Chapter 123 - The Arrival Asmodeus

**Davina's P.O.V.**

After Maelani's arrival through the portal, we decided to keep it guarded in case anyone else tried to come through. We just sit down to have our breakfast when we receive a mindlink.

"A demon and a hound just came through the portal. What do you want us to do?" Jessi looks at me before replying to the guard.

"What do you want to do?" She asks. I'm curious to see who they are.

"Let's go to the portal and see who decided to grace us with their presence," I reply. Jessi shakes her head with a smile.

"We're on our way." After handing Camilla to Zoe, she teleports me, Jock, Wyatt, Trevor, and Rmina to the portal. When we arrive I recognize the two people immediately. It's Melantha and Dion. What are they doing here?

"What do you want?" I ask, stepping in front of everyone else. I'm not scared of anyone from the underworld, and they know it. I'm surprised to see their eyes aren't as black, and they seem nervous.

"My dad sent me here to get Maelani and her mate. He wants me to take them home so he can kill them. That's not why we came, though." Melantha replies. I notice that she and Dion are holding hands. I wonder what that's about.

"Then why are you here?" Jessi demands, standing next to me with her arms crossed. Melantha looks at Dion, and he nods.

"We don't want to go back. We want to stay here. Dion and I are mates. We'd like a chance to prove ourselves and help you defeat Asmodeus. I know you don't owe us anything, but please don't send us back." Has anyone ever seen a demon cry? I sure haven't, but those tears coming from Melantha's eyes are real. I look at Jessi and she looks just as shocked as me.

"How do we know you're not here on your dad's behalf?" I ask, although I did notice she didn't call him dad like usual. When she looks up at me, I see green peaking through the black of her eyes. I look at Dion, and he has some blue showing. Is it true? Can I really bring out the good in people? Is that another reason I can use to make Rmina bow to me?

"Touch them," Jessi says. I look at her in confusion, and she rolls her eyes. "Use your fairy goddess magic and see if there is any good in them."

"What?" Melantha asks, looking at me. I giggle and twirl happily. Sometimes, I even forget about my abilities.

"I'm a fairy goddess, and I can tell when people are all bad or if they have some good inside. That's why I let Maelani stay here." Before Melantha can say anything, I make myself tiny and fly around her and Dion. I take my time because I don't want to be tricked. I'm surprised when I can feel the darkness leaving them. They do want to be good. When I make myself big, everyone stares at me expectantly.

"So tell me, if you two have a child, will it be a demon, a hound, or a demon hound?" I ask them.

"Davina! Are they good or not?" Jessi smacks me lightly on the arm. Oh, yeah, I forgot to share what I found out about them.

"They're good. Look at their eyes. Dions are turning blue, and Melanthas are turning green. I bring out the rainbow in everyone. Maybe if we get enough colors, I can make everyone shoot Skittles out of their eyes." I giggle as everyone looks at me in disbelief. Sometimes, I even surprise myself. Who wouldn't want a skittle rainbow?

"Are you sure, Miss Skittle fairy?" Rmina looks at Dion and Melantha suspiciously.

"Yes, I'm sure, and I've decided since I am a fairy goddess who brings out the good in people, you have to bow to me, and this time, I won't take no for an answer," I say.

"Why do you want me to bow to you but no one else?" I hear the hurt in her voice, and I stop twirling. Should I tell her the truth? When I see how she's looking at me, I feel bad.

"I'm jealous of you," I think everyone stopped breathing as Rmina's mouth falls open.

"You're jealous of me? Why?" She walks toward me, and I look down at my feet.

"You're pregnant, and I can't get pregnant. I want a baby more than anything." Jock puts his arms around me, and so does Rmina. I hug her, trying to hold back my tears. Now is not the time to cry.

"I'm sorry you're having trouble getting pregnant. I'm sure it will happen for you real soon." She says as Jessi joins our hug fest, shoving Jock away.

"Uh, I know why you can't get pregnant." We all look at Melantha. Jessi looks like she's going to attack her, but I hold her back.

"Why would you know anything about that?" I step forward, and she looks down.

"Asmodeus had a warlock place a spell on you so you can only have his children." Melantha's tears fall as I step closer to her. She looks like she expects me to hit her, but I hug her instead.

"Don't be upset. It's not your fault." I tell her, but she shakes her head.

"It is my fault. I'm the one that got the warlock for him. I'm so sorry, Davina." She starts sobbing, but I still don't blame her. She was only doing what her dad wanted.

"We'll figure this out. Come on, let's go to the palace." I turn around, and Jessi and everyone else look at me in surprise.

"You want them to stay at the palace?" Jessi asks.

"Yes. They want to be good; we'll know where they are, and they can help us in the fight that's coming. You do plan on helping us, right?" I ask Dion. He's been with Asmodeus for centuries. I wouldn't believe he had changed if I couldn't tell how in love he is with Melantha.

"We're here to help you. I don't want to do anything that will risk my mate getting hurt. If Asmodeus finds out we left and he gets his hands on her, he'll kill her. You have my word that we won't try anything." Dion says, stepping forward. His eyes are almost entirely blue now. He really is a handsome man. Nobody tell Jock I thought that though, okay?

"Alright, let's go," I say, and everyone follows behind me. "Rmina, can you do something about the spell the warlock placed on me?"

"I'll try. Let me see if I can figure out what spell he could have used. There has to be a way to get you out from under it." She falls into step next to me, and I take her hand. I really do love her, even if I do pick on her a lot. I start humming to myself as we walk to the palace.

"What's that song you're humming?" Melantha asks. Everyone else groans while I giggle.

"It's a song I just made up. Do you want to hear it?" I look at her, and she looks uncertain.

"Trust me, you want to say no," Jessi says. Although I know she really wants to hear it because she thinks it's about Dion and Melantha.

"I'm curious. Go ahead, let me hear it." Melantha replies. She and Dion have heard my songs but never one about them.

*"The demon and the hound. The demon and the hound. Does Dion howl in pleasure or cry in horror when he licks Melantha? The demon and the hound. The demon and the hound. Does Dion howl in pleasure or cry in horror when he licks Melantha?"*

Look, everyone, I made a demon and a hound from hell turn red from embarrassment. They both ignore me while everyone else laughs. Maelani and Darian are waiting for us when we reach the palace steps.

"What are they doing here?" Maelani asks, glaring at her sister.

"They want to be good like you. They're mates, and they're going to help us." I answer her. She looks like she's going to argue but the ground suddenly starts shaking.

"Uh, oh. I think ass man just found out you're not coming back. Everyone get ready." Jessi says, pulling out her sword. It looks like the first fight is coming sooner rather than later.
