THE DAY THE MAGIC DIDN'T ANSWER

THE DAY THE MAGIC DIDN'T ANSWER
Chapter 180.

Claudia's pov.

“A month?” I stared in disbelief with my mouth open ajar, not for a second believing a word he was saying. This was obviously something sort of prank.

But the look on Warren's face said otherwise. The smile only fell as he was telling the truth, I had been gone for over a month when I was with the moon goddess for a few minutes.

I guess time works differently in both worlds.

I worked up a smile, my lips pressed firmly against each other.

There was so much I had missed, “what happened to everyone now? My parents, what happened to the seaside pack? Reagan?” I voiced out in a whisper.

“Well, your parents are physically alright and together, but ever since you've been in a coma, they haven't really been the happiest couple,”

My head bowed down in shame, I was causing them even more pain in my absence, so typical of me.

Warren continued, “Every other person is fine, we are just trying to rebuild and for Reagan and the seaside pack, we sent out a message that we would be returned soon, however, we haven't gotten a response,”

That was odd

For over a month?

That didn't sound like Reagan or the others, especially knowing how desperate they were for a supposed cure, or had they given up already.

I mean it wouldn't make a difference would it? Was there really a cure?

Warren held me out of the bed and I sat at the corners, my bare feet touched the ground pushing my weight into them, they felt foreign.

Truly they hadn't been used for a long while, I felt like a fish out of water that was just learning how to walk.

Luckily, Warren was by my side every step of the way, I got changed into new cloths and we both made our way out of the room, only then did I realise we were still in the palace.

A thought struck me, “What about Sage?” I already knew Crofts fate as I was the one to deliver the final blow.

“Her father took her, they returned to the brimstone coven where she would face trial and judgement,” I didn't know how to feel about that.

After all she had done? What if they didn't find her guilty and set her free, then again, it's not like I wanted her dead or anything.

The palace was being renovated, under the authorities if the righteous heir which was apparently my mother, that was if she wanted it.

“There was still keto amongst the line as well so…” he trialed off shrugging, propping his arm around my waist tightly even though I had already gotten the handing walking again.

We made our way outside and that was when I spotted my mother in the garden, just…..staring out, her eyes distant, she looked like she had aged a decade more and my heart only tightened.

Why did I always have to cause her such sufferings.

She must have heard the sound of our footsteps, “I'm not eating Warren, I already told you, I don't have the app…

.” She turned around, lashing in her tracks.

Her eyes shot wide open and she stared at me, the same look Warren had, one of disbelief, “Claudia? Is..is that really you?”

I nodded my head, the tears gathering and I realised I really didn't want to cry again, there was no tears left to cry.

She strolled over and wrapped her hands around my neck, pulling me into a deep hug, “I didn’t think I would see you again,” she whispered into my hair.

We remained like this until she inched away and in the next second, is aw my father standing beside me, peering down at me and I realised this was truly the first time I saw him properly.

Now I knew where I got the colour of my eyes from, the one that made me an outcast, and here he was flaunting it like it was the best part of him.

He smiled before pulling me into a hug, at first I thought to weird considering I didn't have that close of a relationship with him but after a while, I wrapped my arms around his waist tightly and layed on my mother joined in.

This was the first time, that I had both my parents beside me, a feeling that I had longed for all of my life, that I had cried to the moon goddess for each day and now I finally had it.

We remained like this until they finally let go, however I really wished we could stay like that forever.

After a little exhange, my mother cleared the air on her decision, “I would take over,”

“keto isn't ready yet and it had always been my duty to take over in the first place and perhaps if I had, none of this would have happened in the first place,”

I assured her that it wasn't her fault and it would have still all happened because it had been predestined in all of our future, some way some how, everything would have aligned perfectly.

I went with my mother who informed me that there was a lot to do, “The witches had long gone and now Warren is the only one helping us with the renovations,”

“Perhaps I can help,”

My mother shut down the idea before it was even out from my lips, “Absolultu not, I don't want you working or stressing yourself for any reason, we just got you back and I am not about to lose you again,”

I chuckled, watching how she, in a stern manner cautioned some out of live and cafe and I couldn't help my heart sweliing with joy and pride.

But I was still going to hope the little I could, at least that was what I thought I would do until when I tired to move a boulder with my mind.
