Chapter 100: Wolf Part 1

Chapter 100: Wolf Part 1
Mirage’s P.O.V

“Mirage!” Alex reached for me with his hands, as far as he could go, but the shackles restrained him.

I was frozen in place, both in pain and fear as Alistair drank from me.

A vampire could make its bite both painful or use a sedative kind of substance from its tongue to numb the area before a bite to make it painless…For me, Alistair had always made it painful.

Even now, my entire body felt numb from the pain as he drew out my life’s blood. I could feel myself getting weaker and weaker as my hands hung numbly by my side, while I felt Alistair’s grip on me getting stronger.

My legs could barely support me anymore by the time he was almost done feeding from me, so when he removed his fangs and let me go, I dropped onto the floor like a stack of potatoes, almost lifeless…unable to move. I felt drops of blood rolling down the side of my neck, from the open wounds that he had left behind…but there wasn’t much blood left in me anyways…

My heart hammered in my chest; trying its best to keep the organs working despite the blood loss. When Alistair’s face came to my vision however, it was like nothing ever happened to him at all.

His face glowed with health and the paleness of his skin was gone. He looked even younger, stronger and when he smiled down at me with sharp white teeth, I could still see a speck of blood on his lips.

“Ah! What a fight!” He clapped his hands, laughing like a maniac. “For a second I thought you and your Fae blood just might be strong enough to overpower me! But then I remembered something. You want to know what?”

“Fae are almost extinct because of this very reason!” He gave a high pitched laughter that grated against my nerves. “You lot keep thinking that you can defeat a vampire just because of your light magic. But you keep forgetting that we’re faster…stronger…and we love to devour Fae blood.”

The kick to my gut came out of nowhere and it knocked the wind out of me. Together with the blood loss, it took me a good amount of time to regain some form of normalcy in my breathing again.

“You bastard!” Alex’s voice was loud and clear. “Let her go!”

“Poor…poor, Mirage.” Alistair tsked. “What should I do with you? It’s obvious that you don’t want to take the easy route.”

“You lied to me!” I managed to rasp out to him. “You told me you’ll give me a cure! I was always the cure the child needed!”

“Of course!” He laughed out loud. “And doubt is a wonderful thing, isn’t it? It kept you for using your magic on the boy. And your love for him stopped you from using your magic as well! What if you harmed him further? What if he got worse? What if he died? What if? What if? What if?”

Alistair shook his head, hunching down on the floor next to me. I flinched as his fingers brushed a strand of hair away from my face. “Your doubt…your love…your weakness. They became my strengths. I knew you would fall for my trap, little girl. And see? You did! And now, here you are…on the floor…helpless and weak. You started off strong, but your confidence in your magic became your downfall. And now…I have to find a suitable punishment for you.”

“Hmmm…What should I do?” He mused. “Maybe I should fuck you in front of your boy-toy and let him watch? And then…maybe I should kill your boy-toy and let you watch? What do you say, Akiko? Am I a genius?”

“Yes, Master.” I heard her voice from somewhere near me, but I was too worn out to find out where she was.

However, dread now settled in the pit of my stomach at Alistair’s words. He lifted up my chin harshly, forcing me to look at him. “Which one should I do first, huh? Tell me! Your blood has me all pumped up, Mirage…maybe I’ll have a taste of you first!”
