Chapter 37 Chapter 37
Chapter 37 Chapter 37
Luceila’s POV
I left the dinning area with trembling legs, breath uneven. I could still feel the brothers toes curled inside me under the table, my thighs were sticky, my core was aching. Every step down the hallway came with humiliation of what had just happened.
As soon as we left the dining hall, my mother grabbed my arm and dragged me aside.
“You disgusting little brat,” she spat the moment we were alone. “Do you think I didn’t notice? The way you were squirming in your seat, flushed like a bitch in heat.”
My heart dropped, for a second I thought she knew what happened under the table.
“You were acting up, right in front of the Draven! You’re going to ruin everything I’ve built. Everything!”
“Mom, I didn’t…”
“Shut your mouth!” She cuts in, her nails digging into my arm. “You’ve always been a burden. Weak wolf, fractured soul, and now you’re doing everything to get the Alpha's attention? Fix yourself before you destroy what little respect I have left in this pack. Get married, and stop embarrassing me!”
Her words, always sharp and poisoned with venom. I didn't know why my own mother treated me this way. For a second, my heart dropped in disappointment, not the heat the brothers had ignited earlier.
“I'm sorry," I whispered, but she just shoved me and stormed off.
The hallway was dimly lit, but I kept walking. As soon a I turned a corner, I froze.
Reis and Luciana.
He had his back against the wall, Lucian fisted desperately in his shirt as she leaned up to kiss him.
Reis’s hands were reluctantly on her waist, but the moment he saw me over her shoulder, he pulled away sharply.
Luciana stumbled back, confused, then followed his gaze to me. Her expression darkened, changing into pure hatred.
Reis’s voice was cold and cutting. “Always interrupting at the worst times, aren’t you? Pathetic.”
He brushed past Luciana without another word, checking me over his shoulders lightly before walking away. The insult stung worse than it should have, especially after what he’d done to me under the table barely an hour ago.
Luciana approaching me instantly, curling me like a predator ready to pounce on its prey. “This is your fault, you worthless bitch!” she snarled, stepping closer.
“Nobody can take Reis away from me. Not you, not your broken wolf, not your desperate attempts to seduce the brothers,” she spat. " You’re nothing but a gold-digging whore and Reis will never want you. None of them will. You’re just a curse they’re forced to tolerate.”
I tried to walk away, but she grabbed my arm and yanked me back hard. “Don’t you dare turn your back on me!”
Before I knew what was happening, she landed a heavy slap on my cheek.
The slap came fast and sharp, snapping my head to the side. My cheek stung painfully. Something inside me snapped.
I thought about all the hatred I have put up with, the humiliation, and suppression surged forward. I returned the slap with equal force, my palm connecting solidly with her face.
“You bitch!” she screamed.
Her hands flew and caught my hair, as she pulled hard on it. I returned the hostility, pulling her hair with equal force.
She grabbed a fistful of my hair and yanked hard, making my skull scream in pain. I kept one of my hand fisted in her hair and pulling hard, while my other hand clawed at her arms, shoving her against the wall.
We stumbled, as her back hit Reis’s hair.
“Get off me," she screamed and slapped me again, raking her nails down my neck. I kicked at her legs, trying to shove her off.
“Stop it, both of you!” Rein’s voice boomed as he reappeared from around the corner. He grabbed Luciana’s shoulder first, pulling her back, but his other hand found mine. He held it firmly, almost protectively, as he positioned himself slightly in front of me.
“Reis, she attacked me!” Luciana cried, tears of rage in her eyes. “She’s trying to separate us!”
He didn’t fully release me. “Enough. This isn’t the time or place. Go cool off, Luciana.”
She looked betrayed, glaring dangerously at me before storming away. Reis’s grip on my hand tightened. Without a word, he pulled me down the hall toward my room. Once inside, he closed the door and let go like my skin burned him.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” he scolded coldly, arms crossed. His voice held no trace of the heat from dinner.
“Fighting in the hallway like a wild animal? You think that makes you look any better? After everything tonight under the table, squirming like you couldn’t get enough, you still manage to make things worse.”
I backed toward the bed, my skull throbbing where Sisilya had pulled my hair. Tears stung my eyes. “She attacked me first, I was just trying to walk away.”
“Doesn’t matter,” he snapped. “You’re supposed to be better than this, or at least smarter. The bond is already a weakness, the pack is watching so don’t make it worse with catfights in the corridors.”
I sank onto the bed, head pounding, body still sensitive from dinner. The contrast between his cold words now and the way his toes had fucked me to orgasm earlier made everything hurt more.
“You all used me at that table… and now you act like I’m the problem?”
“Used you?" He scoffed. “You consent to everything, and now you're saying you were used?"
“Why go through the trouble of doing all that to me, since you hate me so much?" I whispered, tears stinging the back of my eyes.
For a moment he was silent, the. The he spoke. “Get your act together, Luceila. Don't make Ruan's claim about you true."
That, stung too. Ruan's claim?
I shut my eyes to push back the tears, then I opened my mouth to respond when the door flew open.
