Samuel was somewhat confused.
He stared at Ella in bewilderment, "Why? Have I caused you any trouble?"
He genuinely liked those two children.
Especially Dorian, so talented and gifted, with a photographic memory, able to learn anything instantly.
If he entered the medical field in the future, he would definitely become someone remarkable.
Ella held her breath, so angry that she was breaking out in cold sweat all over, trembling, as if having a hypoglycemic episode.
"Yes, you have caused us a lot of trouble. Anyway, please stay away from them. Pull over and stop the car, I'll take a taxi there myself."
Thinking that the man who forced himself on her four years ago was very likely Samuel.
Ella didn't want to spend another moment with him.
She even wanted to kill him with her own hands.

He refused to stop the car and asked gently, "What did I do to make you feel troubled?"

Samuel was really afraid of hurting her and being unable to explain to Joshua, so he had to pull over.
After Ella got out of the car, she glared at him coldly in warning, "Remember, don't bother my Aurora and Dorian anymore, or I won't let this go."
With a cold expression, she walked away without looking back.
Samuel watched her thin, frail figure and didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
This Ella was really too strange.
How did she suddenly have such anger toward him?
He couldn't quite understand.
But he would still go see those two children.
It was the first time he'd met a medical prodigy like Dorian, and he had to nurture him properly.
Ella took a taxi back to Tranquil Villa.
Knowing that Joshua would be back from his business trip today, she personally went to the master bedroom to change the sheets and bedding.
She also prepared clothes for Joshua to change into.
She had asked Brian, and Joshua would be back in about an hour.
Ella went into the kitchen to prepare dinner herself.
Karen tried to persuade her to rest but couldn't, so she could only help out on the side.
"Why did Mrs. Thomas suddenly think of preparing food for Mr. Thomas?"
Ella didn't answer.
Of course, she wanted to please Joshua so he wouldn't let Samuel have contact with her children anymore.
She wanted to confess to Joshua that she couldn't have children and ask him to divorce her.
After the divorce, she would go to the Thomas Manor and tell the elders the truth.
When the meal was ready, the sound of a car engine came from the entrance.
Soon after, Joshua, dressed in a suit and looking exhausted, pushed the door open.
Ella went up to him, helping him get his slippers and taking off his suit jacket.
Ella's attentiveness made Joshua somewhat uncomfortable.
But he didn't refuse her approach, even though he clearly knew the purpose of her doing this—it must be because of her two illegitimate children.
With a stern face, he went to the bathroom indifferently.
Ella put down the suit jacket and went to arrange the dishes and utensils.
After Joshua came back from the bathroom, she attentively pulled out a chair for him.
Joshua sat down contentedly. Karen brought out the last bowl of pork rib soup, saying with a smile, "You're in for a treat. These dishes today were all made by Mrs. Thomas herself."
Ella sat down across from him and personally served Joshua a piece of pork rib, as if the couple had never had any disagreements and had returned to their previous state of mutual respect.
But Joshua felt uncomfortable. Meeting Ella's gaze, his handsome face was cold and arrogant.
"No need for this pretense. Just tell me what you want."
Ella asked Karen to leave first.
She didn't dare look directly at Joshua. Lowering her head, she told the truth, "It's not that I don't want to have children for you. I've always wanted to, but I can't."
Joshua's expression changed slightly as he stared at her. "What do you mean?"
Ella continued, "When I got pregnant with Aurora and Dorian, I didn't want to keep them at first, but the doctor said if I had an abortion, I wouldn't be able to have children again."
"Later I kept them, but it still damaged my body severely, and I can't get pregnant again."
Joshua fell silent.
His originally cold face suddenly softened considerably.
Looking at Ella, there was even a hint of heartache in his eyes.
So it wasn't that she didn't want to have children, but that she couldn't anymore?
Because her health wasn't good, and afraid that having an abortion would prevent her from being a mother again, she gave birth to Aurora and Dorian?
Joshua ate with his head down, his mood suddenly becoming very complicated.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have hidden Aurora and Dorian's existence from you back then. Can you please not be angry and not stop me from seeing them?"
Ella pleaded in a low voice.
Only by going to Aurora and Dorian every day could she prevent Samuel from getting close.
She would absolutely not let Samuel take her children away from her.
Joshua remained silent.
His dining movements were elegant and composed, and sitting there, he appeared even more steady and dignified.
He knew Ella wouldn't dare lie about this.
After all, they had been husband and wife for a year and had never used protection.
If she could get pregnant, she would have by now.
Thinking about four years ago, he had also had sexual relations with Scarlett. He had no right to demand that others remain chaste for him.

Ella hadn't expected Joshua to be so reasonable.
Just by saying the children weren't hers, he would allow her to be with them forever?

When the children grew up, she would explain everything to them clearly.
Looking at Joshua, Ella nodded in agreement, "Okay, I promise you I won't let anyone know they're mine."
Joshua continued eating. "You can go pick them up tomorrow."
He would try to get along with those two children.
If he really couldn't get along with them and couldn't accept them, after Aiden passed away, he would divorce and let them go.
Ella suddenly felt a surge of emotion in her chest and wanted to cry.
She really hadn't expected that Joshua would not only let her be with the children every day but also let her bring them to live together.
This way she wouldn't have to run back and forth.
Ella gratefully served Joshua more food, saying sincerely, "Thank you. I'll definitely work hard to be a good wife to you from now on."
