~ Nyssa's Pov ~

I put down the basket on the spread-out mat, setting out disposable plates for Ronan, me and our son, Henry.

Instinctively, I rubbed my hand against my round belly as Ronan approached with a wide smile on his face, our son hanging on his shoulder, giggling at some silly daddy joke.

“Mommy!” he screamed as Ronan let him down. My cheeks warmed as I pulled my bundle of joy into a tight hug.

“Hmm, what's that amazing smell?” Ronan sat down beside me, rubbing my back softly. I had complained about back pains last night, and he had promised to help.
Of course I would, knowing I had three people in there. The doctor said the pregnancy was going well this time. I was healthy and would give birth to healthy babies.

“Is that chicken soup?”

“Yes,” I giggled as I ladled some into a plate for him. Delighted, he picked up the spoon and arranged a plate for our son.
Looking back at everything, I was glad. Gllad that he had been with me through the bad days, and now here we were: a family of three, expecting three more. Dad was happy; Rosa had somehow fallen in love with Henry; I had no grudge against her.

I used to think Ronan had made a big mistake saving me, but now I could see it. Now I realized the sacrifices he made had hurt us, yes, but they were meant to build us back together.

I leaned in, placing a kiss on his cheek and another on Henry's forehead.

This was by far the best thing anyone could have: peace. No fighting or plotting behind the scenes. Genuine peace, you knew you had a home to come back to, a child and a husband who both supported you and looked up to you.

It was all I had ever wanted, and I couldn't thank the universe enough.

“I love you and this tastes amazing,” Ronan said. Thank God, Rosa’s recipe has finally clicked for me. Awesome. I proceeded to pour rice onto their plates and dish out my own meal.

The mat was orderly arranged, with fruits and chocolate in one corner and food in the other. The park's air wafted across my face.

“I love you too, Ro.”

The perfect dinner for my own family. My jewels. My eternal peace.

As much as this was a long ride for me as the author, I would like to thank the people who read my book until the end. Anyssa and Ronan were just an idea that I thought to put on paper, and now here we are.
For more insight about Ruby: she was sent to jail with no bail. She was never a threat to the family. Calder and Rosa dealt with it. They confessed to each other, and Rosa apologized to Anyssa and Ronan for every pain Ruby caused.

The friendship between Calder and Ronan eventually deepened, and they saw each other not just as best friends, but as in-laws. Oh, and Nyssa did become a professional painter, after four years of learning. Her art was sponsored by various business partners, and eventually, her works were displayed in museums and galleries. She also supported women who had problems during pregnancy and those who suffered severe comas.
