Chapter 117: Love's Tug of War

His penetration into her tightness drove him wild, he loved her walls' grip on his shaft and her absolute submission, willingness, and need for him.

She made him feel like he was the only man for her in the world. He was lucky to have found her. She would belong to him, and only him. He would make sure of that.

"Yess..Adrian, like that please…ohhhh," she said, grabbing his face and breathing heavily against his mouth. "Don't stop…please don't. You're making me go crazy,"

"Like that," he asked, vigorously thrusting into her.

"Yes, yes, arrrgghh…" she said and moved a bit so he could hit her g-spot. And thus began the initiation of her climax but it was rudely interrupted by Adrian's declaration.

"I adore you, Sharon," he whispered, and softly added, "I love you, ma douce."

She covered his mouth with her hand, silencing him.

His motion ceased.

With teary eyes, she shook her head, pleading.

"Don't say that," she whispered. "Please don't jinx what we have."

He removed her hand from his mouth.

"I love you," he affirmed. "And I'm never gon'n let you go."

Avoiding his gaze, she turned away.

"Look at me," he urged.

She didn't so he held her chin and made her meet his eyes.

He raised one leg to have better penetration. Adrian kissed her and began moving again.

Intensely. Passionately. Unyielding.

"No matter what happens, you will eventually be totally mine…"

Her hands rested on his arse, her entire being dissolved in his thrusts. His words and breath on her skin sent her into euphoria; she could have sworn she saw bright lights..

She was sure to cum. He knew it. He always knew. He knew about her desires more than she probably did.

"Come to me, Sharon..." he said, his voice drenched in pure ecstasy. Her passion cries were all the encouragement he needed.

"Oh Adrian…yes…ahhhh yes," she cried, allowing herself to go. Her climax started with a warmth from deep within her and flowed throughout her body.

The tears came flowing. She couldn't help it. As the tears flowed, he smiled. Those were the only kind of tears he wanted to see in her eyes. He climaxed too shortly afterward.

Her body still shook, and the tears still flowed as he laid beside her. She cuddled next to him, and he held her close. Her mind was still playing his thrusts in her head and her body was reacting to it, giving her multiple orgasms.

She shivered like she had a cold, and he pulled her to lie on top of him. Adrian didn't want to miss a thing, he wanted to feel her movements on him. He could not get enough of her.

He could feel her tears on his chest, the hum from her soft crying and gentle moments. He stroked her hair and back to calm her.

"Don't forget," he said. "I love you, I always will."

Sharon felt an overwhelming surge of emotion. She was awestruck by the depth of affection she felt for this man; how he had the power to ignite her soul with just a touch, how he knew her so intimately, body and mind.

Her tears stopped as she found comfort in his words, and she eased into sleep. Tenderly, he turned her over, nestled behind her and cradled her body in his arms, exactly where she belonged.

He closed his eyes and slept off as well.

Sharon and Adrian lay entwined in each other's arms, their bodies still humming with the reverberations of their passionate lovemaking.

The room seemed to shimmer with the afterglow of their union, as if the very air around them held the remnants of their fiery connection.

She despised the appearance of the coldness she projected when Adrian told her that he loved her, but she had been consistently truthful about herself with Adrian from the start.

He did not deserve someone like her, he deserved better. She was convinced so.

There was no room for love in her life, her past wouldn't allow it. She was being held captive by her fate. She had nothing more than her body to offer Adrian.

No one would comprehend her until her story was revealed. From conception to her current point in life, the only good people she had encountered were Thomas, her beautiful son; Fannie, her guardian angel; and Adrian, the shining light in her life.

Everyone else in her life viewed her with disdain, including her own mother, who practically threw her away. She had no idea what it felt like to be loved by a parent. Bouncing from one foster home to another, she essentially had to raise herself.

Her life had been marked by being used, lied to, denied, manipulated, and pushed to the brink of losing her sanity.

A series of harsh and hard blows from life left her unable to reciprocate love or give back. Despite her desire to do so, she felt incapable.

How could she soar when she had no wings?

How could she give what she didn't possess?

How?
