Chapter Twenty- Seven

Bellamy pov

Bellamy Monroe was used to getting what she wanted. Her looks had always opened doors for her, both in her career and her personal life. The kind of woman who commanded attention in any room she entered, she was not above playing them up—her long, dark hair fell over her shoulders, with fringes highlighting her icy gray eyes that had captivated more than just cameras.

The problem was she hadn’t been able to hold onto the one thing she wanted Gustin Winchester but she had never been one to let rejection stop her, especially when it came to Gustin.

From the moment they had met, she had known they were meant to be.

She was drawn to his charm and he was drawn to her beauty, everything had worked out fine until

Leilani Jordan. Bellamy hated her with everything in her, She still remembered the look on his face the night he told her he was going to marry Leilani—a woman he barely knew. It had been like talking to a stranger.

The affair that followed after his marriage had been her way of reminding him what they had and for a brief moment, it worked. She'd had him back, even if it was only in clandestine meetings. But that had all fallen apart too when Leilani had found out a few months later it led to the divorce Bellamy had wanted.

Yet, even with Leilani out of the picture, Gustin hadn’t returned to her. He had shut down, retreating into his guilt, and Bellamy was left alone again with only her son as a consolation prize.

But she wasn’t going to give up easily.

Gustin had been hers once, and he would be hers again.

---

Bellamy stood in the hallway outside Gustin’s office, waiting for his assistant to let her in. Her eyes flicked to the glass doors, her reflection staring back at her . She had on one of the dresses that he liked it was tight, perfectly fitted to show off her curves, and her makeup was flawless.

She had made sure of it, because if there was one thing Bellamy knew, it was that Gustin had a hard time resisting her body.

The assistant, avoided eye contact as she approached the desk.

"Mr. Winchester said he’s busy and unable to see you right now.”she said, her voice clipped.

Bellamy’s jaw clenched. Busy?

“That’s fine,” Bellamy said with an icy smile.

“I’ll go up myself.” she turned to the office.

“Miss Monroe, you can’t just—”

Bellamy ignored her and strode into Gustin’s office,he was seated behind his massive oak desk, his eyes cold as they lifted to meet hers.

“Bellamy,” he greeted, his voice devoid of warmth.

, “what the hell are you doing here?"

She smiled, not bothered by his icy reception.

“I came to see you. "

“I don’t have time for this,” he said, his voice cold and dismissive.

“You shouldn’t be here.”he finished a d she shrugged

"We need to talk.”

“We have nothing to talk about,at my office” Gustin said, leaning back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest. Bellamy knew him too well, she could sense the tension under the surface.

“We do,” she insisted, her voice softening as she stepped closer.

“You know we do. Gustin, I’ve been thinking about everything that’s happened…about us”

“There is no us anymore,” Gustin said, his tone hardening.

“Whatever we had is over.”

She ignored the finality in his words, her eyes locking onto his as she leaned against the edge of his desk, her body deliberately close to his.

“You don’t mean that. We have a son together " she mumbled

Gustin’s jaw tightened, his eyes narrowing as he stood up, creating more distance between them.

" Yes we have a child together, but that's all,we do have the rest was a mistake, Bellamy. I shouldn’t have let it happen, and I’m not going to let it happen again.”

His words hit her like a slap. She took a deep breath, her mind racing

" Is this because of Leilani, because she's back. " She hissed

“This isn’t about Leilani anymore,” Gustin said sharply, his voice rising.

“This is about you and me. I made a mistake, and I’ve spent every day since trying to fix it.”

“You don’t mean that,” she said, her voice trembling slightly.

“You loved me, Gustin. I know you did.”

Gustin’s expression hardened as he walked around the desk, his movements deliberate as he closed the distance between them.

“What we had wasn’t love, Bellamy. It was a mistake born out of my own selfishness. I was weak, and I let you manipulate me into betraying my wife.”

“Manipulate you?” she scoffed, her anger now boiling over.

“I didn’t manipulate you. You wanted me just as much as I wanted you. You were the one who came back to me, Gustin. Don’t try to rewrite history now just because things didn’t turn out the way you wanted.”

Gustin’s jaw clenched, his hands balling into fists at his sides.

“You know what, you're right,” he said, his voice low

“I did come back. But that doesn’t change the fact that it was wrong. And now, I’m trying to make amends. I’m trying to be a better man for my children.”

" I love Thomas and I want him to get to know his sibling but that doesn't mean I love you"

Bellamy’s heart pounded in her chest. She wasn’t used to this—being rejected, being told she was wrong.

She took a step closer, her hand reaching out to touch his arm, Gustin stepped back, pulling his arm away from her touch as if her very presence repelled him.

“You need to leave, Bellamy.”

“You’re throwing me out?”

She stared at him, her mind struggling to process what he was saying.

“I’m telling you to go,” Gustin said, his voice colder than the artic

“There’s nothing here for you anymore.”

“You’ll regret this,” she hissed, her voice trembling with anger.

“No, Bellamy,” Gustin said quietly.

“I won’t.”

“Get out of my office,” he muttered

“We’re done here.”
