Chapter 123
Tay's POV

I walked around outside for almost about 2 hours now. I wanted to think about everything, it's like a puzzle. I know l can solve it, but it's hard to solve anything when things don't match up.

I looked up to see the woods again. We were surrounded by it, but I've always wondered where each woods led to. I looked around to see no one in sight, I gave a small smile and walked into the woods. The smell of the wet grass and trees smelled relaxing and my thinking felt more louder. I was enjoying the walk until I felt my side hurt again.

I groaned and opened my eyes to see such an enchanting place. I

blinked a few times and sat up slowly, not feeling any pain. I looked around to see everything in the woods change. Everything just seemed enchanting, beautiful, and alive. I couldn't find the pack house anymore which made me feel worried.

"You're finally awake my dear."A very soft voice spoke. I looked behind me to see a very beautiful woman.

Her hair was white as snow, her eyes are grayish with a tint of blue and gold mixed together, her silver silky dress looked stunning and her skin was pale, but she looked beautiful. Like an angel, her beauty was just breathtaking. She smiled at me and I shook my head and lowered my head not knowing how long I've been staring at her.

"But why"

"Because you called out for me." I was confused with her statement, I raised an eyebrow.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about?"

"Don't worry Tay. l don't expect you to" I took my hand away from her, "how do you my name?"

"I've heard about you. My children talks and prays for me, you've been brought up. You have heard of me, correct?" I furrowed my eyebrows and thought. I remembered as a child that my current parents had told me stories about the woman who they've adored and worshipped for a long time. My eyes began to widen and looked at her.

"M-moon Goddess.?" With that, her smile widened as she nodded her

head.

"I'm glad you knowmy name."

"B-but how? You're real?!"

She gave a laugh and nodded, "of course. For many years, I've been

watching my children from afar:

"Why? I'm a Huntress. Aren't i suppose to be your enemy too?"

"No my child. You are no enemy, you are only, but a family to my

children, But l have something to tell you.

I nodded, "what is it Goddess?"

"You need to see the family who took care of you last. I see you have been suffering for these past years and even now. I want you to know the honest truth of what life you're living in. As much as you are too blind to see. You're all grown up to handle it. But my dear child, my time is almost running out." She trailed off and we looked at each other straight in the eyes.

"I would like give you a gift before l go." She smiled and held onto my right hand, wrapping her hands on my wrist. Light came through as I felt and I look down to my skin feel tingly. She let go of my wrist and I look down to see a moon with two wolves together, heads beside on one another inked on my skin. It looked very beautiful

"Also, I must am you ahead of time. Once you find out the truth,

sacrifices are to be made in the present and future."

"What? What sacrifices?"

"What..2 But-"

"I'm sorry my child, but I have to go. Please be careful and take care of your family. It's very nice to meet you and l hope you find out the truth"

"WAIT!"I yelled as I watched her slowly disappear and i again, met with the darkness. woke up with a gasp, quickly sitting up and felt my heart racing fast. I felt my eyes tearing up and wiped it. As soon as I stood up, I looked around to see it was night and I was back at the old forest. When l walked, I felt that same sensation on my wrist. I looked at it to see the inked glowing. I furrowed my eyebrows and felt myself feel differently. I shook my head and ran to the pack house.

Eric's POV

"What do you mean you don't know where she is?! She was with you

was nowhere outside!" l yelled at Alpha Kristoffer who just told me Tay was n

in sight.

"Hey! Look, she told me she needed time to think. I tried seeing if she was okay, but she pushed me away. I just did what she wanted me to do. Which was give her space." He argued back.

Mason and Derek came running into the living room, panting as we all looked at them

"Did you find her?" Steven asked standing up from the couch

They shook their heads and Mason answered, "we smelled her scent,

but she was nowhere around. It's weird because her scent stopped by

the tree, but she wasn't there. That's the only scent there is."

"The rest just mind-linked me, they searched the whole perimeter and still can't find her." Derek said.

I groaned and ran my fingers through my hair with frustration. Janine tried saying comforting words, but sadly it still didn't help me. She was my responsibility and so many bad things kept happening. Was this the punishment that the Moon Goddess had given me? For having a Huntress as a sister? Or for letting her down as a child?

"Are you guys okay?" I heard a voice ask.

I looked up and saw Tay. I quickly ran to her and gave a quick hug

"Where have you been! You need to stop scaring the fuck out of us!"

She hugged me back, "I'm sorry. I was just by the tree then ran back here since it was late."

"Now? Why?"

"Were you in the woods like from the front??" She nodded in response

"How? I was just there and you weren't there."

"Um. Did you check up the trees?" I watched her and she still sucked at lying. She starts biting her inner lip, that's always her habit whenever lies come through brain and out of her mouth. I narrowed my eyes.

"Yes Alpha."'They responded.

"Tay. May I speak with you upstairs?" l asked and her attention turned to me. She nodded slowly as we both walked upstairs to my room while the rest stayed downstairs.

We got to my room and I opened my door. She went inside first and I

closed the door behind me, "so. You were up in a tree huh?"

She nodded her head slowly and bit her inner lip again. I sighed and studied her face more and trailed down her body to look for any

wounds, but gladly found none. Until one thing caught my eyes.

"What's that" l asked sternly, not taking my eyes off it.

She hid her hands behind her back fast and I walked quickly towards her as I tried grabbing her hands. When I did, I looked at it to see it inked.

"No " She pulled away and held her twisted.

"You got a tattoo? Up in the darn tree!" l yelled as she put her hand on my mouth.

"Shh. It's not what it seems, I- I met someone." She whispered

"Who?" I felt an eyebrow go up with curiosity.

"You're gonna think I'm crazy." she mumbled and plopped down my

"You are. Heck we re not really related, but looks like you've got our craziness in your blood." I laughed.

