Chapter 5

Chapter 5
Elowen's POV

I stood in the corridor, trembling from Cassian's touch. My skin burned where his fingers had grazed me. I hated how my body reacted, how part of me had wanted more. Shame twisted in my gut.

I stumbled through the Pack House hallways, desperate for a shower to wash away this feeling. I knocked on Cindy's door—no answer. She was busy with wedding prep.

Wandering the maze of corridors, I found a door ajar. My stomach dropped when I stepped inside. Pine and smoke. Casper's room. I should leave, but I needed this.

The bathroom was pristine. I locked the door and stripped, avoiding my reflection—flushed cheeks, wild eyes, freckles like a map of shame. The hot water hit hard, stinging then soothing, washing away the ghost of Cassian's touch.

Under the spray, memories surfaced. Me as a kid, pushed into the school pool by cruel pack kids. Water closing over my head while they laughed and filmed. Then Casper jumping in, pulling me out, getting that scar on his right brow. He'd been my hero that day. That was when I started loving him, even if I didn't know it then.

But I was just the Beta's daughter—invisible, unworthy. I'd buried those feelings, especially after Drake. I wanted to be braver now, to fight for myself. Yet here I was, tangled in new messes with Cassian, feeling just as small.

Tears mixed with the water on my face. I pressed my palms against the tiled wall, trying to steady myself. My chest ached, a raw, open wound. I didn’t know what I wanted anymore. Cassian’s cold touch or Casper’s warm gaze—both scared me in different ways. I was a disaster.

The bathroom door clicked open. My heart stopped. I spun around, water dripping into my eyes, and there he was. Casper. Completely naked. His deep red-brown hair was messy, his amber eyes wide with shock as they locked on me. My hands flew to cover myself, one arm over my chest, the other down low, but it was useless. I felt exposed, raw, and my skin prickled under his stare. His gaze shifted, darkening, heat replacing the surprise. My breath caught as I saw his body react, his cock hardening right in front of me.

“Elowen,” he growled, his voice rough and low, like gravel. “What the hell are you doing in my bathroom?”

“I—I didn’t know,” I stammered, my face burning. “I just needed a shower. I’m sorry. I’ll go—”

“Don’t move,” he snapped, stepping closer. The steam curled around us, thick and heavy. I could smell him—pine and smoke, so strong it made my head spin. My back hit the wall, the tiles cold against my wet skin. He stopped just inches away, water droplets catching in his hair, sliding down his broad chest. My eyes couldn’t help but follow them, down to the hard lines of his stomach, lower still. I swallowed hard.

“You shouldn’t be here,” he said, but his tone wasn’t angry. It was hungry. His hand reached out, hovering near my arm, not quite touching. “But damn, I’m glad you are.”

“Casper, please,” I whispered, my voice shaky. I didn’t know if I was begging him to stop or to keep going. My body was screaming for him, my pussy clenching with need even as shame clawed at me. I was still reeling from Cassian, and now this. What was wrong with me?

His jaw tightened, and he stepped under the spray with me, the water soaking him instantly. His hand finally touched me, sliding up my arm, leaving a trail of fire. “Tell me to stop, El. Say it, and I’m gone.”

I opened my mouth, but no words came. My chest heaved, my nipples tight and aching as the water ran over them. His eyes dropped to my body, taking in every inch, and a low groan escaped his throat. “Fuck, you’re beautiful.”

He moved closer, his hard length brushing against my thigh. I gasped, my hands pressing against his chest, not pushing, just holding on. His skin was hot, slick under my fingers. He leaned in, his breath on my neck, and I shivered, my core throbbing. “I’ve wanted this for so long,” he murmured, his lips grazing my ear. “Tell me you feel it too.”

“Casper,” I breathed, my voice breaking. My fingers dug into his shoulders as his hand slid down my side, gripping my hip hard. His cock pressed against me, hot and heavy, sliding against my wet folds. I moaned, my head tipping back against the wall. The pain of his grip mixed with the pleasure, driving me crazy.

“Shit, El,” he groaned, his other hand tangling in my wet hair. He pulled my head to the side, exposing my neck. His teeth scraped over my skin, not biting, just teasing. “I wanna mark you. Make you mine. Right here.”

My heart raced, fear and want crashing together. “Don’t,” I managed, my voice weak. “Not yet.”

He growled, frustrated, but nodded, pulling back just enough to look at me. His eyes were pure gold now, wolfish and wild. “Then let me touch you. Let me feel you.”

His hand moved between us, fingers brushing over my pussy, slow at first, testing. I bit my lip, a whimper escaping as he pressed harder, sliding along my slit. I was so wet, and not just from the shower. His touch sent sparks through me, my legs trembling. “Fuck, you’re soaked,” he rasped, his thumb circling my clit. My hips jerked, chasing the pressure.

“Casper, oh god,” I gasped, my nails scratching down his back. He hissed, his cock twitching against my thigh. He pushed closer, his body pinning me to the wall, his fingers working me faster. I was close, so close, the heat building low in my belly.

Then a sharp knock on the outer door shattered everything. “Casper, you in there?” Cindy’s voice called, bright and urgent. “Have you seen Elowen? I can’t find her anywhere.”

My heart slammed against my ribs. Casper froze, his hand still between my legs, his breath ragged. “Fuck,” he muttered under his breath, pulling away. The loss of his touch was a physical ache. I pressed myself against the wall, trying to hide, my body still buzzing with need.

“Stay here,” he whispered, grabbing a towel from the rack and wrapping it around his waist. He glanced at me, his eyes still burning. “Don’t move. I’ll handle this.”
