Chapter 12 - Don't have a choice
~Harriet~
My eyes fluttered open lazily, taking in the light that filtered through the curtains. The sheets that brushed my skin did not feel like the ones I had back at the Anderson family mansion, and the ceiling definitely did not look like the one in my room either.
I jerked up, my eyes slowly widening as I recollected the events that had occurred last night. The bar, the drink, the hideous looking man, Rael, and then…
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
My head throbbed painfully, making me wince, and I could only grit my teeth hard. This could only be Rael's mansion, I thought, picking myself up to the bathroom to freshen up.
After freshening up, I changed into a shirt I'd found in his wardrobe, feeling it come down just below my thighs. Tying my hair into a messy bun, I'd picked up my purse from the nightstand, scanning through to see if he'd done anything with it. I couldn't risk that man soiling my plans. I was close. So close to shattering Kylie's heart into tiny little pieces, and I couldn't wait to see the look on her face.
My feet stabbed the floor, heading downstairs, and my eyes caught sight of the man sitting on the dining table. His aura had a coldness to it, making people want to back off. Yet, he was what I wanted. The forbidden fruit that no one dared to own.
Snap out of it!
I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts before sliding downstairs to the table. Walking over to Rael, I picked up the piece of toast from his plate, taking a bite to catch his attention.
“Not bad,” I muttered, the taste bursting in my mouth. It was mouth watering, delicious. Just like a certain someone ignoring me. My eyes moved to rest on him, and how could I miss the cold look in his eyes.
“What? It's not like we haven't shared saliva before,” I said, winking as I went to pull out a chair for myself.
He stopped me, pulling me down to sit on his lap. I gasped. How had this man turned so brazen, openly being like this in the morning? My eyes scanned the room for any maids before sighing deeply.
“You don't recall last night, do you?” He asked, his lips curling up into a smirk that made my scalp tingle. What was he talking about?
“I…you said you couldn't get enough of me,” he muttered, his face inches away from mine. I felt his hot breath on my face as his lips inched closer to mine. I blocked him before he kissed me, slipping out of his embrace as my heart thudded in my chest. God, he was so breathtaking! So sinful. Why did it feel as though I suddenly wanted him? Not for an act this time. I wanted to own him. I could feel a headache coming on, making me wince as I went to sit.
He didn't say anything more and dug into his half-eaten toast, making my face flush. He'd actually eaten it! What a pervert!
“I'll have the chauffeur drop you off,” he finally said, making my eyes widen. Have his chauffeur drop me off at the Anderson family mansion? What would they think then?
What would I be doing at his place on a Friday night that had me sleep off at his place?
I should have been hesitant, yet, a sly smile had married my lips in the next second.
“Okay,” I'd agreed without thinking twice. Soon, the cling and clang of utensils reverberated in the room as we ate.
Suddenly, the memories of the pictures he had sent me flashed in my head, making me pause. I raised my head, wanting to ask what he meant by them, but refrained. What if he'd been waiting for me to ask?
“You leave me perplexed, miss Anderson,” his voice rang out, making me raise my eyes to stare at him, a hint of confusion marrying my face.
The way he licked the corners of his lips had left a sudden wetness in my nether regions, yet I'd snapped myself out of it.
“You are supposed to be your sister's keeper, yet here you are in her fiance's home. Not even scared about getting caught in his shirt,” he commented, picking up his glass of red wine and taking a sip as his eyes scanned my body. My eyes darkened, my fist clenching on my fork. Why exactly I wanted to settle the scores with Kylie had nothing to do with him.
“It's none of your business,” I stated, stabbing the meat in my plate before cutting out a piece and taking it to my mouth. I saw him stare at me, making my lips curl up.
“In fact, I must commend how much of a loyal fiance you are,” I added, rolling my eyes sarcastically. He didn't get mad, he didn't say anything. He just smirked. What was that supposed to mean?
“You don't want to know why I have your naked pictures?” He suddenly asked, catching my attention. My hands trembled a bit before I steadied them, lifting my gaze to him.
Rael picked himself off his chair, walking towards me. Coming to stand behind me, he crouched down, his lips grazing my ear a bit, making me shiver.
“I plan on using it to reveal Miss Anderson’s true colors,” he whispered, making the hairs on my skin rise. What did he mean?
My thoughts were cut off when his hands slipped into the shirt I'd been wearing, settling between my thighs.
“Your father would be surprised to know how much of a slut his daughter is, wouldn't he? What would happen to the company's reputation? Tsk-its too tragic,” He whispered once more, making my eyes widen in shock. He was threatening me!
Damnit! What a jerk!
“But, I can prevent that from happening,” He trailed, walking back to take a seat, a sinful smirk playing on his lips.
“What do you want? You want me to forget about my plans? Delete the audio? Save your little fiance's heart?” I asked, not hearing the obvious tremble in my voice. I'd never have
expected this to happen.
He smiled.
“Oh no, I you don't have a choice. You belong to me now,”
My breath hitched.
