Chapter 15 15

Chapter 15 15
Third Person POV
Hazel sat down on one of the chairs in the room; she hadn't heard him, right? She had never seen or met a witch before, and now it just had to be after she accepted that she would get married to Draven that he told her that.
She realised that she knew too little and risked her entire being in the hope that he would help her, which wasn't much, by the way. She calmed herself down, breathing in and out as much as she could; she didn't have any clothes to carry her luggage.
She considered the idea of running away but remembered what Alpha Draven had said to her after he saved her. With a resigned sigh, she got up and walked towards the door.
One thing has been bugging her mind, and that was how he found out that Adrian had called her. She didn't feel the need to tell him or anyone when he texted her, but asking her indirectly about it was just intense.
She opened the door and walked into the dark hallway. She couldn't find Draven in the hallway, nor could she hear him anywhere close. She breathed out in relief.
"He's waiting for you, ma'am." Noah said beside her, Hazel screamed her life out as she jumped towards the wall away from where she had heard the voice.
"My goddess, what the fuck?" she screamed. Noah seemed a bit confused and bent his head down in apology. "I didn't mean to scare you; I was simply carrying out my orders," he said to her.
She composed herself before approaching him; he was another person that she couldn't make heads or tails off; he was always somewhere by the corner, like a shadow waiting on its master to call on it.
"What did he ask you to do? I have no bags to pack," she said to him. "We're well aware of that. Master Draven simply requires your presence as he's about to leave for the Silvermoon pack and requires your presence," he said.
"Your clothes have been arranged in your room; we'll be waiting for you," he said before walking off. She watched him go until she was sure she wasn't anywhere close to her; she found his presence unnerving.
She walked into her room and saw a simple floral print top and a pair of elastic jeans that fit perfectly. She put them on and quickly left the room.
She checked her phone to make sure Adrian hadn't sent her any texts that would put her in trouble with Draven. She hurried down again in a hurry, unwilling to keep the both of them waiting, especially Draven.
She came down and saw a black car parked; she couldn't forget that car; it was the one that had saved her when she had nothing left. She braced herself and walked into the back seat.
To her surprise, it was just Draven inside the car. "What about Noah?" She asked him, and he looked at her for a moment. "He had other matters to take care of," he replied.
He kept looking at me, then looked at the passenger seat beside him. Hazel got the message and quickly came out of the car and got into the front seat.
After the car started, she tried relaxing herself, but it wasn't working; she was too tense to calm herself down, especially now that she knew where she was going.
"Why are you so tense?" Draven asked her after watching her for a bit; she shook her head, trying to pretend that she was okay.
"Is it because I mentioned the witch? No need to lie," she said to her. She looked at him and nodded slowly. She knew she was still going to do what he wanted but accepting it was something else; this was going to be her life now.
"Do you want to know the truth about why I want you so bad?" He asked her out of nowhere; she hadn't expected the question, but it spiked her curiosity.
"Yes, I do," she replied. He nodded at her reply, then started the car engine. "She could explain it much better than I can for you to understand," he replied, then began driving. He rolled down the wind shield to make sure she could relax.
The idea of finding out from a witch was nerve-racking, but she would take that risk to understand why he wanted her so much; she had too; somehow she felt much more relaxed after she accepted this fact.
The ride seemed peaceful and quiet; she figured Draven didn't like talking much while he drove and she could enjoy the peace herself. As more time passed, she noticed he looked more and more worried.
It was gradually getting dark, and he seemed to be driving even faster as though he were in a rush. At some point, she began to panic, but it didn't seem like he wanted to kill the both of them.
She simply decided to trust this man; she could see the sun setting over the horizon as they reached the Diamond pack. He gradually drove in through the entrance.
She looked around and realized the pack was designed like a little town, integrated into society; it was beyond impressive and reminded her of when she went to college.
Everyone's eyes followed the car as it parked in front of a massive mansion. She couldn't differentiate the ranks, but she felt that everyone here was a werewolf; she could just feel it; she felt more comfortable, like she belonged to this place.
Alpha Draven stopped the car and climbed at; Hazel followed shortly after. In front of the car stood two rows of men and women on both her left and right; she seemed confused at what was happening but didn't say anything.
And more importantly, at the end of the rows of people, just in front of the door. Noah stood there as if he had always been amongst them, like he hadn't just been with them in the last house where they were.
He smiled slightly at her after seeing her confused expression. Slowly Noah walked up, standing far ahead of both rows, and spoke.
"The Diamond pack welcomes back our Alpha," he shouted at the top of his voice. She looked around as she saw more and more people coming over; they looked like they hadn't seen their Alpha in years.
The two rows of werewolves in front of her both bowed in respect. Draven began walking as soon as they bowed, without knowing what to do. She followed; she knew she also represented him so she couldn't look as lost as she felt.
She walked slightly behind him, matching her pace with his. They walked in silence till they got to the entrance of the mansion. Draven turned around, and so did Hazel; she just did whatever he did.
"Your Alpha is finally back!" He shouted, and his voice travelled to each and every war that could hear
"I have returned and with it the goodwill of our pack; we shall rise from where we are and achieve even greater heights," he shouted. An applause followed in response.
They all cheered and screamed; some of the children even pointed at Hazel and shouted. "Luna" repeatedly, she turned away in embarrassment; never had she ever thought she would be a Luna.
Yet here she was standing in front of people that chose to believe in her themselves. Draven turned and walked inside the mansion. Hazel waved at the crowd once more before turning and following Draven.
Noah followed after her and shut the door behind them. When she got in, she noticed the spiraling stairs on both ends of the massive hall that stood before her.
Standing in between both stairs at the top of them was Draven. It was getting dark and the moon was rising; it was a full moon. She felt she should walk up to him and congratulate him.
"I think the master needs some time alone," Noah said beside her; this time she wasn't surprised; she had experienced him. She turned and looked at him.
"Why? Did something happen?" She asked curiously. Noah simply nodded. "The Master isn't feeling very well; I'll show you to your room if you please," he replied.
"He's feeling unwell? I can help him if it's something like that." Noah cut her off before she could say anything.
"You can't help him, at least not yet," he said, then looked at the master as he stood there ominously; he didn't move, nor did he turn to look at her.
"Follow Noah, don't ask any questions," Draven said, his voice echoing through the hall.