"Funny! But I'm serious though Eric. You won't be able to believe me at all." she sighed

"Just tell me." I sat next to her.

She sat up and she looked down at her hands, looking at her inked wrist as held her hand.

"I met the Moon Goddess.." she whispered.

I froze. I wanted to believe her, but it is crazy. It's impossible, no one has ever talked to the Moon Goddess. Well not for a long time, but none has ever heard of the Moon Goddess. How could did she talk to the her? How was that even possible?

"I told you it's crazy." She snapped me out of my thoughts

"No no, I believe you.. Why did she talk to you though? I mean- about what?"

"She told me that she wanted to meet me, how she always looked over

her children, told me how we're not enemies, but a family, and she gave me this git. I wasn't sure what for, but she just did."

"Wow. What else did you two talk about? How did she look?" I asked

excitedly.

"She looked stunningly beautiful. She looked angelic and she was very kind, but her words. It just- it keeps repeating in my head." I saw her eyes tearing up. I sat closer to her and rubs he waited for a little while and began sniffling.

"She told me two things. One, I have to know the truth. About how I live a lie l guess. I need to go back home, to our mama and papa because they know the truth about who l really am. Second, once I find out the truth about who I really am and how my life was before my parents died, there will be sacrifices being made."

I gulped and felt my heart beat a bit faster, "truth to mama and papa? Sacrifices? Like what.?"

"Yes. They know the full story and I'm not sure if what was told about my parents to me was a lie or just half the truth. but I would love to know the truth about them. Then for the sacrifice, well. One who is closest to me and one who I dearly love will make the sacrifice, but I won't find out until l know the whole entire truth."

She began to break down and cried. I've told her comforting words and would rub her back. l let her cry on me as I hugged her tightly till she calmed down. She just woke up after sleeping in a week. I was actually excited she woke up, but I wanted to know how she was. But not now at least. It's been so long since I've seen her this emotional. I've never seen her cry even as a child.

Minutes had passed and her crying began to calm. Next thing I knew she was peacefully sleeping. She wasn't suppose to be in a lot of stress, but all this ever was, it was all stress. It's not good, but I'm glad it didn't last and she's asleep.

I carried her and gently laid her down my bed. I took off her muddy

shoes and laid down next to her, putting the blanket covers on us.

caressed her cheeks as I wiped the wet tears off them, I studied her eyes that seemed puffy even if her eyes were closed.

I sighed and pulled her close to me. I closed my eyes and thought of her words carefully. Did the Moon Goddess want us to stop protecting her from who she is? We're we really protecting her from the life she never chose.? I thought protecting her from herself and from others would help keep peace.. But the Moon Goddess seems to have a different plan.

Was Tay really ready for the truth.? Are we ready for who she is? The questions still stands. but sooner or later. she will have to know the truth. I know what's suppose to happen, but this isn't my place my to tell. It's my parents.

Flash Back

The sun was up and shining through the beautiful day. I was outside

playing with my friends, Alex, Steven, James, and Derek. We were

wrestling each other so many times. We'dlaugh and have a fun, but

that's until l heard mama outside. I turned around to see her,

"HI MAMA!"I yelled as my friends looked up.

"HI LUNA! They all screamed and I ran towards her with a big hug.

"Hi baby! Boys! How's your wrestling vwith your friends?" She smiled

"GOOD! I won so many times!"

"Wow, isn't my little prince a strong werewolf. You'd be an incredible alpha." She caressed my cheek and gave it a kiss.

i smiled and stood proudly. I felt proud of myself, confident. My mother laughed until I saw a little girt holding a teddy bear peek outside the door. I looked at her and she began hiding behind it. My mother seemed to have noticed my attention and looked behind her.

"Hi sweetie, come on out. Say hi to your brother, Eric." She reached her hand out, as the little girl slowly stepped out behind the door and went outside.

Her light brown her shining through the sun, her brown eyes sparkling, rosy cheeks appearing., and her teddy bear that was hiding her lips and tiny nose. She went close to my mother and I waved, "hi Tay!"

"H-hi" She muffled through her teddy bear.

"Do you wanna play with me and my friends!?" She asked excitedly and jumped up and down.

"Now Eric, please no rough games. She's still 4, I know that you're

growing up, but please control yourself okay?" I nodded,

"yes mother. 'Hmmm 6 years old, l be able to manage especially

when I'm the alpha."

She nodded, "thank you. Now you two go have fun." I smiled widely and grab ahold of Tay's tiny hand. We ran slowly towards my friends as they looked at her.

"Guys! This is my little sister, Tay. Tay, these are my friends! James, Derek, Alex, and Steven." i smiled as the as they all greeted her. She hugged her teddy bear tightly and waved.

"She's shy." I added. They nodded their heads, but I looked at her, giving a comforting smile. Alex's expression changed

Then Tay came running to me, with a hug. She kissed my cheek lightly and looked at it. She touched it and I winced in pain.

"H-hurt?" She stuttered as I nodded. She turned her body and smacked

Alex on his face. it was loud and the boys laughed. Alex looked surprised and frowned, walking to the other side.

Tay turned her attention back to me and tried to touch my cheek again, she accidentally pressed on it hard, "ow." I said.

"I'm sawwy." She said quietly. I looked at her and smiled. She gave a smile back, but my smile disappeared as soon as l looked straight into her eyes.

End of flashback

I opened my eyes again and looked down at her. I kissed her on the

forehead and pressed my forehead against hers. A tear slipped my eyes.

"I'm sorry Tay..you wanna play with me and my friends!?" I asked excitedly and bed her back, hugging her closer.

"What did she say to you.?" here have you been! You need to stop scaring the fuck out of us!
