Chapter Twenty-Four

Aaron's POV:

I took a deep breath and let my body fall on my bed. As soon as I close my eyes, the face of Kim appeared. I wanted to be angry, to be furious but whenever I think of her again, the anger was gone. She followed me. She already knew about Brittany and my mom. I felt stupid and weak. Yesterday I didn't talk to her again. I had to call Chase to make sure that she reached home safe. Was I overreacting? I hated to feel weak and that's how I felt right now. That girl is going to be the death of me. My phone buzzed next to me. It was a message.

I'm sorry :(

A smile crept on my face. What did I say? Kim was going to be the death of me. I did hate the fact that she followed me but somehow it showed that she cared. I had to visit my mother today. I got up and went to take my shower. What the hell was happening to me? How can a girl affect me that much? I let the warm water run on my skin which made me relax instantly.

I took my keys and got in my car. Damn, today there will be Kim's photo shooting and Lucky was going to be there. Seriously? What kind of name is that? Lucky? I parked the car in the hospital parking and got out if the car. I smiled at the nurses. I twirled my keys around my finger in the elevator. Ting! The elevator stopped and I made my way to my mom's bedroom. When I walked in, my mom smiled. I sat next to her, and she kissed my cheek.

"You didn't bring Kim?” she asked with a frown.

"She told me you already met,” I told her with a glare, and she smiled innocently. She shrugged and took my hands in hers.

"She's one generous and caring girl,” my mom said softly. "I will never forget how she helped us,” my mother said with teary eyes. I looked at him confusingly.

"Help?” I asked and she nodded.

"She didn't tell you?” she asked and shook her head. "I hope she won't hate me,” she mumbled to herself. "The association that's supporting us is her parents',” my mother said. I blinked several times trying to get that in my head. That's why her parents were here.

"What?” I whispered.

"The day she followed you, I told her about Brittany and then she called her parents asking for help,” my mother cleared. "As her parents have an association which take care of cancerous persons, they happily helped,” my mother said.

"Oh my god,” I mumbled when I realized that I fucked up. She did help me, and I yelled at her.

"What's the matter?” my mother asked with a frown.

"We got in a fight yesterday,” I said, and she immediately slapped my head.

"Don't tell me it's because she followed you!” she exclaimed, and I nodded. "That's why she told me not to say a word,” my mother said shaking her head.

"She's different Aaron,” my mother said. "And she likes you,” she continues. "Go and apologize for your behavior,” she said pushing me away. Kim seemed to have won my mom's heart. She seems to win everyone's heart. Mine for starting.

I dialed Kim's number. It rang, rang, and rang but she didn't answer. I called Chase who answered immediately. "Hey dude, where's Kim?” I asked.

"She's with us,” he replied. "We're going for her photo shooting,” he continued.

"Where's her phone?” I asked.

"Where's your phone?” I heard Chase ask her, making me roll my eyes.

"Can I talk to her?” I asked and seconds later, I heard her breathless voice.

"Hey,” she said, and I smiled.

"Hey,” I said back.

"Did you take my phone only to say hey?” Chase asked teasingly.

"I wanted to apologize for being an asshole yesterday,” I said, and I heard her chuckle.

"I'm getting used to it,” she said and this time I laugh. "I'm sorry too,” she apologized. "Can I talk to you later?” she asked, and I could hear the door opened in the background.

"Miss Perry,” Someone greeted.

"Okay,” I said. Chase apparently took the phone.

"I'm going to text you the address,” Chase said. "Come here,” he said and ended the call. Minutes later, he texted me the address and I started driving.

Kim's POV:

I was so happy that Aaron called. At first, I wasn't willing to do the shooting because I wasn't in the mood to do it. Fighting with Aaron was lame. Now I was glad to do it. I stepped in the office and smiled at the responsible of the shooting.

"Miss Perry,” he greeted. He motioned to the seats. I sat in front of him. Grace and Chase sat in the v back. "So, this photo shooting will be for evening dresses,” he informed. I now realized that it was the shooting that I've rejected. Mom must have called them to accept it. I nodded and he smiled. There's a soft knock on the door. It opened and in walked Lucky followed be his agent. When his eyes fell on me, a big smile crept on his face.

"Ella,” he breathed and walked to meet. I stood up and stuck my hand out for me. He looked at me quizzically and shook it. "You're acting as if we are strangers,” he stated. Even though he cheated on me, I can't deny that his accent was cute. His blond hair and gray eyes would naturally make any girl swoon.

"I wish we were,” I simply mumbled. He looked at me and shook his head.

"Don't be like this,” he pleaded. "I apologized,” he said, and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Strictly professional,” I mumbled.

"So, I'm Thomas,” the responsible of the shooting introduced. I smiled. I was glad that he actually broke that weird conversation. "I'm going to show you the clothes that you are going to wear,” he said looking at me. I nodded and he stood up. I followed him leaving Lucky behind. Grace and Chase walked behind me. "I'm going to ask your friends to wait in the photo shooting hall,” he said looking at Grace and Chase. They guys nodded and followed the assistant of Thomas. I walked in the room and my eyes widened at the beautiful dresses. Thomas walked towards a table where a black dress was lying. "You'll be wearing this for the first session,” he showed, and I nodded. "But first we're going to do your make up, then you'll put on the dress,” he explained. "Finally, they'll do your hair,” he motioned to where the stylists were standing. "So, I'm going to leave you with them,” he said with a smile before leaving the room. I went and sat on the chair.

"I'm Stella. I'm going to do your make-up and hair,” she said with a smile. I smiled back. "What's your age?” she asked casually as she took a pallet of make-up.

"Seventeen,” I replied. "And you?” I asked.

"Twenty-two,” she said. I nodded and she started putting on the make-up. After a few minutes, she was done. She gave me the dress and I put it on. She decided to let my hair loose and curled it a bit. After an hour, it was finally done. I stood in front of the mirror and took a deep breath.

I looked different.
