Chapter 18
Asher's pov
‘That damn bastard,’ I cursed inwardly, I have never been so angry all my life.
My mind flashed back to the meeting, and as I remembered how it ended, my fury threatened to overflow. My chest tightened, anger clouding my head as I tried hard to focus on the road.
I swerved between vehicles, overtaking each one as my speed limit continued to increase. I felt so angry. I wanted to destroy everything in sight.
I couldn't go home, not like this. I couldn't allow Amelia to see me like this. As I thought of Amelia, a painful pang went through my heart, and the sorrow that accompanied it calmed me down a bit.
Why did she lie, why did she not tell me she was Damien's mate, she should have told me, I trusted her after all. Maybe that wasn't the only thing she had been lying to me about.
Was I even the father of the baby? If she lied once, what was stopping her from lying again?
I knew I had to talk to her, to clear all of my doubts, to repair our broken relationship. But I didn't want to, and when I realised that, I was a bit terrified.
I could sense it, deep down, I was enjoying it. This feeling of anger and uncontrollable fury made me feel strong, made me feel powerful. I wanted more.
When I realized this, I knew I definitely couldn't go back home now. I needed to clear my head. I gripped the steering so tight, that my knuckles turned white, and then I sighed. I changed the direction of the vehicle, heading to a different location.
After a few minutes, I reached the location. It was a beach, one that held lots of memories. The three of us used to come here, me, Isabella and Damien This used to be our spot.
I loved nature when I was younger and because of that, I loved going to the beach. The ocean waves and the clear blue sky had a way of making me feel serene. I loved it.
I had found this place first, then I invited the other two. Damien didn't like the beach, he complained that the sand was too much and the water wasn't even drinkable.
Although he complains a lot, he agreed to always go there with me. Isabella agreed knowing the two of us would be there, she always followed us around.
I smiled as I remembered that day. But that was then, now, we were enemies. Well at least me and Damien were, Isabella on the other hand was still a friend but she came and went whenever she liked. At times I resent her for destroying our friendship.
Ever since the split, I haven't been here. I had gradually changed. I still loved nature, which was obvious when you looked at my garden but it wasn't like before. Sitting here on the beach made me realize how much I missed my old self, my normal self.
I sat on the beach for hours, staring off into the horizon and thinking. My thought process went through a lot of events, from how I met Amelia, to our sex sessions and to the meeting that ended just a few hours ago.
And then it went further back, as backwards as when I was little.
I heard footsteps, and my mind drifted back to reality. I looked to my right, my eyes widened a little when I saw who it was.

I got into my car, I started it and drove away. It was time to go back home. I took deep breaths as I drove my mind getting more peaceful. I had made my decision, I would live for myself.
After thinking on the beach for a long time and with the conversation I had with that person, I decided that I wouldn't let the hurricanes of life sweep me away again. I wouldn't make the same mistake twice.
I felt at ease at this moment, it was like countless amounts of troubles that had piled up over the years were suddenly cut off.
Change was a good thing but at times it could also be a terrible thing. As I grew up, I had gradually changed from a young boy who loved and cared from the bottom of his heart to a young man who cared out of obligation.
I cared about my pack members, but that was because I felt that it was part of my duty to care about them. If it comes down to it, I would pick Amelia over them, just like I had picked Isabella over Damien. I didn't want to be like that, that wasn't me.
I guess the world had changed me, the brutality of the packs as they fought for dominance had made my view of the world change. I would love to blame it on that, but the first step towards becoming myself again was to take responsibility.
And the second step was to confront Amelia. Even though I might not like what she says, I must hear her out. I sighed, I was very nervous, I was about to have my heart possibly broken after all.
I arrived at the castle, I came down from my vehicle and began to stroll forward. As I passed, my subordinate greeted me. I paid them no heed though because my mind had already drifted to my conversation with that person.

I looked to my right, my eyes widening as I saw who it was that came to visit. It was Isabella.
She was beautiful as always, her long blond hair flowers like silk behind her, the ocean breeze making them cascade, her deep ruby red eyes visible even from the distance, glowing like Venus.
A long white flowing robe graced her curves as she walked barefooted in the sand, her caramel white skin soft and alluring. Her full lips perked up in a smile as she noticed my stare.
As she got close to me, I could see her amazing curves, her transparent gown revealing her pink nipples and the fact that she wore nothing under.
I felt myself get erect.
She sat beside me, not uttering a word and we stared into the horizon together. Then she made a move, cupping my face as she pulled me close. I made no attempt to stop her.
She kissed me deeply, her tongue sliding into my mouth, and I reciprocated. Our kiss grew more intense as she straddled me.
I grabbed her soft ass, pulling her gown up as I inserted my fingers into her. She moaned in pleasure. I fingered her but there had been no need to, she was already wet and dripping.
I pulled out my dick, inserting it into her, the familiar warmth covering my member as I fucked her. I pounded into her deeply, pounding my emotions away.
She broke our kiss, looking me deep in the eyes as she moaned, her eyes filled with lust.
“Come back to me,” she said, her smile seductive but it didn't do anything to me, in fact, it had the opposite effect.
I realised that she was the reason for everything. She came and went as she liked, doing as she pleased but I listened to her nonetheless.
She was the one that destroyed my relationship with Damien, she was the one who advised me to change my view of the world, she was the cause of everything. She was the root of my problems.
I felt fury well up in my heart once more as I grabbed her neck, choking her as I pounded deeper. Being the whore she was, she liked it even more.
I pounded harder and harder until we both climaxed, but I didn't enjoy it. In fact, it was the dullest climax I've ever had.
I pushed her down, grabbing her mouth open and inserting my cock down her throat. She slurped in it, licking it clean. I got up, doing my zip and dusting my clothes. I looked at her, her body still twitching from the orgasm but still her clut was already erect, her pussy ready for more pounding.
Fucking whore.
“Henceforth, I've severed all ties between us, I don't want to see you around anymore. You being the whore you are, I'd say this fuck was as good a farewell present as any you'd ever get so you better revel in it.”
Her eyes showed confusion at first, then realization. I didn't know what she was thinking but she probably still didn't believe what I said. She was so full of herself.
“Hmm, you can't cut me off, I'm Isabella, your first love. I'm sure you'll come running back after the new bitch you took in can't satisfy you in bed anymore.”
She giggled, her voice sultry. She stood up, grabbing my loins as she whispered in my ear,
“You can't do without me.”
I pushed her to the ground, a mocking smile on my face, her expression changing to one of shock.
“Really? Okay then, if you think so. But I'll warn you now if I ever see you near my castle or anywhere near me again,... I'll kill you.” My expression turned cold at the last part, her eyes widened as she realised I wasn't joking. I walked away, heading to my car, I was going to live for myself from now on, no person would ever pull me around again, not even Amelia.

I arrived at Amelia's room. I opened the door to find her pacing, she looked up at me, fear and eagerness in her eyes.
I knew she had heard of the meeting, I knew I should tell her about the result first to calm her down but I didn't. Instead, I asked directly,
“Who is the father of your child?!”
