Chapter 119 Chapter 119
Chapter 119 Chapter 119
“Tell me son,” Scott sighed, finally relaxing his shoulders and returning back to the chair. “This relationship between you two... has it been consummated?”
“Consummated?” Ace repeated. “What—what does that even mean?”
Scott exhaled softly. “I mean... have you guys had sex?”
“Oh, my goodness,” Ace rolled his eyes. “Then just say that then—”
“Ace,’ Scott snapped, interrupting Ace mid-sentence. But then he sighed again and shook his head. “Yes, you’re right. I should have said that.”
Watching Scott and Ace go back and forth while I stayed frozen in my seat was nothing less exhausting. They had bonded before but my decision to reveal my secret affair with his son had reopened an old wound.
But I couldn’t stay silent for long.
“Well, actually,” I said quietly. The two of them went quiet as their heads turned to me in a timely order.
“Yes, Sabrina?” Scott muttered.
“We’ve had sex,” I answered. “Not once, not twice.”
Ace jumped in.
“You remember the dream you told Sabrina... the one you said we both fucked her.”
“Yes?” Scott frowned.
“It wasn’t a dream,” Ace added. “We actually did it. The only reason you couldn’t remember exactly what happened, was because you had a lot to drink. Or maybe, you didn’t want it to be real. So you convinced yourself that it was nothing but a dream.”
I watched as color drained from Scott’s face.
“It really wasn’t a dream, Dad,” Ace said.
Scott turned to me. I could see the pain in his eyes. I sat there as Scott’s eyes stayed on me, unblinking. The silence after Ace’s words stretched so tight it felt like it might snap and cut us all open.
Scott didn’t shout. That almost made it worse.
“I love you,” he said hoarsely, his voice breaking in a way I had never heard before. “I still love you, Sabrina. That hasn’t changed.”
My chest tightened painfully. Hearing those words from him even after everything, felt like I was being crushed.
“I can’t,” I whispered, shaking my head. “I can’t stay and pretend anymore. I can’t keep juggling being your wife and being… Ace’s.” My throat closed around his name, but I forced it out. “I’ve made my decision.”
Scott stood slowly, his chair scraping against the floor. “And where will you go?” he asked. “Your mother is in custody. She’s gone. Where does that leave you?”
I swallowed. “I’ll go back to my family house,” I said quietly. “I’ll figure it out.”
Scott shook his head immediately. “I won’t allow that. That place is broken. You know it is. It’s not a home, it never was. I can’t let you go back there.”
“You can’t let me?” I repeated. “Scott, you don’t own me.”
“That’s not what I mean,” he said quickly, rubbing his temples. “I mean—stay. Stay here. Let’s work this out. We don’t have to decide everything tonight.”
Ace scoffed softly. “Dad, she already told you she doesn’t love you,” he said, his voice sharper now. “Why are you forcing this?”
I stood up then, my legs trembling. “I don’t love you the way you deserve,” I said, forcing myself to meet Scott’s eyes. “And you’re too old for me.”
Scott flinched like I had slapped him.
“I’ve heard the whispers,” I went on, my voice shaking now. “People saying I have daddy issues. Saying I married you for money. Saying I’m sick, broken, desperate.” I laughed bitterly. “I hate those names. I hate what they turn me into.”
Scott’s jaw tightened. “Who’s been saying that to you?”
“It doesn’t matter,” I said quickly. “What matters is that there’s someone here who actually wants you. Someone who’s loved you openly for years.” I looked past him. “Mary.”
Scott let out a humorless laugh. “I don’t love Mary.”
“But she loves you,” I said. “And she’s loyal. She hasn’t betrayed you.”
He stepped closer to me. “And how can you stand there and tell me I should stop loving you?” he asked, voice breaking again.
“How can you? Even after telling you I've been with your son behind my back?”
“I don’t know,” Scott said suddenly. “I don’t care, and I don’t care about what anyone thinks.” His eyes shone. “We’ll fix it. We always do.”
Ace shook his head slowly. “I can’t listen to this anymore.”
He turned and walked out of the dining room, his footsteps heavy as they faded down the hallway.
The sound of him leaving made something final settle in my chest.
“I’ve made up my mind,” I said to Scott. “I’m leaving.”
Scott closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them.
“Okay,” he said softly. “Then stay.”
I frowned. “What?”
“Stay here,” he repeated. “In this house. You don’t have to be my wife anymore. You can be free. Do whatever you want.”
My heart started racing. “Scott, what are you saying?”
“I’m saying you don’t have to leave,” he continued. “You don’t have to choose between us. You can stay here. Be with Ace. And still be with me.”
I stared at him, stunned.
“We both love you,” he went on, his voice low, pleading. “My son and I. And if marriage is what makes this wrong... then we end it. No more titles. No more rules. Just… us.”
I felt dizzy. “You’re asking me to—”
“To stay,” he finished. “To think about it.”
I couldn’t speak. My thoughts tangled together.
“Just think about it, Sabrina,” Scott said quietly. “Please.”
As strange as it might sound, I stopped fighting the truth the moment I confessed. I loved the way Scott’s presence grounded me, the way his eyes still softened when they found mine. And I loved the fire in Ace, the hunger, the youth, the way he made me feel seen and wanted in ways that set my skin alive. Being with both of them didn’t confuse me anymore.
The freedom, the choice, the openness, the absence of rules and regulations, felt intoxicating. I didn’t want to be owned. I wanted to be desired. I wanted to keep discovering them, and myself, without shame or restraint.
I smiled then, finally honest with my heart.
I wanted all of it.
