Chapter 283

Chapter 283
Elowen's POV

The old chapel looked nothing like it had three weeks ago. Sophie had transformed it completely—deep green silk draped from the rafters, thousands of white roses and wildflowers creating an explosion of natural beauty, candles casting warm light over everything. The Thornwood Pack filled the pews, along with representatives from allied packs, all dressed in their finest and radiating genuine happiness.

No forced smiles. No political maneuvering. Just wolves celebrating their new Alphas and Luna.

I walked down the aisle alone, Juno's presence strong in my mind, Grimm padding beside me in his smaller hellhound form. The twins were already at the altar, standing side by side in matching black suits that made them look like they'd stepped out of some dangerous fantasy.

Cassian's ice-blue eyes tracked my every movement, Zero's possessive pride bleeding through their bond. Casper's amber gaze was softer but no less intense, Leo's joy practically vibrating through the air.

When I reached them, they each extended a hand. I took both, letting them pull me up onto the platform where Elder Marcus waited, his weathered face creased in a genuine smile.

"We are gathered here today," Marcus began, his voice carrying through the chapel, "to witness the ascension of new leadership. Cassian Thornwood and Casper Thornwood, sons of Austin and Ella, raised to protect and serve this pack. And Elowen Hartley, mate to both, chosen by fate and proven by trial."

He went through the traditional words, the ancient oaths that bound Alphas to their pack and Lunas to their mates. But when it came time for us to speak, Cassian went off-script.

"I, Cassian Thornwood, swear to lead with strength and wisdom," he said, his voice steady. "But more than that, I swear to never forget what truly matters—family, love, and the courage to admit when you're wrong." His eyes found mine. "Elowen taught me that. She taught me that being Alpha means more than power. It means protecting the people you love, even when it's hard. Especially when it's hard."

Casper nodded, squeezing my hand. "I, Casper Thornwood, swear the same. And I swear to remember that strength comes in many forms—not just physical power, but emotional resilience, the ability to forgive, the courage to love without reservation." He grinned suddenly. "Also, I swear to keep Jake from burning down the Red Wolf with his experimental cocktails."

Laughter rippled through the crowd, warm and genuine.

Then it was my turn.

"I, Elowen Hartley, accept the role of Luna," I said, my voice strong despite the emotions threatening to overwhelm me. "Not because fate decided it, but because I choose it. I choose this pack, these mates, this life. And I promise to lead with the same courage and compassion that got us through the darkness. Because we all deserve love—the kind that doesn't give up, doesn't surrender, doesn't let demons or politics or fear win."

Marcus smiled, raising his hands. "Then by the authority granted to me by the Moon Goddess herself, I declare Cassian and Casper Thornwood the Alphas of the Thornwood Pack, and Elowen Hartley their Luna. May the Goddess guide your leadership and bless your union."

The chapel erupted in cheers and howls, the sound echoing through the forest beyond. Cassian pulled me into a kiss that made my toes curl, followed immediately by Casper's equally devastating claim on my lips.

When we finally broke apart, breathless and grinning, the pack surged forward—not to bow or show submission, but to celebrate. Jake wrapped me in a rib-crushing hug, his pink shark clip somehow still attached to his messy hair. Sophie was crying happy tears while critiquing her own flower arrangements. Even Kade, Alaric, and Ronan, who had delayed their return to Ashborne specifically to witness the ceremony, offered their congratulations before finally departing.

The reception afterward was everything I'd never known I wanted—dancing, laughter, pack members sharing stories and jokes, the twins introducing me to wolves I'd never properly met before. No formality, no political posturing. Just family.

"Dance with me," Cassian murmured in my ear as a slow song started. "Both of us."

I let them lead me onto the makeshift dance floor, one twin on each side, their hands guiding me through movements that felt natural despite the unconventional arrangement. We must have looked ridiculous—three people trying to dance as one—but I didn't care. This was us. This was our love. Messy, complicated, absolutely perfect.

"So," Casper said, his amber eyes twinkling with mischief. "We've been thinking about the twins."

"Oh no," I teased. "That's always dangerous."

"Hear us out," Cassian said, his expression mock-serious. "If we have a son, he's definitely inheriting my racing business. Zero's already planning his training regimen."

"And if we have a daughter," Casper continued, "she gets the Red Wolf. Leo thinks she'll be a natural at managing drunk wolves."

I laughed, the sound bubbling up from somewhere deep and happy. "And what if we have one of each? Or what if they don't want your businesses?"

"Then they get everything anyway," Cassian said simply. "The racing company, the bar, the pack, our hearts—it's all theirs. Just like it's all yours."

"Everything we have, everything we are," Casper agreed, his voice soft. "It's yours, Elowen. It always has been."

I stopped dancing, looking between them with tears in my eyes—happy tears, grateful tears, tears that came from finally understanding what it meant to be loved completely. "You two are going to make me cry at my own ceremony."

"Good," Cassian said, pulling me closer. "Cry if you need to. Laugh if you want to. Just stay with us. Forever."

"Forever," I whispered, feeling the twins flutter in my stomach as if agreeing. "I can do forever."

The music swelled, and we started moving again, three bodies moving as one, two wolves and their Luna dancing under the stars. Around us, the pack celebrated, their joy and acceptance wrapping around us like a warm blanket.

This was it. This was everything.

Not perfect, because life never was. But real, and beautiful, and worth every battle we'd fought to get here.

"I love you," I said, the words encompassing everything—the past, the present, the future we'd build together. "Both of you. So much."

"We love you too," they said in unison, their voices blending perfectly. "Always."

And as the night stretched on, filled with laughter and love and the promise of tomorrow, I realized something important:

Everyone deserves to find their person—or people, in my case. Everyone deserves the kind of love that doesn't quit, doesn't falter, doesn't let darkness win. The kind of love that says "I choose you" every single day, through every challenge, every joy, every moment in between.

I'd found that love. Against all odds, despite every obstacle, through hell itself.

And I was never letting go.

Three months from now, I'd hold my babies for the first time. Cassian would probably try to teach them about cars before they could walk. Casper would definitely sneak them tastes of whatever experimental drink Jake created. We'd face new challenges, new responsibilities, new fears.

But we'd face them together.

Alpha Cassian. Alpha Casper. Luna Elowen.

And two tiny Thornwoods who didn't know it yet, but they were already the most loved children in the entire supernatural world.

This was our beginning. Our forever.

And it was perfect.
