Chapter 124 Steven Arrives The Fisherman's Catch
He changed his clothes and set off to find Chris.
James was driving when he received a call from the bodyguard who was following Nora.
James turned to Steven and said, "Mr. Steven York, Mrs. York went to The Fisherman's Catch, and she is indeed with Mr. Andrew York."
Just as he thought!
He knew it!
Steven's face turned dark.
James continued, "They just caught some chickens and picked some peaches."
"Shut up." Steven didn't want to hear anymore. Whatever she wanted to do.
James stopped talking and kept driving.
They were almost at the tennis court.
Steven's face was gloomy when he suddenly said, "Go to The Fisherman's Catch."
"But we're almost at the tennis court, Mr. York. You have an appointment with Mr. Green..."
Through the rearview mirror, James saw Steven's angry eyes. He didn't dare continue and turned the car around, heading toward The Fisherman's Catch in the suburbs...
The Fisherman's Catch.
Nora and Andrew were carrying peaches to go fishing.
"Ah!" Andrew suddenly screamed and jumped onto Nora.
Nora was suddenly grabbed by him, and everything in her hands fell to the ground. She could barely breathe.
He was so tall and heavy - who could handle him suddenly jumping on them like that?
"What's wrong?" Nora's face turned pale from being squeezed.
"Snake!" Andrew pointed to the grass ditch on the right. Less than three feet away from them, a snake was lying in the grass.
Andrew was most afraid of snakes.
Nora rolled her eyes to look. There was indeed a bright green snake there, flicking its tongue at them.
Nora comforted him, "It's okay, Mr. Hayes. This snake isn't poisonous. Many people even catch them to keep as pets."
Andrew fell silent.
Keep this thing as a pet?
How disgusting!
"You're afraid of snakes?" Nora asked with a smile. She didn't expect that, despite his tall and strong appearance, he was afraid of snakes.
Andrew said coldly, "Who isn't afraid of these things?"
"True." Most people are afraid of snakes. "But you can let go of me now."
Nora pulled his hands off her shoulders and picked up the things on the ground. "The pond is just ahead."
This scene was captured by the bodyguard following Nora.
The bodyguard sent the photo to Steven's phone.
He was sitting in the car on the way to The Fisherman's Catch, looking at the photo, his face cold to the extreme.
So it really was a date - they were even hugging!
Steven made a call, coldly instructing the bodyguard, "Print out the photos."
"Yes!" the bodyguard replied.
He was here to catch them in the act today. Let's see what Nora would have to say then!
By the lush green riverside.
Andrew and Nora each had a fishing rod, leisurely fishing.
Nora really liked the feeling of sitting by the river - it was peaceful and calm.
She checked the time - it was 3 PM. She took out the snacks she had prepared.
Two thermoses and two boxes of sushi.
"Mr. Hayes, you must be hungry, right? Here, have something to eat. I made it myself, it's very clean." Nora handed the items over.
Andrew laughed when he saw the thermos. "Don't tell me it's water? Ms. Adams, you even bring your own water?"
This was a bit old-fashioned and funny.
"It's lemonade." She made it especially this morning and put ice cubes in the thermos. Thermoses can keep things hot or cold - the ice cubes inside wouldn't melt for hours.
Andrew took it. He was a bit thirsty.
He took a sip, then looked slightly surprised. "Why is it cold?"
"It's lemonade." Nora took a sip. "I made it myself. It might not taste as good as store-bought, but it's healthier. The lemons are fresh - I just bought them this morning."
"You can make lemonade?"
"Yes, I just learned from tutorials." Nora had done many part-time jobs - making sushi, baking bread, making coffee - she knew a bit about all of these.
"That's pretty impressive." He said, glancing at the box.
Inside were 6 small pieces of sushi.
Andrew asked, "Did you make these yourself, too?"
"Yes." Nora handed him a disposable glove. "Put on the glove so you won't get your hands dirty."
Andrew didn't say anything. He was hungry.
He took the glove, put it on, picked up a piece of sushi, and put it in his mouth. The sushi she made was just the right size - one bite per piece.
Andrew chewed, paused, and his eyes lit up.
This good?
"You really made this yourself?" Andrew was a bit skeptical. Nora's cooking was this good?
"Yes, salmon sushi." Salmon was so expensive. She originally only wanted to make vegetable sushi, but considering future business, she made a last-minute investment to buy it, along with some fresh fruit. It cost her over a hundred dollars.
"Are you good at cooking?" Andrew asked, looking at her profile.
Nora smiled. "Not bad."
"Pretty delicious." Andrew was won over by her cooking skills. Without another word, he quietly ate, not leaving a single piece.
Fishing was a long process, good for chatting.
Nora took out a helmet from the big bag. "Mr. Hayes, this... see if you like it."
Andrew's gaze turned over.
Surprised.
She actually bought this helmet?
Andrew took it. Before opening it, he still didn't quite believe it.
After opening it, he laughed.
This was a knockoff!
He thought she was really going to give him an authentic helmet!
Turned out she didn't know anything about it and bought him a fake. He laughed so hard his shoulders were shaking.
Nora was confused. "Mr. Hayes, what are you laughing at?"
This happy about receiving a helmet?
Andrew laughed out loud. "Nothing, I just think this is pretty funny."
They were thinking completely different things.
But meeting Nora today, Andrew found her quite interesting. If they became friends, it definitely wouldn't be boring.
The bodyguard hid behind a tree, took many photos, printed them out, and sent them to Steven in the lounge.
Steven's tall figure sat in the shadows, his aura heavy.
Looking at the photos in his hand, Steven asked the bodyguard, "What's this?"
Steven pointed at the photo of her holding sushi.
The bodyguard said, "This is sushi and lemonade that Mrs. York made with her own hands."
Made with her own hands?
Steven laughed coldly and crushed the photo in his hand.
Hugging together earlier wasn't enough - now she made sushi, lemonade, and brought gifts!
How could this possibly be Andrew's trap?
It looked more like Nora was trying to please Andrew!
Probably, Andrew pretended to be an assistant to pursue her, and she thought Andrew was handsome, so she took the bait.
Steven ordered with a cold face, "Go get her over here."
If he didn't call Nora over now, would she be going to a hotel with Andrew next?
