Chapter 124 Untitled Chapter
Chapter 124 Untitled Chapter
ANDREA
Tears well up fast in my eyes, I struggle in my bindings, trying to get to them, Valentina giggles, clapping her hands with delight. She leans in bending to my height in my seated position.
She sighed dramatically loudly. “Finally noticed them, did you?” Valentina whispered in my ear. I ignored the bitch as tears blurred my eyes.
“The young ones were quite noisy, crying non stop,” she said, her voice filled with disgust.
“After the few days we spent together, I've got to admit being a mother is not an easy thing. It was fortunate that I got the idea to give them sedatives…” My head snapped up, as fear nearly choked me.
“You did what?!” I snapped, voice gone cold as Antarctica. She waved her manicured hands.
“I fed them sedatives, a single dose, and they were out faster than I could say sleep. They've been peacefully sleeping ever since.” She shrugged, looking proud of herself.
“They're only six months old, you crazy bitch!” I yelled with pure rage. “You better hope nothing happens to my children or I swear to God I'm going to fucking kill you Valentina!!”
My head whipped to the side as she slapped me hard, my cheek throbs, but it was nothing compared to the pain and fear crawling inside me.
She grabbed my hair hard and yanked it backward. “How dare you threaten me, you whore,” she snarled, “Who are you to tell me what to do with my and Alessandro's kids?”
I nodded, forcing down my rage. “You’re right, Valentina. I was wrong, please, I'll do whatever you want,” I started calmly, swallowing down the panic inside me.
“Just let me take a look at them, please, just once, please,” I pleaded, my control snapping as I began to cry.
Valentina let my head go and straighten. She strode towards the door as I cried even louder, struggling to free myself hysterically. She opened the door, and three armed men walked into the room.
Terror struck me as they started towards me. My struggle increases but nothing I do helps me escape my bindings. One of the men takes out a wicked dagger and raises it towards me.
My eyes fluttered closed as I saw my death flash before my eyes. But instead of stabbing me, the blade cuts through my bindings, freeing me.
I quickly stood up on legs that felt as though they were made of paper. I didn't think of anything about whether they were going to stab me in the back or shoot me.
I just ran to where my babies are. I knelt beside the cribs, taking one twin out and then the other. I hugged them to my chest as I sobbed, my shoulders shaking.
I could have sworn I heard them squirm against me but I couldn't be sure, which reminded me of what Valentina said. I pulled back, putting them on the couch, I checked them over, listening to their heartbeats, their breathing.
A soft coo slipped from Adamo, while Alessia gurgled something in her sleep, her thumb in her mouth. Relief so great punched me in the gut, and I laughed, forgetting for a split second where I was.
I picked them up again, hugging them. As tears slip down my cheeks.
“Take them,” that order, given in that malicious voice, cut through the first peaceful minute I'd had in forever since my babies were kidnapped.
“No, no,” I screamed, my hands tightening around Alessia and Adamo hard enough to wake them, as the three men started towards me.
“I was generous enough to give you this chance to say goodbye, because after tonight, I know you'll never see them again, don't make me regret it.”
One of the men held me back roughly while the other two ripped my crying babies from me and then held me while I screamed, cried, and begged Christina to give me back my babies.
A crying Adamo was dropped into Valentina’s waiting arms, my breath stuttered in my chest as she held him awkwardly, but then she righted him, holding him tight to her chest
“Valentina…” I grasped, voice hoarse. “Why are you doing this?”
She ignored me, smiling down at my son gently, rocking him back and forth.
“Shhh,” she crooned. “Mommy’s right here. Mommy’s not going to let the bad lady take you again.”
My entire body went cold. “What are you doing?” I whispered hoarsely. “Don't say that to them, they're not your kids, they're my children l.”
Valentina’s eyes lifted slowly; they were absolutely unhinged.
“They were never yours,” she said softly. “They're mine and Alessandro, you stole my children and my husband, now I'm just getting back what's mine.”
“I never stole anything from you, neither Alessandro and especially not my children who carried my DNA.”
It was as though I didn't say anything. She was still rocking Adamo gently, part of me was relieved that he and Alessia had at least miraculously stopped crying, but the bigger part was more terrified of the obviously deranged woman.
“Alessandro and I were supposed to be together,” she said dreamily. “We were supposed to be married. Raise our children and live happily together, it's why I waited for him for years.”
Her lips trembled with sadness and rage.“But he didn't come back, and I ended up losing the baby. But then I heard he was back and was so happy, and that's when you decided to come out of nowhere and take everything from me! You stole my life and dreams.”
Movements caught my attention, my eyes flicked to Meredith, and she placed a trembling finger over her lip.
