Chapter 165 Uiseeli's Explanation

It had actually scared the shit out of me waking up and feeling the urgency to pull Tali back from where she was. So, when I saw her asleep next to me I didn’t understand and just took her hand. Then hers was yanked in her sleep like something was attempting to take her. So, I pulled her into my arms and held her tight, then she opened her eyes.

When she rushed to the bathroom and got sick we weren’t sure what was up. Was this just baby related and morning sickness or did something else happen. What I never expected was for her to look at us and say the spirit realms were closed. 

So now we are looking for Uiseeli and trying to find out what actually happened and what the repercussions are. She’s still frazzled so whatever happened it was huge and I want to ask her about it but again I don’t want to further upset her. So, perhaps after we speak to Uiseeli we’ll be able to sit her down and speak to her about all of this bullshit.

I can tell by their faces I am not the only one concerned by her current state of mind and actions. Of course, the last few days have been a series of battles and emotional blows so I think that is also affecting her. After all, last night she’d shared with me things that are deeply painful for her, and no doubt brought up a huge amount of emotional baggage in the process. 

So, today, as soon as we find out what is going on, I just want to hold her and help her to feel at peace and loved with us today. Not to mention she missed being with Jareth, so just a mom day to be with him would also be highly advisable, we all want dad days as well with that. 

We are sitting at the table, and she’s nibbling on some crackers and tea and she finally sees Uiseeli making her way to us. She actually looks rather frantic herself. So now, we are really on guard about what is happening.

“My god child are you alright?” She says by way of greeting, and with that Tali stills. 

She clears her throat, “Ah, as far as I know, that backlash made me sick, and I still feel a little off kilter with the whole thing, but other than that I think I am alright. I would, however, like to take a day or two to just recuperate from all of this bullshit. That is if my daughter will allow me to do so.” 

We all had to chuckle at that, and even Uiseeli laughed lightly, “Child I would have said that what you did was impossible, but I would have been wrong. I don’t think you truly grasp what a miracle you are.”

Now Tali froze with huge eyes and a totally shocked look on her face, and I piped in, “Perhaps you should share with us exactly what is going on. I woke up with the urgent need to cling to her and pull her back from wherever she was. She physically was lying next to me in the bed, but when I took hold of her hand she gripped it hard, and then she sat up gasping, and proceeded to run to the bathroom and become ill. So, I am quite concerned about exactly what happened.” 

Uiseeli sat extremely gracefully, which was truly the only way she ever did anything, and looked at each of us, “The spirit realm was just that, a realm created for those beings who are incorporeal and purely spirit in nature. Their creator was the goddess of spirits and mists, so her realm was to remain as such. It was also known that those beings would be detrimental to those of more corporeal forms should they interact. Well, when Shaitan decided to blow up the world, one of the things he eventually decided to do was to find her, and seduce her. Once he had her convinced of his love, he mated her, then he had her open the realm and release her creations.” 

We were all sitting speechless listening to this tale. “Oohlar had already told me the realm was open but we goddesses had known that for a while now. Sirens have been part of legend and folklore for a long time on Earth, and other realms also know of them. There are other forms they take as well, such as spirits and such in the Earth realm. So, they cause destruction wherever they go. Previously due to their nature they were very hard if not impossible to destroy. She was even more so, and our hands were tied as long as she remained in her own realm.” 

Tali blinked and looked around at all of us, “Was that where I was?” 

“Yes child you were pulled into the Spirit realm and she took you where we would not have been able to follow and save your life. Your mates possibly could have, but your dream walking allowed you to be pulled into the realm with your spirit and not your body. She never expected you to be able to kill her. She also never suspected the truth of what Shaitan was and how he was using her, so she learned that in the end as well. He will no doubt have very much felt that also, for as her mate, he would feel the backlash of their severed bond.” 

I looked closely at her, “Uisleeli, what happened, and why did I feel such an urgent need to pull her back and hang on to her?”

She looked at me and grinned, “You are the only one who could have done that, as she was connected to you through the ties with your father Shaitan. When she died, the gateways were closed and sealed forever, so, if you had not been able to pull her spirit to you and out of that realm, she would have been lost to us forever.” 

Tali turned and blinked at me, a tear slid down her cheek, then she took my face in her hands and kissed me tenderly, “She most definitely knew what she was doing when she added you to our family. I love you, and not just because you rescued me, although that is bad ass, you are in good company, I think all of you have taken turns saving my ass. So, yeah, I love all of you, but thank you my love, thank you for saving me.” 

I chuckled, and kissed her yet again, “I think I speak for each of us when I say, you have rescued us as well my love, more times than can ever be counted. Never doubt our love. We would walk through anything for you.”

She laughed, “Well let’s hope none of us have to. So, now we just have to figure out what’s next.”

We all nodded.
