Chapter 192 Ambiguity After Getting Drunk

Chapter 192 Ambiguity After Getting Drunk

Olivia suddenly laughed.

She had never expected Willie to say something like that about her.

Olivia got unsteadily to her feet, brushed the hair from her face, and slapped Hazel hard across the face. "This lesson isn't for me—it's the man beside you. He's already divorced, yet he keeps sending me flirtatious messages every day, begging me not to leave him, saying he only realized after the divorce that I'm his true love. Willie, are you obsessed with infidelity? Can't you just stay with one woman? Do you need to play these cheating games to feel excited?"

Right in front of Hazel, Olivia exposed Willie completely.

"Olivia! How could you say these things?" Willie's face twisted.

Olivia smiled. "What? You can harass me, but I can't talk about it? If you dare send them to me, I dare speak up. If you don't want me saying these things, then stop pestering me."

Hazel's expression twisted. Unable to handle the shock, she screamed in rage, "You're talking nonsense!"

She rushed over to hit Olivia.

A strong arm shoved her to the floor, followed by slow, deliberate applause.

Alton stood beside Olivia, clapping. "Mr. Reed, you really know how to play. I can't help but applaud you."

Olivia's spine stiffened.

Had he heard everything?

She instinctively glanced at Alton. He was looking at her, too—handsome features with a rugged edge—but somehow Olivia felt he was angry.

His gaze turned icy, fixed firmly on Olivia's face.

Olivia looked away, confused.

Seeing Alton appear, Willie immediately flew into a rage. "Olivia, what exactly is your relationship with him?"

This had happened several times now.

Willie didn't believe there was anything between Olivia and him.

Just as Olivia was about to speak, Alton wrapped his arm around her narrow waist and said suggestively, "Olivia is my woman."

Olivia froze, but Alton's arm tightened, probably trying to help her out.

Right—if she became another man's woman, Willie should stop pestering her.

Thinking this, she glanced at Willie, whose face had indeed darkened.

Olivia suddenly felt quite pleased and naturally leaned into Alton's broad embrace, looking up at him with a teasing smile. "What took you so long? I'm starving."

Those eyes of hers were full of charm.

Alton's gaze heated. He pulled her waist tighter, his voice low and rough. "I'll feed you soon."

That sentence was entirely suggestive.

Olivia couldn't help but blush.

Especially when his warm palm pressed through the fabric at her waist.

Olivia felt uncomfortable from the heat but maintained her charming smile. "Hazel, see? I've found a better boyfriend now. Do you think I'd still care about that disgusting Willie? You'd better keep a closer eye on him and stop him from pestering me, so it doesn't affect my relationship with my boyfriend."

"I knew it! No wonder you agreed to the divorce so readily—turns out you've latched onto a better man. Those tricks you used to get money from me, this man taught you those, too, didn't he?" Willie glared at them hatefully.

Olivia smiled. "Think whatever you want. Baby, let's go."

She looked at Alton.

His eyes darkened as he led her away with his arm around her waist.

After walking some distance, Olivia's smile faded. "Mr. Bridges, thank you for earlier. I'll be going now."

Alton withdrew his hand without trying to keep her.

As Olivia left, she kept feeling Alton's eyes on her back. Her back felt hot, so she quickened her pace.

She went to the restroom to fix her appearance, then found Room 208 following the address Dina's secretary had given her.

Pushing the door open, she saw Alton again.

He was sitting with several industry bigwigs discussing business, poised and composed.

Everyone was flattering Alton in unison, including Dina, the supplier Olivia was looking for.

So the important guest Dina was entertaining was Alton?

Thinking of her purpose for coming to Regal City, Olivia felt she was running out of time. Tonight was her last chance.

She put on a smile and walked in with her business card. "Ms. Morris, I heard you were dining here, so I came to say hello."

"What are you doing here?" Dina looked displeased. She had already rejected her that afternoon—why was she here again?

She had been having some business troubles lately, running around asking people for help herself. She was in a bad mood, yet Olivia dared to annoy her.

"Ms. Morris, I came to discuss cooperation between my company and yours." Olivia sat down uninvited.

Dina smiled slyly and casually pushed a glass of liquor in front of her. "You can talk business with me, but you know the rules."

Dina was in a bad mood and decided to make an example of Olivia.

Olivia glanced at the drink, then at Dina. "If I drink this, will you be willing to hear me out?"

"You haven't drunk it yet." Dina looked at her with a smile.

Olivia looked at the drink. Her stomach ached faintly, but she couldn't lose this supplier because these goods were very important to her.

Olivia pressed her lips together, picked up the glass, and drank it down.

Alton frowned almost imperceptibly.

After finishing, Olivia wiped her mouth and smiled. "Ms. Morris, will you listen to me now?"

Dina smiled. "I never promised that I'd definitely talk to you after you finished drinking."

Olivia's expression changed slightly.

Dina said to her secretary, "Show Ms. Reed out."

The secretary came over to escort Olivia.

Alton's gaze shifted over. Just as he was about to speak up for her, Olivia raised her hand to stop the secretary.

"Dina." Olivia suddenly called her name.

Dina turned back with a cold face.

"I'm no longer Mrs. Reed. You can call me Olivia." Olivia took her empty glass and pulled over the bottle, slowly filling it. "I was presumptuous to barge in today and disturb you. I apologize."

