Chapter 318: What Is The Plan?

Abigail

“Why am I even asking?” He said to himself.

“I know how much you miss me, I have been watching you and seeing how much you are struggling without me.” I closed my eyes, a sob trying to force its way out of my mouth. I kept it in, the action causing my breathing to stop.

“But we can talk about that later, did you like the present I left you?” His question made my eyes open and find the collar, sitting like a mocking object in my lap.

“I know you did, not because it was something that your precious and little Muffin gave you but because it told you that I am still here, right? You saw it and a tiny part of you whether you like it or not, got happy that I had left that there for you as a sign.”

I cringed, watching as the emotion in my eyes fell onto my lap in tiny droplets. My eyes avoided Capo’s saving myself the embarrassment. It was one thing when he had humiliated me like that in private but the second he said things like that around others, I had realized how unpleasantly degrading it was.

“Where is he?” I asked in the tiniest voice, not wanting to make him mad

“Where is who?” He ridiculed playing dumb.

“Oh, Rodrigo? Your little Muffin? He is fine, don't you worry about him. Here…” the line went silent for a moment and then I heard the faint sound of ragged weak breathing. He cleared his throat, sounding like he was fighting for his life when he spoke.

“Abigail,” I sobbed into the speaker, holding onto my phone like it was his face. I fisted the bedsheets, wanting to touch him, see him and feel him.

“Oh my goodness,” I held my chest, feeling weak as Capo pulled me into his chest and held up the phone for me.

“P…please, don't hurt him, I am begging you.”

There was no response and the sound of Rodrigo's breathing had stopped. I grew anxious with every passing second, trying to figure out what to do or say to make him listen to me. I swallowed down my cries and rubbed the tears off my face.

“Master,” I called and felt sick to my stomach saying it again.

“Master, please. I will do anything.”

“You know what to have to fucking do, Abigail.” He seethed into the phone.

“No,” Rodrigo’s weak voice came from further away.

“No, don't Abigail!” His voice grew faint, telling me that Master was waking away and my heart ached at the sound of his voice seeming so vulnerable.

But it was my turn to save him now and I would do whatever to make sure he was out of wherever he was and back home safe no matter what the cost may be.

“What do you want? I will do anything.” I pleaded, ignoring the frantic shaking of Capo's head as he stared at me with wide eyes.

“I am going to send you an address.” He said.

“I want you to go there tomorrow, alone. I get you, take you with me and then only after I have you will your precious family get their Muffin back.”

“Okay,” I agreed.

“I will be there.”

“I know you will,” he said.

“I love you, babygirl.” My lips trembled, a poisonous taste filling my mouth when I spoke.

“I love you too.”

With that, he hung up. I sat back, staring blankly at the wall ahead of us as Capo stood next to me. I felt out of breath, exhausted from just a couple of minutes long phone call.

“So, the fucker finally reached out, huh?” Nicolas said, walking into the room with Sonia behind him. I nodded, still in shock that I had heard his voice. I never thought we would cross paths again by the time the first meeting without him ended. I truly thought he gave up and would move one but he didn't.

“And Rodrigo?” Sonia asked.

“He is alive but he is weak.” Capo replied.

“We need to be very careful with how we go about this situation, we need to make plans that will allow us to get him out of there quickly without further injuring him. He could be on the verge of dying, we just wouldn't know it.” I saw and my phone dinged, I knew he would send the address.

Capo picked up my phone off the bed and opened the massage, took a picture of the address and then threw the phone back onto the bed.

“It is only thirty minutes away, he is a crazy fucking human being. I will give him that.”

“Yes,” I mumbled, fiddling with the hem of my shirt.

He is very crazy, extremely unpredictable and in this case, he sadly has the upper hand. But he is only seen me at my weakest when I was bound to a fucking chain, vulnerable and fragile. I am not his puppet anymore but he thinks I am. I can use that to my advantage when the time comes.

“So?” Sonia sat down beside me.

“What is the plan?” She asked next.

All of their eyes fell on me, patiently waiting as the screws in my brain turned and I thought out every possible outcome to getting Rodrigo without risking anyone else. I took a deep breath, preparing myself before looking at Nicolas.

“Get Alec on the next available fight here.”

____________
Rodrigo POV

“Good morning, Mr. Muffin.” That torturous voice filled my ears. The pain from each open cut, bruise and injury increased at the sound of it and the feeling of his presence in the same room as me.

“Come on, wake up.” He slapped my face. I opened my eyes and lifted my head, spitting at his feet.

“Ooh, that is not very nice, is it?” He teased, taking advantage of the fact that my hands were chained above my head and my legs to the cement floor and paused his fist into the large cut on my stomach from the crash.

“Get these chains off and I can show you how nice I can fucking be.” I seethed, the pain making my rage unbearable to hold in.

“You think you are a man, going toe to toe with me while having this much of an upper hand? No, you are a pussy, you only feel good about yourself when a helpless woman is at your feet, you worthless scum.

“Yes, yes, I have heard it all before, Muffin.” He said.

“We are going to see our precious little girl soon, are you excited?” He asked and I stayed silent.

“Oh, there it is.” He smiled.

“That got you quiet, didn't it? Is it the fear that I am going to hurt her? Or do you know that the second she sees me, she is going to fall into my arms willingly? The second she sees the man who rightfully owns her…”

“You don't own shit!” I yelled.

“She is not for you to own, you piece of shit.” My voice went weak as I let out a cough, wincing at the weight my injuries put on me. I let my head fall back against the wall, easing as much pressure off my body as I could.
