Chapter 44 The Kings move II
Melissa's pov
Cassandra’s face had gone from pale to crimson. She stood abruptly, her chair scraping loudly. “This is…this is fabricated! Someone edited this footage…”
“Sit down, Cassandra.” Gavin’s voice was ice.
She didn’t sit. “I’m being framed! This is clearly manipulated…”
“The metadata confirms the footage is unaltered.” Gavin gestured to the screen. “It was the original file. Original timestamp. Taken from your office security camera that you somehow forgot existed.”
The vibration surged higher.
My vision blurred. My legs trembled.
Oh God. Oh God no.
“That’s not…I never…” Cassandra’s voice pitched higher, desperate now. “You have to believe me, this isn’t…”
“The man in the footage is Gerald Pierce,” Gavin continued calmly. “Former employee. Fired six months ago for embezzlement. He’s currently under investigation by the FBI.” He looked directly at Cassandra. “Did you really think we wouldn’t find the connection?”
The toy pulsed in waves now. Strong. Overwhelming.
I couldn’t hold back anymore.
My breath came in short, sharp gasps. My whole body tensed, thighs clenching desperately as the pleasure built and built and built.
“I want a lawyer…” Cassandra’s voice sounded far away now.
“You’ll need one.” Gavin’s tone never changed. “Marcus, call security. Have Ms. Cassandra escorted from the building. And contact the police. She’s to be arrested for fraud, embezzlement, and conspiracy.”
“Yes, sir.”
The vibration reached its peak.
I bit down so hard on my lip I tasted blood, trying to muffle the sound that wanted to escape. My nails dug into the wood of the table.
Around me, chaos erupted as security guards entered the room. Cassandra was screaming now, her voice shrill and panicked.
“This is a setup! You can’t do this! Gavin, please… I love you, I love you…..”
But I couldn’t hear her anymore.
Because I was coming apart.
The orgasm crashed over me like a tidal wave, so intense I saw stars. My whole body convulsed, pleasure ripping through me in waves that wouldn’t stop. I doubled over slightly, one hand pressed to my mouth, the other still gripping the table for dear life.
Wave after wave. Endless. Overwhelming.
My vision whited out.
I couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t think. Could only feel the devastating pleasure coursing through every nerve ending in my body.
Somewhere in the distance, I heard Cassandra being dragged from the room, still screaming, still protesting.
The other employees were standing now, talking in shocked, hushed tones.
“…can’t believe she did that…”
“…poor Melissa…”
“…always seemed so professional…”
My legs gave out.
I collapsed back into my chair, still trembling, my body wracked with aftershocks.
The toy finally, mercifully, went still.
I sat there gasping, my face flushed, my entire body covered in a thin sheen of sweat.
Slowly, my vision cleared.
The conference room was half empty now. Security had taken Cassandra away. Several employees had left, presumably too shocked to stay. Mrs. Patterson…the woman with the broken hand…was gone too, likely to the hospital.
Only a handful of people remained. Marcus stood near the door, looking shell-shocked. Sarah sat at the far end of the table, her face pale.
And Gavin sat at the head of the table, perfectly composed, watching me with those dark, unreadable eyes.
He’d done that on purpose.
Made me come in front of everyone while they were distracted by the footage. While they were focused on Cassandra’s downfall.
No one had noticed. They’d been too shocked by the revelation, too busy watching Cassandra fall apart to pay attention to me.
But he’d known.
The realization sent another shiver through me.
“Melissa.” His voice cut through my haze. Professional. Detached. “I apologize for the distress this situation has caused you. Obviously, all allegations against you are dropped. You’ll receive a formal apology from the company, and we’ll be conducting a thorough review of our security protocols to prevent this from happening again.”
I couldn’t speak. Could barely nod.
“Take the rest of the day off.” He closed his laptop. “Marcus will arrange for a driver to take you home.”
“I…” My voice came out hoarse. “I can drive myself…”
“That wasn’t a suggestion.” His eyes held mine for just a moment. “Go home. Rest. We’ll discuss this further tomorrow.”
The meaning was clear. We’d discuss what just happened…all of it…when we were alone.
I stood on shaking legs, grabbed my notebook and phone, and walked toward the door.
Sarah caught my arm as I passed. “Melissa, are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” The lie came automatically. “Just… shocked.”
“We all are.” She squeezed my arm gently. “I’m so sorry you had to go through that.”
I nodded and kept walking.
The hallway felt impossibly long. My legs were weak, my body still humming with residual pleasure and shock and a dozen other emotions I couldn’t name.
What the hell just happened?
Cassandra had framed me. Had planned to destroy me. Had almost succeeded.
And Gavin had let it play out. Had let me stand there, accused and humiliated, while he sat there looking cold and detached.
Until he’d broken that woman’s hand without a second thought.
Until he’d revealed the footage that proved my innocence.
Until he’d made me come in a room full of people while they watched Cassandra’s life implode.
I reached the elevator and pressed the button with a trembling finger.
The doors opened. I stepped inside.
And as they closed, I finally let out the breath I’d been holding.
My phone buzzed.
A text. From Gavin.
You did well, piccola. Tonight, you’ll be rewarded properly. Every inch of you.
Heat flooded through me again despite everything.
The elevator descended, carrying me away from the chaos, away from the accusations, away from the conference room where I’d just experienced the most intense, humiliating, devastating orgasm of my life.
And all I could think about was tonight.
About what he’d do to me when we were finally alone.
About how much I wanted it despite everything.
God help me.
I was in so deep I couldn’t see the surface anymore.
