Chapter 24 CONSEQUENCES

Chapter 24 CONSEQUENCES
Ava's POV

"Wait," I breathed as his fingers teased me through the fabric.

"The windows..."

Dominic reached behind me without breaking eye contact and pressed something on his desk. Instantly the glass walls went from frosted to completely opaque, blocking out the entire office from view.

"Better?" His voice was rough as he pulled my panties down and tossed them aside.

"Someone could still come in..."

"I locked it." His fingers returned, sliding through my wetness.

"Now stop thinking about them and focus on me."

He pushed one finger inside and I gasped, my hands gripping the edge of his desk. He added a second finger and started moving them in a rhythm that had me biting my lip to stay quiet.

"You're so wet already." He leaned in close, his mouth finding my neck.

"Is this from arguing with me or from knowing everyone heard us?"

"Both," I admitted breathlessly.

His thumb found my clit and circled it slowly while his fingers continued working inside me. My head fell back and he used his free hand to unbutton my blouse, pushing it open along with my bra to expose my breasts.

"I've been thinking about this all morning," he said, his mouth moving down to take one nipple between his teeth.

"Watching you walk around my office in this dress, knowing what's underneath."

The combination of his fingers and his mouth was overwhelming and I felt myself getting close embarrassingly fast.

"Dominic..."

"Not yet." He pulled his fingers out and I made a frustrated sound that made him smile.

"Turn around. Hands on the desk."

I did what he said with shaking legs and he stepped behind me, pushing my skirt up around my waist. His hands ran over my ass appreciatively before one hand came down in a sharp smack that made me gasp.

"That's for leaving without telling me." Another smack on the other side.

"That's for letting Marcus flirt with you." A third, harder.

"And that's for arguing with me."

My skin was stinging and I was so turned on I could barely think straight. I heard his belt buckle and then felt him pressing against my entrance.

"Tell me you want this," he demanded.

"I want it. Please." I said

He pushed inside in one smooth thrust and we both groaned. From this angle he was deeper than ever and I had to brace myself against the desk as he started moving.

"So fucking perfect," he muttered, his hands gripping my hips hard.

"You take me so well."

He set a punishing pace, one hand moving around to rub my clit while he fucked me over his desk. The sounds were obscene in the quiet office and I was grateful for the soundproofing because I couldn't stay quiet anymore.

"That's it," he encouraged when I started getting louder.

"Let me hear you. Let me hear what I do to you."

His fingers worked faster and I felt the orgasm building, my whole body tensing.

"Come for me, Ava. Come on my cock."

I came hard, my legs shaking, his name falling from my lips. He followed seconds later with a groan, his body pressed against my back as he emptied himself inside me.

We stayed like that for a moment, both of us breathing hard, before he slowly pulled out. I started to straighten up but his hands on my hips stopped me.

"Stay just like that for a second," he said, his voice still rough. "I want to look at you."

"Dominic..."

"Beautiful," he interrupted, running his hands over my ass again.

"Absolutely beautiful."

Finally he let me up and I turned around, suddenly very aware that my blouse was open, my bra pushed down, my skirt around my waist, and his release was dripping down my thigh.

"Bathroom?" I asked.

He pointed to a door in the corner I hadn't noticed before and I grabbed my panties and hurried over on unsteady legs.

When I came back out Dominic was buttoning his shirt, looking perfectly composed except for the slight flush on his cheeks.

"I should get back to my office," I said.

"Probably." But he pulled me close for one more kiss.

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry I was controlling about lunch. You're right that you should be able to eat with your coworkers."

"Really?"

"Really. But I'm not sorry about this." He gestured to the desk.

"You're mine, Ava. And sometimes I need to remind both of us of that."

"I know I'm yours." I straightened his collar.

"But you need to trust me more. Trust that I'm not going to run off with Marcus or anyone else." I said and he laughed.

"I'm working on it." He said and there was a sharp knock on the door.

We both froze.

"Mr. Hayes?" Priya's voice came through.

"Your three o'clock is here early. They're waiting in the conference room."

"I'll be right there," he called back.

I grabbed my jacket and he pressed the button to make the windows transparent again.

Dominic opened the door and I walked out first, trying to look casual and professional.

Adrian was standing right outside and his eyes went straight to my chest and I looked down to realize in my rush I'd buttoned my blouse wrong. One side was higher than the other and my bra was still visible through the gap.

My face burned hot as I quickly tried to fix it.

"Miss Scott," Adrian said, his voice carefully neutral, but I saw the knowing look in his eyes. "Mr. Hayes asked me to check if you needed anything for your office."

"I'm fine. Thank you." I said quickly.

I walked as quickly as I could back to my own office, feeling his eyes on me the whole way. When I got there Jenny looked up from her computer and her eyes widened.

"Um, Miss Scott? Your hair is..." She gestured vaguely.

