Chapter 0229
FEYRE
"No!" I scream, pushing the hand holding me back away as I try to run to Zade when I see his body slump to the ground with a hard thud.
That has got to hurt just from the sound he made when he collided with the floor.
"Stay still." The crazy man holding me back commands harshly.
I ignore him and try to twist out of his hold but his grip is strong as hell. It feels like I'm not even trying when I know I'm putting all my strength.
This would have been the best fucking time to use that syringe Raya gave me. Only if I still had it but the asshole wrestled me for it outside and he took it away.
"Get her quiet, or I'll do it myself." the familiar voice that is sounding more and more foreign by the second, says.
I instantly freeze, my body stopping before I even gave it the order to. I spin as much as I can in the man's hold and face Alpha Lucien. The warmth I see in his eyes, the same one I used to say I never saw in Zade's is nowhere to be found. I'm staring into bottomless gray pits and he looks like a stranger to me. A stranger whose face looks familiar.
I shake my head, my voice breaking as I try to speak. I try to speak but only a broken garbled sound comes out.
He huffs, like just my mere presence annoys him.
"Let's go," the man, who I used to think was the alpha king grumbles, shoving me forward.
I almost trip, not expecting the move. He is quick to catch me. He hoists me up and pulls hard on my hands until I yelp in pain, then he growls near my ear.
"Keep it moving, or I'll force you and trust me, you won't like it." He threatens by my ear, his tone telling me it was a promise he will be more than happy to fulfill.
I swallowed down all the emotions clogging my throat and held my head up high. I shoot another glance at Alpha Lucien then I turn around and let the man lead me away.
I refuse to glance at Zade again. Whatever I have in mind, I won't be able to do it if I'm worrying about him.
His father wouldn't kill him or at least, I hope. The man I'm seeing right now is not the one that came and asked for my help, begging me to come to his pack because he thought his son was lost.
What was his main aim, really? I couldn't for the life of me think of an answer to that question.
That and many more that keep popping in my head.
I wait for the footsteps that show the others are coming with us too, but there is none. We are the only ones.
Before we reach the end of the place where I can see a metal looking door, I hear alpha Lucien's voice as he addresses the man, probably, the one Zade was with. Or the one holding onto the lady that looks like me.
My sister?
That was just crazy news. I didn't have any sister.
I know from the pack and everything everyone said that I'm an only child. And I look like both my mum and dad so they couldn't say either my mum or dad had them outside before me. And she looks older than me.
And if they are twins then where is the other twin?
I wanted to know, even if I didn't want to believe it.
"Stay here and don't try anything stupid." The man grumbles, shoving me away roughly.
We have entered a room. A normal hospital looking room with a bed, an IV and all those other devices. I can only name the heart monitor out of all the others.
My heart starts beating fast when I recall what I went through with that crazy doctor. The last thing I want is a repeat of that madness. Just thinking of the pain has my body tingling in all the wrong ways.
I don't get to worry for long thinking about what they are going to do to me. The man returns, but instead of his all black attire and expensive suit, he has stripped down to just the slacks and the dress shirt, he is also wearing a white doctor's coat over it and he has a stethoscope around his neck.
I'm unable to breathe through my nose, I have no choice but to open my mouth and huff out a breath.
"Strip." He says as he walks to the bed and starts adjusting some things.
I don't move from where I am, sure that he has no idea what he just said, or he wasn't even speaking to me, which was unlikely seeing as we're alone.
"You heard me." he mutters, looking at me over his shoulder.
My forehead creases and my nose scrunches in distaste. I fold my arms across my chest, still making no move to do as he said.
