Chapter 80
Of course Joshua minded Ella's two children.
He had originally thought it would be best if the kids stayed with Michael, but who knew Ella would go so far as to confess everything to Aiden just to be with their father and son, which enraged Aiden to death.
If he hadn't found Aurora, there would have been no way for Ella to stay.
Joshua constantly reminded himself that he kept Ella by his side only to punish her for angering Aiden to death.
It was just to make her pay the price.
Watching Ella sit down alone in a corner, he didn't bother with her and told Mason, "She was raised by the Thomas family, so she should repay that debt."
Mason just smiled.
Did Joshua really just want Ella to repay the Thomas family?
He actually wanted the two of them to stay together forever, never to separate in this lifetime.
That way, Scarlett would stop pining after Joshua.
Scarlett asked the flight attendant for coffee, brought it over and placed it in front of the two men, smiling as she sat down beside them.
"Mason, Joshua, I'm not interrupting, am I?"
The two men said nothing and let her sit.
Leaving Ella alone on the side was actually quite comfortable for her.
She leaned back in her chair with her eyes closed, out of sight, out of mind.
Praying that Aurora would return safely to her side soon.
As long as Aurora came back, she would take both children and leave.
Get away from Joshua and never see him again.
Ella hadn't expected that their business trip would be to Eldoria.
The place where she had come to study four years ago.
Also the place where she gave birth to Aurora and Dorian, and lived with them for two years.
The moment she got off the plane following Joshua and the Lewis family siblings, the familiar environment filled Ella with nostalgia.
Especially everything that happened during those three years was vivid in her mind, as if it had all happened yesterday.
Ella thought that if she hadn't brought Aurora and Dorian back home, perhaps everything would still be the same as before.
She would have preferred it to be like before, never married to Joshua, forgotten by the Thomas family.
She would have stayed in Eldoria alone, working hard and raising her Aurora and Dorian.
But things didn't go as she wished.
She still married Joshua, Aiden died, and Aurora was severely injured.
Knowing that things had come to this and she couldn't change anything, she could only gather her courage to face it.
Ella adjusted her mindset and dragged her luggage behind Joshua.
Scarlett somehow moved close to her and dropped a threat in her ear.
"I'll make you regret coming along."
Ella glanced at her coldly, "What, wasn't that slap I gave you hard enough?"
"You..."
Scarlett was furious, glaring at her with hatred, then flounced forward to deliberately hook her arm through Joshua's.
Ella pretended not to see.
Even if the two of them went to bed together, she wouldn't care.
Such a scumbag of a man, whoever wanted him could have him.
She didn't care.
No one noticed that Mason's expression was very unpleasant.
Especially seeing Scarlett once again disregarding the fact that Joshua had a wife, actively pressing close to Joshua's side.
And Joshua, who had a wife, didn't avoid it.
Those who didn't know would think they were the married couple.
The four walked out of the airport.
Someone had already prepared to greet them up ahead.
The man was also in a suit, young and handsome, with an extraordinary bearing.
The bodyguards and drivers following behind him showed that his power and status were not to be underestimated.
But after seeing the man's face clearly, Ella hesitated and didn't follow.
The man, however, approached Joshua and the others, actively shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries.
After greeting the several of them, the man's gaze passed through Joshua and landed on Ella, smiling slightly.
But he didn't greet Ella publicly. Instead, he enthusiastically ushered Joshua and the others into the car.
As luck would have it, the Lewis family siblings took one car.
Ella rode with Joshua and Zachary Baker from the Baker Group who had come to pick them up.
Zachary sat in the passenger seat, turned back to glance at Ella, but still didn't speak to her. When he looked at Joshua, he exchanged a few more pleasantries.
"Mr. Thomas, I hope this trip will satisfy you. Whether we can ultimately cooperate doesn't matter - let's just consider it making a friend."
After Zachary finished speaking, he openly looked at Ella and asked, "Is this Mr. Thomas's secretary? Won't you introduce yourself?"
Joshua glanced at Ella and casually replied, "No need to mind her."
"How can I not mind? All visitors are guests, all are my honored guests."
Zachary actively extended his hand, smiling at Ella, "Hello, I'm Zachary, from the Baker family."
Ella felt a bit guilty.
Of course she knew he was from the Baker family.
Rich, good-looking, witty and humorous, gentle with people.
He was also a senior she had met while studying here.
He had even pursued her for three years.
If Ella hadn't returned home, perhaps he still wouldn't have given up.
She hadn't expected that Joshua would bring her on a business trip that happened to be to negotiate a partnership with the Baker family.
What were the odds?
Well, since it happened, should she come clean to Joshua?
Thinking that if she kept it hidden and Joshua found out someday, he might hurt Aurora again.
Ella decided to be honest, "Hello Zachary, we meet again."
However, her proactive confession stunned both men.
Especially Joshua, whose suspicious gaze fixed on Ella, as if asking how she could know Zachary.
Ella understood what he was thinking and honestly explained, "I studied abroad here before, and Zachary was a popular figure at our school."
Hearing this, Zachary laughed heartily.
"I thought you were going to pretend not to know me. Looks like we really have quite the connection - we separated just a year ago and now we meet again."
Ella smiled faintly without speaking.
Because she noticed Joshua's expression had already turned very ugly, as if a volcano was about to erupt.
Afraid he would get angry and take it out on Aurora again, she could only use her eyes to signal Zachary not to talk to her anymore.
Zachary seemed to sense something was wrong and could only continue conversing with Joshua.
When they arrived at the hotel and were being shown to the presidential suite, Zachary moved close to Ella and dropped a line, "The usual place, I'll wait for you there."
But Joshua overheard this.
After Zachary left and the Lewis family siblings had entered another room.
Joshua grabbed Ella and violently pinned her against the wall, his eyes bloodshot with rage.
"Ella, will you die without men around you? Do you just love seducing men that much?"
Joshua thought his self-control was strong enough, and being older, he could be tolerant and accommodating toward Ella.
But sometimes he really couldn't tolerate what she did.
She could even hook up with Zachary from the Baker family and Michael from the Johnson family - what else didn't he know about?
Joshua was so angry his chest felt like it would explode.
Ella was restrained by him, unable to move.
Thinking of how he and Scarlett had been all lovey-dovey the whole way here.
She refused to back down and confronted Joshua.
"You can have other women by your side, but I can't know a few male friends? Joshua, don't be such a hypocrite."
