Chapter 177 The Galaxy Restaurant Built for Emma
"Wonderful! I have to tell Mr. Harrison!"
Unit 001 continued its celebration dance, tiny hands and feet waving about in excitement.
Emma stared at the seven medical test results projected on the screen, her face pale.
[1. Early pregnancy - 5 weeks, hCG: 435]
[2. Moderate anemia, hemoglobin: 71g/L]
...
Unit 001 continued its celebration dance, tiny hands and feet flailing about in excitement.
FD kept squealing, "Mr. Harrison has a baby!"
"I have a little master!"
Emma snapped back to reality, jumping forward to clamp her hands over its mouth. "Shut up! Stop broadcasting this!"
But the sound kept coming—the audio wasn't generated from its mouth at all.
"Still talking? Quiet! I'll dismantle you!"
Just then, the office door opened and Charlie walked in, finding Emma wrestling with FD, her hands still covering its mouth.
The scene looked oddly familiar...
"Wow wow, I'm so excited, today is such a special day!"
The electronic voice continued echoing. Charlie rushed over and pressed a small blue light on FD's back.
Finally, FD's voice stopped, its little hands and feet freezing mid-dance as it entered sleep mode.
Emma fell onto the sofa, exhaling heavily in relief.
''Mrs. Harrison, what happened? Why were you fighting with Unit 001?"
Charlie looked confused. He wouldn't have dared burst in if he hadn't heard the commotion outside.
"This thing has a bug—spouting nonsense. Nearly gave me a heart attack."
Emma took another deep breath, couldn't help herself from flicking its little face once more.
FD: [001's diagnostics are highly accurate. I'm being wrongfully accused...]
Charlie paused, clearly skeptical. "Unit 001 is usually very precise. How could it malfunction today?"
"Um, where do its test results get sent?" She quickly changed the subject.
''Unit 001 is synced to Mr. Harrison's email. Results generate in five minutes and send directly to him."
Charlie answered truthfully.
Emma's heart skipped. She probed carefully, "As his assistant, you manage Nicholas's emails, right?"
Charlie nodded. "That's correct."
"Go get the tablet. I need to see what garbage it just transmitted."
Charlie left and returned a minute later with a tablet.
Opening the email showed a list of unread messages.
Emma grabbed it, quickly locating and deleting FD's report, then emptying the trash for good measure.
Finally, she breathed easier.
"I deleted it. Don't let Nicholas see this—he'd have a coronary, and I'm fresh out of life-saving medication."
Emma handed the tablet back with exaggerated drama.
What she didn't know was that while the emails were cleared, all data remained stored in Harrison Group's massive cloud system, reviewed by engineers every two months before final deletion.
Charlie, ever honest, nodded. "Don't worry, I won't mention it to Mr. Harrison."
"How do I clear its memory? I need to fix this bug," Emma asked.
"Your computer access can directly enter Unit 001's memory modules," Charlie explained.
"Perfect. You can go—I'll handle this."
Emma placed Unit 001 on the sofa and picked up a pastry, taking a bite.
"These are delicious."
She returned to the computer, her fingers flying across the keyboard.
Nicholas, watching through his monitor, saw her dive back into work while Unit 001 lay motionless on the couch.
Had she broken it? Useless piece of tech!
Darkness fell before Emma finally stopped working. She stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows with a cup of floral tea, gazing out at the city's dazzling lights and endless traffic.
Her hand instinctively moved to her still-flat stomach.
That night of passion, his burning touch—it all still felt imprinted on her body.
Simultaneously, the image of him embracing Zoe at the restaurant pierced her heart like a thorn, leaving her chest tight with pain.
This baby couldn't have come at a worse time.
Yet the thought of giving it up made her heart clench—she couldn't bear it. She simply couldn't.
Her mind waged an internal war: keep the baby or not?
Leaving Harrison Group Tower, the cold wind hit her as she pulled her coat tighter.
A black Maybach sat quietly by the curb, Nicholas leaning against it.
He held a cigarette between his fingers, smoke curling around his striking features, lending him an air of brooding magnetism.
Passing Harrison Group employees—both men and women—found their gazes magnetically drawn to him, stealing glances as they walked by, utterly mesmerized.
Emma looked down, pretending not to notice, walking straight to the curb to hail a taxi.
Footsteps approached from behind.
He extinguished his cigarette, his tall frame blocking her path.
"Want me to carry you to the car?" His voice was low, carrying an undertone of undeniable authority.
