Chapter 66 Want to Play with Men
Nora frowned and suddenly didn't want to deal with him.
She'd been robbed, feeling worried and scared, and Steven didn't show an ounce of concern—he just came at her with a barrage of criticism.
Who wants to hear a lecture at a time like this?
She pushed Steven away, picked up her phone from the ground, and called the police. "Hello, my bag was stolen, at... Okay, please let me know as soon as you have any news."
The bag had four or five bank cards, documents for her company registration, and the acupuncture kit her grandfather gave her. Losing it would be a huge hassle!
Nora stood there, still not recovered from the shock.
Steven stared at her coldly from behind, as if trying to bore a hole through her back with his eyes.
Nora had nothing to say to him. With that expression of his—that harsh, blaming look—she couldn't say anything anyway.
It was already ten o'clock. The two of them stood on the roadside in a standoff.
Steven's patience ran out. He said coldly, "How long are you planning to stand here?"
Nora snapped out of it and turned to leave.
She needed to go home, but she didn't want to talk to him.
She walked toward the subway station with her head down.
Steven didn't understand what she was upset about. He'd just saved her, and this was how she treated him?
He strode over and grabbed her hand. "Where are you going?"
"None of your business!" Her tone was cold.
Lately, he'd been either yelling at her or wearing that cold expression. This morning, when she covered him with a blanket, he told her to get lost. Tonight, when she asked if he wanted dinner, he ignored her. Everyone has a temper!
Did he think he was the only person who mattered?
Always losing his temper at people!
"Do you know what time it is?" Steven asked coldly, holding back his anger.
Nora ignored him and walked toward the subway station.
Steven followed her with a dark expression.
Hearing footsteps behind her, Nora walked even faster.
The subway station was just ahead. She walked in and looked around.
She'd been holding it all evening.
She wanted to find a women's restroom.
The sign for the women's restroom in the subway station was on the second floor, so Nora didn't enter the station proper and took the escalator up.
Seeing her go up the escalator for no apparent reason, Steven radiated a gloomy anger.
What was she trying to do?
He turned and followed her.
Not wanting him to follow, Nora ran up a few steps to the second floor.
There was a row of offices up there, all closed for the day, with only a few dim ceiling lights on.
Nora felt it was kind of creepy.
She walked toward the restroom sign.
Steven's face darkened.
He strode into the dim corridor and grabbed her hand, pushing her against the floor-to-ceiling glass in the hallway.
"What exactly are you making a fuss about?" Steven looked down at her with a gloomy expression.
"It's none of your business. Go away." She urgently needed to find the restroom.
Steven laughed coldly, placing one hand on her waist.
All the offices on the second floor were closed. The corridor was half-lit and half-dark with weak lighting. Only the two of them were there.
"You went out at night to meet a man, and I haven't even settled that score with you yet, and now you're mad at me?" Steven glared at her.
Hearing this, Nora got even angrier.
She'd been robbed and was already in a bad mood, and now Steven was making up accusations.
She laughed coldly and deliberately provoked him. "So you can fool around with other women, but I can't fool around with other men?"
At those words, Steven's eyes blazed with fury. "What do you mean? You went out to fool around with a man tonight?"
So it wasn't a trap set by Andrew?
Was she willing?
Was this one of those cases where the skilled hunter appears in the form of prey?
Trying to seduce Andrew, was she?
"What's it to you?" Nora was angry and deliberately said things to provoke him, not wanting him to feel comfortable.
Steven's expression turned completely dark. He stared at Nora's face with hatred, grabbed her chin, and kissed her.
Suddenly being kissed, Nora instinctively raised her hands to hit him. "...Steven, let me go..."
"You want to fool around with men? I'll show you." Steven's cold hand reached behind her, going for her zipper.
Nora's face changed. She wanted to curse at him, but accidentally let out a sound: "Ah!"
She froze, biting her lip tightly.
How did she make that sound?
How embarrassing!
Hearing this, Steven's expression changed, and the force he used to restrain her unconsciously lightened. "Keep it down, or you'll attract the security guard."
Nora was dazed, then he bit her ear.
He even sucked on it.
Nora's whole body trembled, her voice like a cat's meow. "Steven, what are you doing? This is a hallway, there are cameras!"
"That's a good point." Steven released her, breathing slightly heavily. "How can it be as comfortable outside as at home? This matter should be handled at home."
With that, Steven pulled her back with some force.
Nora didn't want to go. She'd just gotten to the restroom!
She pushed him. "I'm not going back! I need to use the bathroom!"
Her bladder was about to burst!
Steven ignored her and pulled her toward the stairs.
Nora was going crazy, randomly hitting him. "I'm serious, I really need to use the bathroom, I can't hold it anymore!"
She refused to budge.
Steven glanced at her and saw her face looked strained—it must be true—so he let her go. "You really need to use the bathroom?"
"Why would I lie?"
Nora was furious and hurried into the women's restroom.
She went into a stall, used the toilet, and finally breathed a sigh of relief. Then she realized her period had started!
Damn!
And Steven was still outside!
Nora's mood suddenly turned irritable. She called Steven.
Steven stood outside waiting for her. Looking at his phone, he was a bit confused—why was she calling him from inside the restroom?
He answered. "What's wrong?"
"Steven, I got my period... Can you help me buy some pads?" Nora remembered seeing a vending machine for sanitary pads in the hallway when she came up.
"Pads?" Steven thought for a moment and understood.
Nora had gotten her period.
Steven's face showed some inexplicable frustration. He'd been planning to tonight...
"Where do I buy them?" he asked.
Nora said, "There's a vending machine in the hallway. See if you can buy some. If not, just let me know."
If he couldn't buy them, then forget it. She'd just go home like this. It would take a while on the subway, though, so she wouldn't be able to sit in the seats.
"I'll go check." Steven walked over with his phone. Sure enough, there was a sanitary pad vending machine not far away.
He scanned the code to pay, and a pack of pads dropped down.
Steven looked around, worried that people might think he was some pervert buying sanitary pads in the middle of the night. His expression was very uncomfortable.
