Chapter 150 Jasmine Flirts with Steven
Looking at Tanner again, he was chatting with Nora with a big smile on his face, looking like a complete pushover!
Compared to Steven, Tanner was completely worthless. Even the clothes he wore looked cheap and tacky!
Jasmine really regretted choosing such a man. She'd been so young and foolish, thinking love was enough, which ruined the rest of her life!
After dinner, the family returned to the sofa to chat. Jasmine was in a bad mood and started looking for trouble.
She grabbed Nora's hand and said to Tanner, "Tanner, look at the jewelry Nora's wearing - it was all given by Steven's family as wedding gifts. I don't have any."
She was hinting that the Adams family hadn't bought her any, wanting them to make it up to her.
Wayne and Marcella's smiles became a bit awkward.
Tanner was also embarrassed. "Everyone's chatting. Can you not bring this up?"
"Why can't I? Your family really didn't buy me any. You do owe me these things." Jasmine was aggressive.
She'd been making a fuss about this at home lately, wanting Marcella to make it up to her.

The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
Nora thought Jasmine was going too far and glanced at Olivia.
Olivia shook her head and said quietly, "She's really being difficult. She knows she's a guest here, but she's deliberately making everyone uncomfortable."
Nora was a bit unhappy.
She could tell Jasmine was doing this on purpose. She was used to bullying the Adams family members - whenever things didn't go her way, she'd mock people.
"Nora, go wash some fruit." Olivia sent Nora away.
Otherwise, Jasmine would keep focusing on her jewelry.
"Okay." Nora went to wash the fruit.

