Chapter 125
The Thomas Manor.
After Joshua came back, he told Jasper and Ava that the Lewis family's biological daughter was Ella.
Jasper and Ava were shocked and couldn't believe it.
"Could Rhea and the others have been tricked by Ella? Wasn't Ella raised in the countryside since childhood, and only sent to our house by her grandfather when she had nowhere else to go?"
"How did she suddenly become the Lewis family's biological daughter?"
They thought about how Ella was always good at lying.
Since coming back from abroad, she hadn't told a single truth. She must have run out of people to fool at their house, so now she's fooling others.
But Jasper said, "The Lewis family aren't idiots. How could they let Ella trick them? They must have done a paternity test."
Joshua didn't know why Ella had such a bad reputation in Ava's mind.
Thinking of his purpose, he spoke frankly, "Find a time to go to the Lewis family yourself and discuss the marriage alliance."
Since Ella was the Lewis family's daughter, then he would form a marriage alliance with the Lewis family and marry Ella again in grand style.
When Ava heard this, her expression changed instantly, "What did you say? Joshua, you don't want to marry Ella again, do you?"
Joshua didn't deny it, "Yes, I want to marry Ella."
The first time he married Ella, he had tricked her into going to the marriage registration office and got her without giving her anything.
This time, he would give her the best of everything.
"You're crazy."
Ava immediately lost her temper, raising her voice with a firm attitude, "That shameless Ella got pregnant before marriage, no one even knows who the father is, and she made your grandfather so angry he died."
"If you dare marry her, I'll die right in front of you."
Ava really didn't know what was in Joshua's head.
What was so good about Ella that she could seduce him into being so irrational?
Ava was so angry she could spit blood.
Jasper supported her to comfort her, then looked at Joshua and scolded, "Why are you doing this? You can have any woman you want. Ella has already had a child with someone else. If you marry her, wouldn't you be raising someone else's child?"
Joshua lowered his head, repeating the same words, "Didn't I tell you? I love her."
Because of Aurora's death, he felt guilty and wanted to make it up to them, mother and son.
He just didn't know if Ella would give him another chance.
"Love what love? If you want someone young, your parents will find you someone, but not Ella. There's something wrong with everyone in the Lewis family. Stay away from them from now on."
Jasper scolded, "Look how angry you've made your mother. Go call Samuel over to check on her."
Seeing that Ava's complexion was indeed poor, Joshua got up to call Samuel.
After making the call, he tried calling Ella again.
Still couldn't get through.
She had blocked him.
Joshua felt helpless and frustrated. It seemed he could only wait until work to talk to Heath directly.
The Lewis Villa.
Early in the morning, Ella came to Scarlett's room.
After looking around at the layout, she turned her gaze to Scarlett and sneered, "You probably never thought I'd come back alive, did you?"
When she came back, Ella had asked Heath and Rhea. Back then, she got lost when she went out alone with Scarlett.
So her disappearance must have been Scarlett's doing.
After all, she was only four years old at the time, but Scarlett was eight.
An eight-year-old girl definitely knew what she wanted.
Scarlett steadied herself. No matter how much she hated Ella in her heart, she didn't dare confront her openly like before.
She could only act weak, "Ella, I don't know what you're talking about."
"Really?"
Ella stepped closer and said sternly, "If you don't know, that's fine. Then listen carefully. From now on, I will take back everything that belongs to me from you."
"I will make sure you and Mason can't enter the Lewis family, and make you both become rats everyone wants to beat in all of Emerald City."
Ella was provoking Scarlett.
Based on her understanding of Scarlett, she could hold back for a while, but not forever.
Scarlett met her gaze, still feeling intimidated, "Mason is Mom and Dad's only son. Do you really think they'll let you inherit everything from the Lewis family?"
Scarlett didn't believe it.
No matter how much Heath and Rhea loved Ella, they would prioritize the bigger picture.
Ella didn't know anything. How could they just give her the company?
"Then let's wait and see."
Ella straightened up, smiled, turned around and left.
Scarlett glared at her back, gritting her teeth, wanting to throw things around.
But her image in this house was that of a good girl. She absolutely couldn't let Ella get to her.
Once she got pregnant with Mason's child, Heath and Rhea would still give them half the fortune.
After the Lewis family saw off all the guests, only Heath and Rhea, Mason, Ella, Dorian, and Scarlett remained in the dining room.
During the meal, Ella covered her face and wiped away tears.
Dorian pulled her hand sympathetically, "Mom, it's okay. If Scarlett doesn't like us, we'll just leave."
Hearing this and seeing Ella crying, Rhea's heart tightened, and she quickly asked, "Ella, what's wrong?"
Heath was also very concerned, his face immediately becoming serious.
Mason and Scarlett didn't know what had happened and also looked at Ella.
Ella choked up, holding Dorian's hand with red eyes, "This morning I wanted to go to Scarlett's room to apologize for hurting her before, since we're family now."
"But she wouldn't forgive me. She said I came back and took everything from her, and that if it weren't for me, Joshua would have already married her."
"She even called my Dorian a bastard child without a father. Mom, Dad, Mason, maybe you should just let me leave."
Hearing this, Scarlett suddenly stood up, "I didn't."
She quickly shook her head at the elders to explain, "Mom, Dad, that's not true. Ella, she..."
Before Scarlett could finish, Rhea raised her hand and slapped her across the face.
Mason just sat there watching, not stopping her.
Rhea angrily scolded Scarlett, "Would Ella and Dorian lie about you? Scarlett, what do you mean she took everything from you? Tell me, what in this house belongs to you?"
Her precious daughter had finally come back.
She didn't want Scarlett to drive her away again.
If it weren't for Mason, Rhea would have kicked Scarlett out long ago.
"Mom, I really didn't say anything."
Scarlett, having been slapped, looked at Mason pitifully, seeming to want Mason to speak up for her.
But Mason sat there without any reaction, as if she deserved it.
Ella continued crying, "After coming back to this house, I vaguely remembered some things. I recalled that when I was little, it was Scarlett who took me out and handed me to a woman. That woman said she'd take me to buy something good to eat, and then I never saw you again."
Hearing this, Rhea became even angrier.
She couldn't help but slap Scarlett again, "I knew all along it was you who deliberately lost my Ella, yet you kept denying it."
"So you were the one who handed her to human traffickers. You have such a vicious heart."
Heath couldn't help but get angry too, "How could I have raised such an ungrateful creature like you? Get out now, and never step foot in the Lewis family again."