With that, she drank the second glass, her face tightening.

Her stomach was starting to hurt.

Dina couldn't help frowning. As a woman herself, she didn't really want to make things difficult for Olivia—she just wanted her to leave.

But Olivia poured a third glass. "If I weren't desperate, I wouldn't have rushed to Regal City to find you, but our company really needs your company's help. I didn't expect to mess this up. I'm sorry."

With that, she drank the third glass.

Alton was about to stop her, but Dina was quicker.

"Forget it, I understand your difficulties. Give your order to my secretary." Dina was also a divorced woman. Just now, she'd seen her younger self in Olivia—having no one to rely on, so having to hold things up herself.

Dina was moved by her.

Olivia's expression brightened. "Thank you, Ms. Morris!"

She handed her order to Dina's secretary. "I won't disturb you all any further."

Her stomach felt terrible now. As soon as she left the private room, she threw up in the restroom.

She vomited up all her dinner, her throat bitter, but Olivia felt quite happy—she'd finally accomplished the first thing.

She staggered out of the restroom and saw Alton's tall figure at the door.

Alton had been waiting for her. Seeing her pale from vomiting, his deep eyes fixed on her. "Was it worth it?"

Drinking until she threw up for a medium-sized order.

Olivia's head was a bit fuzzy. She steadied herself against his chest. "Worth it!"

Alton felt sorry for her. Seeing her stagger, he scooped her up. "I'll take you to the hospital."

Her stomach really did hurt. She clutched it, her face drained of color.

Alton drove her to the hospital himself. Having just watched her fight so hard for that order, he felt a bit sad, but at the same time, he thought she was very strong—a woman facing that kind of situation, yet able to stay calm under pressure.

Olivia was in good spirits, though, looking at the ceiling. "How much did this car cost?"

"A few million dollars." Alton glanced at her. "Why?"

"It's comfortable to sit in. When I make a lot of money someday, I'll buy a car like yours too. Very cool."

Alton laughed. While waiting at a red light, he glanced at her beautiful profile.

Olivia was curled up in the passenger seat, drunk and dizzy, her long legs showing beneath her skirt.

His gaze heated. "Getting this car is simple—sleep with me once, and I'll give it to you."

Olivia lifted her intoxicated eyes to look at him.

Then a slap came.

Alton wasn't prepared and got slapped across his face. He froze.

Olivia glared at him angrily, pointing at him. "You jerk!"

"Don't think I'm easy to bully just because I'm divorced. I'm 26 years old, not an idiot, and not some woman obsessed with love. Don't think you can trick me into bed by doing me a few favors. I'm telling you, impossible!" She stared at Alton with hazy eyes.

Alton laughed in exasperation.

She reached over and pinched his face. "Sure, you're good-looking, but that doesn't hide the fact that you're a jerk. You just think that because I'm divorced, sleeping with me doesn't require responsibility, right? Let me tell you, divorced women are more clear-headed than unmarried ones. Otherwise, I wouldn't have chosen divorce in the first place. So my divorce wasn't because no one wants me or because I'm desperate for love—it's because I absolutely refuse to settle!"

Alton thought she made a good point, his eyes deepening. "I never thought you were desperate for love."

"Then stop harassing me!" Olivia's tone was distant. "I hate playboys like you who flirt with everyone the most. If you dare pester me again, I'll..."

"You'll what?" He looked at her casually.

"I'll bite you hard!" With that, she lunged at him and bit down on his neck.

Alton's whole body stiffened. It didn't hurt—he just felt a rush of heat flooding him.

He gripped her waist and pulled her onto his lap, his hot breath falling on her neck. "You know I'm interested in you, yet you're throwing yourself at me. Playing hard to get?"

Olivia was drunk and confused, having no idea what she was doing, being pressed against him, and kissing him messily.

He was very good at kissing. Olivia couldn't handle his advances, dizzy and disoriented, her gaze blurred.

Just then, impatient honking sounded from behind.

Olivia jolted back to her senses. She was sitting on Alton's lap, and Alton was kissing her collarbone, her collar open.

And their car was stopped at an intersection.

The cars behind honked impatiently.

Olivia's gaze sharpened, and she was extremely embarrassed. She moved back to the passenger seat, biting her lip, her face stiff.

Alton remained composed, catching his breath before driving forward.

After going some distance, the desire in Alton's eyes faded. He glanced at her—her collar was still unbuttoned, her skin marked from his kisses.

Alton's eyes deepened. "Sobered up?"

Olivia bit her lip awkwardly. "I drank too much. Sorry about earlier."

Biting his neck out of nowhere—how embarrassing.

"It's fine. I quite liked it anyway." Alton smiled and stopped the car at the hospital entrance. "We're at the hospital. Also, your shirt's still unbuttoned."

Olivia's face flushed completely. She quickly looked down to button her shirt.

Alton watched her quietly.

He'd rarely seen her so flustered.

After fixing her clothes, Olivia recovered her previous coldness. "Thank you for bringing me here. I can go in by myself."

Alton nodded, took out a business card from his wallet, and pressed it into her hand. "I hope you'll contact me after you return to South City."

Olivia's face drained of color. What did he take her for?

Right in front of him, she threw the business card in the trash and left without looking back.

Alton watched her graceful, sexy figure and couldn't help touching his own lips. He smiled.
