Chapter 104 Unexpected Miscarriage
"This isn't even yours. What gives you the right to deal with it?" Nora was pinned to the ground by him, refusing to give in.
Steven was so angry that he grabbed both her hands in his large palms and pressed them down on either side of her head.
Now, the two of them were in an intimate position.
Steven was on top.
Nora was underneath, with both her hands pinned beside her head.
Nora looked at the man with the stern face above her, not knowing what to do. She turned her head away, her chest heaving violently.
A patch of skin on her neck was exposed.
And he was wearing only a white bath towel.
Steven looked down at her, feeling that Nora was guarding against him. Had she gotten back together with her old lover and now resisted him?
Cold intent spilled from Steven's eyes and brows. He grabbed her legs and pressed down hard.
Nora was wearing a skirt today.
With only underwear underneath.
And he had only a bath towel on.
The two of them pressed together like this was really dangerous, and her period wasn't even over yet!
"What are you doing?" While she was thinking, he had already leaned down and bit her neck hard.
Nora was pinned to the ground and kissed by him. She wanted to push him away, but couldn't move him at all.
She was completely trapped!
There were only two people in the house, so calling for help was useless for Nora.
"Steven, let me go!"
Nora dodged left and right, just wouldn't let him kiss her.
Steven suddenly turned her face back, his eyes dark and menacing, "I'm your husband, Nora, do you see that clearly?"
Nora was about to cry again.
She didn't want to cry, but her nose was sore. She said aggrievedly, "You're bullying me like this, and you're my husband?"
What's the difference between this and domestic violence?
Just using brute force to control her!
Steven froze, thinking she meant something else. His eyes were dark and gloomy. "Then who do you want to bully you?"
"Do you want Philip?" He was so angry he reached to tear her clothes, not gentle at all, "I have the right to act as a husband."
"Get away from me!" Nora lifted her foot to kick him.
Steven held down her leg, moved closer, his eyes filled with cold intent, "Why should I get away? You married me, you're my woman."
Nora took a breath, "Not after we divorce!"
Steven's pupils darkened, then a wave of coldness came over him, "Fine! I'll let you see tonight whether you are or not."
He reached to pull down her underwear.
Nora was both scared and panicked, her heart full of unease, struggling hard: "My period isn't over yet, I can't! I don't want to!"
"Steven, did you hear me! I'm really not done yet..." She couldn't get through to him no matter what, and finally could only cry.
Steven withdrew his hand.
He turned to see her pitiful crying face, her skirt all messy, like she'd been violated.
Steven looked at her coldly.
He was very angry at first, but seeing her cry so miserably, he felt he shouldn't have treated her that way just now.
The anger just now came out of nowhere; he couldn't even explain why himself.
Just as he was about to touch her and say a few comforting words, he saw her curl up her body and back away in fear.
Steven froze, his heart sinking a bit.
"Get out!" Nora's back was against the bed board. She looked at him fearfully, afraid he would go crazy again.
Steven's expression was dazed for a second, then he gave a self-mocking laugh and turned to leave.
Seeing him go, Nora quickly locked the door and sat in the room, her expression somewhat lost.
So he really did see her as a gold digger.
Being viewed this way by Steven, Nora couldn't describe how she felt, just very disappointed, very sad.
She worked hard to take care of their little home, saved money for him, was good to him, and he didn't notice any of it.
The moment things didn't go his way, he called her a gold digger...
Nora lay on the bed, her heart left only with coldness and numbness.
She hugged herself, her expression sorrowful.
In a daze, she slept until midnight when she suddenly received a call from Willie.
A call in the middle of the night gave Nora a bad feeling. "Hello."
She answered the phone.
Willie's voice was shaking on the phone, "Nora, come to Mary's Hospital."
Nora's heart inexplicably tightened. "What happened?"
"Olivia's baby... is gone."
Hearing this, Nora's eyes widened, a string in her brain suddenly tightening!
Nora's body trembled uncontrollably. If she hadn't been lying in bed, she would have fallen for sure!
She hurriedly changed clothes and hailed a taxi to the hospital.
On the way, she didn't speak the whole time. She felt like she was soaked in ice water, cold all over.
As soon as the door closed at home, Steven opened his eyes.
Had Nora left?
He walked out of his room and pushed open the guest bedroom door. Sure enough, no one was there.
Was she running away from home?
Or had she gone to find Philip?
Steven's face was cold. After a moment of silence, he returned to his room.
Whatever. Let her go.
Leaving was her own choice, as long as she didn't regret it.
After all, he wanted a divorce from the beginning. Since she didn't cherish it, let's end this relationship.
That's right, with his status, he should choose a better wife, not waste time on this ungrateful woman.
Mary's Hospital.
As soon as the taxi stopped, Nora stumbled and ran inside.
Outside the emergency room, only Willie was there, hands clasped together, pacing back and forth anxiously.
"How is Olivia?"
Nora ran over, her face pale.
Willie's eyes were red, not daring to look at her, "Still in the operating room."
"What happened tonight?"
"She fell at home, heavy bleeding..."
"Why did she fall?" Nora's voice suddenly became shrill.
Willie closed his eyes, "A lot of relatives came over tonight. Everyone wanted to talk to her, and suddenly somehow, Olivia fell. There were too many people; no one saw clearly who pushed her."
Before Willie finished, Nora pushed him, her eyes red, "Bastard! She's pregnant, and you pushed her?"
"It wasn't on purpose!" Willie felt bitter inside. He didn't want anything to happen to the baby either.
"You knew how hard it was for Olivia to carry this baby. You asked her to come back to explain things, and the result was calling a bunch of relatives to bully her together?" Nora pushed Willie until he hit the wall. Were they bullying them because they had no family backing?
"You bastard, did you even consider that she's pregnant? So many people bullying her alone, you're a murderer!" Nora wanted to kill Willie.
Willie didn't resist. At this moment, he also felt very regretful, very remorseful.
Actually, he didn't want to divorce Olivia. He called Olivia back tonight just to try to persuade her again. Who knew something like this would happen!
When Nora hit him, he actually felt a bit better.
"Stop it! The hospital isn't a place for you to fight. Please keep quiet!"
Several nurses came over to pull them apart. "If you keep making trouble, I'll have security escort you out!"
Nora was pulled away by two nurses. She let out a sob and squatted on the ground, crying.