I reached up and felt that half of it had come loose from the bun I'd put it in this morning.

I quickly headed over to the bathroom.

One look in the mirror confirmed I looked exactly like someone who'd just been fucked over a desk.

I did my best to fix everything but there was only so much I could do. Finally I gave up and went back to my desk.

Around four o'clock my office phone rang.

"This is Ava."

"Miss Scott, this is security." The voice was professional but tense.

"We need you to come down to the lobby immediately."

My stomach dropped.

"Is everything okay?"

"Just please come down, ma'am."

I grabbed my purse and headed for the elevator, my heart pounding. When I reached the lobby I saw two security guards standing with someone I recognized. It was Ryan.

The guy from the bar and the one Maya had given my number to.

"Ava!" He smiled when he saw me.

"There you are. I've been trying to call but you haven't answered, so I thought I'd stop by."

"How did you know where I work?"

"You mentioned Hayes International when we met, remember?" He stepped toward me but one of the security guards moved to block him.

"I was hoping we could grab that coffee we talked about."

"I don't remember us talking about coffee." I said

"Sure we did. At the bar. You said you'd love to hang out sometime."

I definitely had not said that.

"Ryan, I'm sorry but I'm seeing someone. I can't..." I was staring i heard

"Is this him?" A familiar voice came from behind me and I turned to see Dominic walking across the lobby, Adrian right behind him.

"Is this the man who's been texting you?"

"Texting?" Ryan looked confused.

"I haven't texted her. I didn't have her number until yesterday when her friend gave it to me."

Dominic's eyes went dark and he looked at me.

"Maya gave him my number," I explained quickly. "I didn't ask her to. I didn't even respond to his texts."

"But you saved his number."

"How do you..." Then I realized.

"You've been looking at my phone?"

"Security measure."

"That's a violation of privacy!"

"This is a private building," Ryan interrupted, clearly not reading the room.

"You can't just..."

"You need to leave," Dominic said, his voice deadly calm as he turned to Ryan.

"And you need to stop contacting Ava. She's not interested."

"Why don't we let her decide that?"

"I'm deciding," I said quickly before this got any worse.

"Ryan, you seem nice but I'm with someone. I'm sorry if there was any confusion."

Ryan looked between me and Dominic and something on his face changed.

"Right. Of course. The billionaire boss." He laughed but it wasn't friendly.

"I should have known. Girls like you always go for the money."

"Excuse me?" My voice went cold.

"You heard me. How much is he paying you to..."

He didn't get to finish because Dominic moved faster than I'd ever seen him move, grabbing Ryan by the collar and slamming him against the wall.

"Get out of my building before I have you arrested for trespassing," Dominic said, his voice barely above a whisper but more threatening than if he'd been yelling.

"Mr. Hayes..." Adrian started.

"Now," Dominic growled.

Security escorted a protesting Ryan out while everyone in the lobby stared at us.

When we got back to Dominic's office he closed the door and turned on me.

"Why did Maya give him your number?" He asked

"I don't know! I didn't ask her to!" I protested

"But you didn't tell her not to either."

"I didn't think it mattered! I wasn't planning on calling him!"

"Then why save his number?"

"I don't know! Maybe because I wanted to have options in case this thing between us didn't work out!"

His expression went cold and he was silent for a while.

"Options," he repeated. "You want options."

"That's not what I meant..."

"No, I think it's exactly what you meant." He moved to his desk and pulled something from the drawer.

"Here."

He handed me a check of five hundred thousand dollars.

"What is this?"

"Payment for the rest of the contract. Six months worth." His voice was flat.

"Take it. Go find your options. We're done."

My chest felt like it was caving in and I was still surprised he could say that.

"You're breaking the contract?"

"You want out. So get out." He turned his back to me.

"Have security escort you to get your things from the penthouse. I don't want to see you when I get home."

"Dominic, please..." I tried to talk but his mind seemed made up.

"Get out, Ava."

I stood there for a moment, tears burning my eyes, before I turned and walked out.

Adrian was waiting outside the office and one look at my face told him everything he needed to know.

"Miss Scott..."

"Take me to the penthouse," I said, my voice shaking. "I need to get my things."

The drive was silent except for the sound of me trying not to cry. When we got to the building Adrian rode up in the elevator with me.

"He doesn't mean it," Adrian said quietly. "He's just angry."

"He gave me a check for half a million dollars and told me to leave. I think he means it." I replied.

In the penthouse I moved mechanically, gathering my clothes, my toiletries, the few personal items I'd accumulated over the past weeks.

When I was done packing, Adrian was waiting by the door.

"Ready, Miss Scott?"

"Yeah. I'm ready."

We rode down in silence and he loaded my bags into the car. As we pulled away from the building I looked back one more time.

And i saw Dominic standing at his window, watching me leave.
