Chapter 119
Mason thought Zachary was the children's father and that Ella liked Zachary.
Thinking about taking Ella home, he was being pretty polite to Zachary at the moment, his expression mild, "Is Ella here? I'm here to pick her and the kid up."
Zachary didn't say anything, just stepped aside to let him in.
Once inside, Mason saw Ella and Dorian sitting in the living room.
He thought about how everyone at home was waiting for them to come back.
With them there, the family wouldn't have extra energy to interfere with him and Scarlett.
Mason walked toward them, his attitude completely changed, his voice gentle as he asked, "Ella, will you come back to the Lewis family with me? I told Mom and Dad about you, and they're all waiting for me to bring you home."
Ella looked at him, her face expressionless.
If she wasn't thinking about revenge, about making Scarlett pay, just based on what Mason did to her before, forcing her to kowtow to Scarlett on the ground, she would never acknowledge him.
Much less forgive him.
But she needed to settle the score with Scarlett.
Now that Scarlett's wedding to Joshua was canceled, she could only use Mason and the Lewis family to get back at Scarlett.
Ella asked, "What about Scarlett? You know she and I can't stand each other. If you take me back, what happens to her?"
Mason explained, "I know you don't want to see Scarlett. I can arrange for her to live somewhere else, okay?"
"Somewhere else? Will she be okay with that?"
Mason nodded, "She will be. As long as you bring Dorian back with me to meet Mom and Dad, forget having Scarlett live somewhere else—I'd even send her abroad if needed."
He knew very well that Scarlett also hated Ella.
After all, Ella had hurt her before.
The two women definitely couldn't get along peacefully.
The only solution was for Ella to live at the Lewis family home while Scarlett lived somewhere else with him.
After thinking for a while, Ella asked again, "You hurt me so badly before. If I just go back with you like this, doesn't that make me look spineless?"
She had to make Mason feel guilty toward her.
That way, whatever she did in the future, she could use Mason.
After all, Ella had heard that the reason Scarlett was treated so well was all because of Mason.
Mason spoiled Scarlett rotten.
So she had to steal this brotherly love away from Scarlett.
"I'm sorry!"
Thinking about how cruel he'd been to Ella before, Mason felt guilty.
Looking at Ella, his eyes filled with regret, "It was my fault. As long as you're willing to come home with me, I'll make it up to you double from now on."
Ella waved her hand, "I don't need you to make it up to me. Just promise me that from now on, whenever I need you, you have to come right away and do whatever I ask, no questions asked."
With Scarlett not marrying Joshua, there would definitely be many situations where she'd need to use Mason.
Ella wasn't in a hurry. She would torture Scarlett slowly.
Once she drove Scarlett crazy enough to show her true colors, then she'd send her to prison.
Mason didn't expect Ella to be so reasonable.
He nodded without hesitation, "Okay, as long as you're willing to bring Dorian home with me, I'll do whatever you ask from now on."
Satisfied, Ella took Dorian's hand and pointed at Mason, teaching him, "Dorian, this is your uncle. Shall we go with him to meet your grandparents?"
Dorian glared at Mason angrily, asking with some confusion, "Mommy, wasn't he working with that bad woman before? Why are we going with him? I don't like him."
Although he hadn't interacted much with Mason, he just couldn't bring himself to like Mason.
He felt Mason was just as bad as Joshua.
Mason's heart stung. He quickly said to Dorian, "Dorian, I was wrong before. I know I messed up. Come home with your mom and give me a chance to make it up to you both, okay?"
Dorian pouted, hesitating.
Ella reminded him, "Don't you want to meet your grandparents? I hit Grandma with my car before. Let's go see if she's okay."
Only then did Dorian reluctantly agree, "Fine."
He stepped forward, ordering Mason with his chin up, "Well, hurry up and carry me. I'm not walking by myself."
Mason snapped to attention, holding him in his arms and making way for Ella, "Ella, after you."
Ella stood up and followed, glancing at Zachary and saying quietly, "You can come find me at the Lewis Villa too."
Zachary knew exactly what Ella's goal was.
She was going back just to make Scarlett reveal her true nature.
He happened to be going back to the country these days to handle some company business. Once he was done, he'd go to the Lewis family to meet Ella's parents.
Then propose.
Zachary personally saw Ella and Dorian into Mason's car.
On the way to the Lewis Villa, Ella realized that if Scarlett lived somewhere else, how would they even interact?
She needed to get Scarlett back to the Lewis Villa.
Looking at Mason driving, Ella said, "I've been thinking, Scarlett is pretty pitiful too. She's never had parents growing up. You, Mom, and Dad are her only family."
"It really wouldn't be right to make her live alone somewhere else. How about this—you let her come back to the Lewis Villa. I won't mind her being there."
Mason hesitated.
It wasn't that he didn't want Scarlett back at the Lewis Villa.
He was afraid that once she came back, the family wouldn't let her off easy.
After all, he'd come clean to the family about him and Scarlett.
To avoid unnecessary trouble, Mason refused, "No need. Scarlett's used to living on her own. Just let her stay somewhere else!"
That way it would also be more convenient when he went to see Scarlett.
Ella insisted, "If you don't let Scarlett come home, then I'm not going back with you. Call Scarlett right now in front of me and tell her to wait at home."
Mason looked at Ella through the rearview mirror.
He didn't know why she was suddenly being so generous.
Afraid Ella really wouldn't go home with him over this and he wouldn't be able to explain it to the family, he had no choice but to take out his phone and call Scarlett.
Ella reminded him, "Put it on speaker."
Mason had to comply. The call connected, and Scarlett's whining voice came through, "Did you tell Mom and Dad about us? Do you know all our relatives just messaged me cursing me out?"
"Mason, are you trying to drive me to death?"
Mason was silent for half a second, then got straight to the point, "Scarlett, come back to the Lewis Villa right now."
Scarlett cried out, "If I go back now, won't Mom and Dad beat me to death? They definitely won't want me as their daughter anymore. It's all your fault, Mason. I hate you so much."
Mason endured her anger, saying patiently, "Don't worry, I'll protect you. But can you come back to the Lewis Villa now?"
"No, I'm scared to see the way Mom and Dad look at me, scared of relatives calling me shameless. The whole internet is talking about Joshua calling off our wedding."
Scarlett still couldn't accept that in one day, she'd gone from being the center of attention to being the target of everyone's scorn.
She shouted into the phone with hatred, "Mason, if you hadn't sent that video of us having sex to Joshua, none of this would have happened."
Hearing this, Ella was shocked.
Scarlett and Mason had sex?
The siblings actually...
Was that why Joshua called off the wedding?
Ella wanted to hear more, but Mason hung up the phone in shame and explained to her, "I like Scarlett. I didn't want her to marry Joshua, so I did something extreme."
"Ella, why don't you give Scarlett some time? I'll bring her back to the Lewis Villa in a few days."
