Chapter 34 EXPLORATION II
Ava's POV
Unlawfully being with Dominic made me hate new numbers, many came in with warning messeges, and now its another here, unkown number, a notificaton felt heavy and I never wanted to open it, but I became curious when I read the first words which popped on the top of my screen.
"I saw you in the sauna with Adrian. Does Dominic know his girlfriend is a slut?" The messege sounded straight, my thumb hovered over the screen and my eyes opened widely.
I trembled and my stomach dropped, "who could that be" Isomeone had seen us. But who? Why again? Why was I always getting caught while getting fucked?
The messege made my lungs shallow for seconds, my life, my secrets, my carefully hidden truth. Who knew what i had done?
I self forcefully looked at the message again and realized it had a photo attached so I clicked on it. It was of me and Adrian in the sauna with his hand under my dress, my head thrown back.
Whoever took this had been watching the whole time. I wondered whether Dominic had hire a spy to stalk me. I tried to call the number but it went straight to voicemail, then another text came.
"Don't worry. Your secret is safe, for now." The number texted back . I sat on the bed feeling sick. This was bad, really bad. I didn't know how I slept off and from what it seemed like I had slept for about three hours.
When I woke up, there was a knock on my door and I opened it expecting Dominic but it was Maya and I opened my eyes widened. How the hell?
"Surprise! I got a last minute flight!" She hugged me tight.
"I couldn't let you deal with all this drama alone."
"Maya, what are you doing here?" I asked still shocked as we had just chatted before I had slept off.
"Being a good friend. Now let me in. We have so much to talk about." She said as I moved asides still baffled. I let her in and showed her the texts and her face went serious.
"Okay. This is not good. Who would do this?" She asked.
"I don't know. Isabella maybe? Victoria?" I said as those were the only
people who would do anything to get between us.
"Could be anyone. Half the company is here." She sat on the bed.
"What are you going to do?"
"I don't know. If Dominic sees these photos..." I said and trailed off.
"Then tell him first. Control the narrative." She said.
"Tell him I let another man finger me in a sauna? Yeah, that'll go great." I
replied sarcasticically.
"Better than him finding out from someone else." She grabbed my hands.
"Ava, you need to figure out what you really want. Do you want Dominic? Do you want
to explore? Do you want both?"
"I don't know!" I siad.
"Then figure it out fast. Because this is about to blow up in your face." She
replied. It was true that i needed to make a decision, but first I needed to know who took
those photos.
"Help me find out who sent these," I said.
"How?" She asked confused.
"I don't know. Maybe we can trace the number or something."
Maya took my phone and looked at the messages. "This is a burner number. But
the photo metadata might tell us something."
She did some typing and checking and then her eyes went wide.
"What?" I asked.
"The photo was taken from outside the gym. Through the sauna window. And look at the
reflection."
She zoomed in on the glass. In the corner, barely visible, was a figure. It was a
female,with a long dark hair.
I stood up immediately as I was so ready to go confront her. I got dressed in jeans and a tank top and went looking for Isabella. I found her at the beach bar with some guys from the company.
"We need to talk," I said.
"I'm busy." She said casually
"Now." I said and she rolled her eyes but followed me away from the group. We walked
to a quiet part of the beach.
"What do you want?" she asked.
"You sent me those photos. From the sauna." I replied.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." She faked innocence.
"Don't lie. I saw the reflection, it was you." I said
She smiled.
"Okay fine. It was me. So what?"
"So delete them. Now." I said pretty standing my froun.
"Why would I do that? They're pretty good leverage." She asking,clapping her hands together like the whole thing sounds funny to her.
"Leverage for what?"
"For getting what I want. Which is Dominic." She stepped closer.
"He almost slept with me today. Did he tell you that? We were in his room. He was hard for me. If he hadn't gotten a conscience at the last second, I would've had him.
I wanted to hit her but I controlled myself.
"He chose me. He'll always choose me."
"Will he? Even after he sees these photos of you with Adrian? Even after he knows
you're just as bad as him?" She asked.
"You're going to show him?" I asked her too.
"Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on if you do what I say." She has replied.
"Which is?" I asked again.
"Leave. Go home. End things with Dominic. Let him be with someone who actually deserves
him." She said and i laughed.
"You're insane if you think I'm doing that." I replied.
"Then I guess Dominic gets to see how his girlfriend really is." She pulled out her phone. "Should I send them now or wait until tomorrow? I think tomorrow would be more dramatic."
"You're a bitch." I cursed.
"And you're a hypocrite. At least I'm honest about wanting him. You pretend to be in love while fucking other men." She said and walked away before I could respond. I stood there shaking with anger and fear.
Maya appeared next to me.
"I heard everything. She was loud."
"What do I do?" I asked and Maya had adviced me to tell Dominic which seemed
like the best option for now.
"He'll hate me" I had said to her.
"Maybe.
But he'll hate you more if he finds out from her." She replied and that was very true. Maybe he'd be understanding and we can have an agreement to explore, right?
I should tell him tonight so I walked back to the hotel and knocked on his door and he opened it. He was shirtless and even surprised to see me.
"Ava? What's wrong?" He asked with his hands still on the door knob.
"We need to talk. And you're not going to like what I have to say.”
