner, his eyes lit up, and he shouted, "It's Miss Adams! Miss Adams is here."

As soon as he said that, he ran towards Flora's car.

The others, upon confirming it was Flora's car, followed suit.

In an instant, the previously crowded area was left with only Grace, Asher, and Jerry.

Asher squinted, looking towards the crowd surrounding Flora, his expression sour.

Jerry clenched his fists, fuming, "These people are so shallow! What kind of people are they?"

Grace's skills might have declined a bit compared to before, but compared to Flora, she was leagues ahead!

Flora's work might look good to the average person, but to professionals, her level was mediocre at best. Strictly speaking, she didn't even qualify to be in the Art Association!

The only reason she got in was because of Jeffrey's influence!

These people blatantly claimed Grace got her position as a judge through Asher's connections, yet completely ignored Flora's backdoor entry through Jeffrey.

They fawned over Flora, flattering her shamelessly, while ignoring those with real talent.

Grace, however, didn't mind. She had faced such slander before and was used to it.

She quickly reassured Asher and Jerry, "President Brown, Jerry, it's not worth getting angry over them. I'm fine."

No wonder some of those people looked familiar earlier. She couldn't place them at first.

Now she remembered. Back when Flora and Charles were engaged, those people were the ones Kismet had sent to trouble her after the ink painting incident, trying to push her away from Charles!

It was clear now—they were Flora's loyal followers.

Hearing her words, Asher and Jerry turned to look at her.

Grace smiled at them. Honestly, she couldn't say she wasn't angry at the mockery she faced earlier.

She remembered Kismet's schemes against her clearly.

But now wasn't the time to get angry. She would wait for the right moment to strike back hard!

She wanted to see who would dare look down on her then!

Asher sighed, "Alright, as long as you're not bothered."

Jerry clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, "Grace, don't worry. I'll always support you!"

Grace smiled slightly, "Thank you. Your support means everything to me."

She silently vowed not to let them down!

After a short while, Flora approached, surrounded by the crowd.

She wore a custom-fitted red gown, her beautiful hair casually draped over her shoulders, and a pair of high heels on her feet.

Her face was adorned with exquisite makeup, and with every step, her hair bounced, complementing her innate elegance and exuding nobility.

With a bright smile, she walked up to them, barely glancing at Grace before smiling at Jerry and Asher, "President Brown, Jerry, how are you?"

Out of politeness, Jerry and Asher smiled back, acknowledging her greeting.

Flora then turned to Grace, smiling, "Ms. Windsor, we meet again. You seem to be in good spirits since our last meeting. I bet after these few days of reflection, you'll produce an even better painting today, right?"

Grace's lips curled into a cold smile, "Miss Adams, you'll see soon enough."

Flora, seeing her arrogance, snorted and was about to leave.

Grace stared at her coldly, "I forgot to tell you, Miss Adams, I remember everything now."

Flora paused, turning back with a puzzled look, "What do you mean? What do you remember?"

"For instance, your fake engagement with Charles, and how your dear grandmother Kismet schemed against me to keep me away from Charles!" Her voice was icy, and as she finished, her cold gaze fell on Miguel standing not far behind Flora.

Those events replayed in her mind—Miguel and his group slandering her online, attacking her without knowing the full story, and even harassing her in person.

They pretended to run into her at a restaurant, said awful things to provoke her, and when she tried to leave without paying, the restaurant owner chased her for the bill while they laughed at her for dining and dashing.

Even when she was pregnant with Yosef, they didn't spare her, ignoring her condition.

She was left helpless, sitting on the ground, when Kismet came to threaten her personally.

Every word Kismet said that day was etched in her memory.

And she remembered the faces of those who mocked her clearly!

Hearing her words, Flora's eyes narrowed, a hint of guilt flashing across her face.

Miguel and his group also looked away guiltily.

Asher and Jerry were stunned by her revelation.

Jerry was the first to react, quickly asking, "Grace, are you saying Kismet schemed against you? And Miguel was involved too?"

Grace's lips parted, about to answer, but Flora interrupted coldly, "Grace, you're right about my fake engagement with Mr. Montague. But my grandmother scheming against you? That's impossible! She's too old to bother with someone like you!"

Miguel stepped forward, standing by Flora, "Ms. Windsor, why would you say that? Why slander us? Are you holding a grudge because your landscape painting at Jeffrey's event was ridiculed? What does that have to do with Miss Adams or Kismet?"

As soon as he finished, others chimed in, "Oh my, she's so petty! We just said her painting was bad, and she holds a grudge? It was bad, though!"

They quickly shifted the focus to Grace's painting, successfully diverting the conflict.

Newcomers in the crowd, unaware of the full story, looked at Grace with mocking eyes.

In the past, Grace might have been too scared to speak up, possibly even running away.

But now, her gaze was icy, her mind clear, "Stop pretending. I'm not stupid. I know whether you're targeting my work or me personally, and I remember everything."

Her words made sense, and the crowd turned to Miguel.

Miguel clenched his fists, trying to stay calm, "Fine, you say we're targeting you. Do you have proof? Show us the evidence."