Steven walked in. "What's wrong?"
Wayne immediately put on a smiling face. "Nothing, just talking to Nora about something."
After saying that, Wayne left the kitchen.
Facing the sink, Nora didn't understand why Wayne always took other people's side.
It was clearly Jasmine who saw her jewelry and wanted it, but he made it sound like she deliberately went to show off in front of Jasmine.
Thinking about the diapers and formula she bought for Jasmine last time, Nora really felt it was a waste!
"What did your dad just say to you?" Steven brought over some cherries to help, staring at her.
Nora pressed her lips together. "He said I deliberately went to show off my wedding jewelry in front of my sister-in-law Jasmine, and that's why Jasmine is making a fuss now. He said I made things difficult for them."
Steven glanced outside.
Nora grabbed him. "Don't you dare spend money to buy them anything, or they'll come to you for help with everything from now on. You believe me?"
Nora was afraid Steven would be too generous.
Steven said coolly, "Do I look like that kind of stupid person to you?"
Nora looked at him and was somehow amused by him. She lowered her eyes and said, "Anyway, just let them make a fuss. Don't worry about them."
They were still her family. When they came, she'd host them. When they didn't come, she wouldn't go either.
Just be distant relatives - it would be better for everyone.
"Okay." Steven agreed, then looked at her again. "You stand aside. I'll wash the fruit."
Before Nora could react, Steven had already pulled her away, rolled up his shirt sleeves, and was washing the cherries slowly and carefully.
Men doing housework could be very attractive too.
Nora stood beside him, watching him wash the cherries. Her mood gradually calmed down. "Men doing housework are pretty handsome."
Steven smiled and glanced at her. "Charmed by me?"
"You really are handsome." Nora was being honest.
After washing the cherries, Nora cut some oranges and said to him, "If you're busy, go to the study. I can handle hosting them myself."
Steven didn't really like entertaining the Adams family members - there was nothing to talk about - but he was afraid Nora would be bullied if he wasn't there.
Nora knew what he was worried about. She squeezed his hand. "It's fine. I'm not the type who won't fight back when hit or talk back when scolded. If they go too far, I'll definitely argue with them."
"Alright then. If anything happens, just call me." Steven did have some work matters to handle.
"Go ahead." He'd already helped her wash the fruit, which was very thoughtful.
Steven dried his hands and went out.
"Time for fruit!" Nora brought out the cut fruit platter for everyone. The fruit was cut into colorful pieces and looked really pretty.
Tanner quietly asked her, "Dad didn't say anything bad to you just now, did he?"
"Nothing much," Nora replied. Tanner was relatively sensible.
Tanner said, "If he says anything harsh, just ignore him. He's been like that his whole life, likes to talk nonsense."
"I'm used to it." It wasn't Nora's first day knowing Wayne. He'd scolded her plenty when she was little. She was used to it.
Steven walked to the study. Passing by Nora's room, he saw Jasmine inside looking in the mirror.
Something on her fingers was flashing in the sunlight - he didn't know what it was.
Steven didn't think much of it and went into the study.
A while later, Jasmine sneaked out and saw the cherries on the dining table.
"Cherries!" Jasmine exclaimed, picking one and popping it in her mouth. "I haven't bought cherries all year. You're so lucky, Nora - married well, enjoying life every day."
Sarcastic words just rolled off her tongue.
"If you're eating, just eat. Why so much talk?" Tanner glared at her.
Jasmine looked embarrassed and ate the cherries one after another. After eating half the bowl, she asked Nora on the sofa, "Where's your husband? Isn't he coming out to eat fruit?"
"He went to the study. He has some work to handle." Nora told her family.
Tanner said, "Seems like Steven is pretty busy."
Nora smiled. "Yeah, he's usually pretty busy."
The Adams family members ate fruit and started talking about Olivia's situation.
Discussing whether she should continue her marriage.
If not, how much property should she fight for?
Wayne was the most enthusiastic one. He strategized, "Olivia, if you're getting divorced, you should get half the company. If he won't give it, make him pay cash - at least two million dollars!"
Olivia said calmly, "I'll talk about it after I finish estimating the company's value."
It was definitely worth more than two million dollars.
Besides, she wouldn't listen too much to Wayne's advice. His thinking was outdated. She just let him talk to make him happy.
Nora sat on the side listening to her family discuss, then realized - Jasmine was gone!
Jasmine took some cherries and walked to the study, swaying her hips. "Steven..."
She pushed open the door.
Steven was handling documents at his desk. Seeing her push the door open, his eyes turned slightly cold. "What are you doing here?"
"We're eating cherries. I brought some for you." She walked in.
Steven said coldly, "No need. I'm not eating."
Even though he said he wasn't eating, Jasmine still walked over, stopping in front of the desk, putting on a shy and delicate act. "Actually, I wanted to tell you something."
Steven looked at her with cold eyes.
The way Jasmine was acting was so fake and disgusting!
Jasmine said in a sweet voice, "You need to be careful of the Adams family. My father-in-law is always discussing at home how many gifts you should give him..."
Steven didn't say anything.
He saw through Jasmine's intentions in a second, raising his eyebrows casually.
Jasmine continued, "Actually, you shouldn't have married Nora. This family is all leeches. Now that you've married Nora, they'll come bother you with all sorts of things in the future. Being stuck with this family, you'll have so many problems. My suggestion is..."

"If you like loose and slutty behavior, go be a prostitute." Steven pulled out a disinfectant wipe and rubbed it over and over on his fingers, his disgust obvious.
Jasmine fell to the ground, her face full of disbelief. "I'm your sister-in-law!"
Jasmine thought she looked pretty good and assumed that if she made the first move, Steven would take the bait.
She thought he might be tempted by the forbidden nature of it all!
But she didn't expect Steven to be so disgusted by her.
Steven sat in his chair, looking down at her. "If it weren't for the fact that you're Nora's sister-in-law, do you think I'd let you step into our home? If you dare have any more ideas about me, I'll make you regret your behavior."
This Jasmine was clearly restless. She probably had been wanting to seduce a rich man and dump Tanner for a while now. Marrying a woman like this would definitely be unfortunate.
Jasmine cried in grief. "This was my first time. Why are you saying this about me? I would never do this with anyone else..."
If he weren't so handsome and well-off, why would she make the first move?