Emma froze, looking up into his dark eyes. Finally, she pressed her lips together and opened the rear door, sliding inside.
The car started smoothly.
He stared ahead, maintaining his aloof CEO demeanor as he spoke deliberately.
"Don't misunderstand. I'm driving you home purely as Harrison Group's CEO showing respect to Dr. N."
"After all, you're solving our technical difficulties without receiving a penny in compensation."
His words sounded so official, so businesslike, that she couldn't find a reason to object.
"Then thank you, Mr. Harrison."
She matched his tone—polite and distant.
The car wove through downtown traffic, neon lights streaking past the windows.
Exhaustion washed over her. She leaned against the window, her eyelids growing heavy until she drifted off.
The man beside her moved gently, his warm hand sliding over her shoulder, drawing her small frame into his broad embrace.
Her hair's faint fragrance filled his nostrils, instantly intoxicating his quiet heart.
Soon, the car stopped in front of Galaxy Restaurant.
Tonight, the entire place had been cleared.
Every flower, every star here bloomed solely for her.
"Emma, wake up." He gently patted her shoulder, worried she might be hungry.
"Nicholas, don't die..."
She seemed trapped in a nightmare, unconsciously murmuring, her long lashes trembling restlessly.
Nicholas froze, his heart lurching violently. He tightened his arms, holding her closer, pressing kiss after kiss to her soft hair.
This was the person carved into his very soul—he would never let go again.
Around nine PM, Emma finally woke.
She found herself lying on an incredibly soft chaise lounge, covered by a man's suit jacket.
That familiar scent—crisp wood mixed with a hint of tobacco—invaded her senses dominantly.
She sat up, pushed through the door in front of her, and stepped outside.
The next second, she was completely stunned.
Before her stretched a vast, magnificent blue starry sky.
Against the deep blue canopy, brilliant star clusters flowed slowly, countless stars twinkling with light while wispy clouds drifted ethereally through the space, the entire scene breathtakingly dynamic.
She felt like she could reach up and pluck the stars from heaven.
Nicholas approached from the brightest light source, carrying a large bouquet of white lilies.
Against the stellar backdrop, his face was almost surreally handsome.
He pressed the flowers into her arms, his warm fingertips brushing her hands.
"Hungry?" His voice was gentle, tinged with amusement. "I had the kitchen prepare dinner."
She clutched the flowers, her mind still reeling.
Looking up at the unreal starscape, then back at him.
"This is Galaxy Restaurant?"
He smiled.
He rarely smiled like this—relaxed and warm, with an irresistible tenderness in his eyes.
"That's right. This is Galaxy Restaurant, built specifically for Emma."
"Here, you can reach any star you want. They all belong to you."
This time, he spoke every word clearly and deliberately.
He didn't want another misunderstanding like the Dreamy Garden incident.
"Built for me? Galaxy Restaurant?"
Disbelief was written all over her face. But Zoe had said...
"Exactly. Named after your name, Stella—Galaxy Restaurant. Charlie handled the registration. The restaurant is under your name."
He gazed at her, his eyes brimming with undeniable love.
Emma stared at him, her mouth slightly open in shock.
She suddenly remembered his words in Luminous City—that night, that proposal feast had been prepared for her.
His magnetic voice continued, "In Luminous City, you said you wanted the stars. I owed you that. Now I'm making good on my debt."
She felt something hit her heart—gentle but profound—leaving her entire body tingling.
He placed her bouquet on a nearby table, then extended his hand to her.
"Now, in my capacity as Harrison Group's CEO, I formally invite Dr. N to journey through the stars with me."
Taking her hand, he led her to a circular platform in the restaurant's center.
The moment she steadied herself, the round platform began moving—silently rising upward.
Simultaneously, the starry canopy above started descending slowly.
She was getting closer and closer to those stars.
Stars twinkled, clouds moved—it was dynamic, alive, magnificent.
The universe's grandeur compressed into this single space, washing over her with stunning visual impact.
She was too overwhelmed to speak.
Instinctively reaching out, her fingertips came within a meter of the nearest star.
They were so bright, so dazzling—she could almost touch them.
Suddenly, an arm encircled her waist, and her feet left the ground.
He lifted her entire body, his arms powerful as he raised her high above his head.
The gesture resembled him lifting his entire world.
"Go ahead, touch it." His voice was right by her ear—low, hypnotically compelling.
Her perspective instantly elevated. Reaching out, her fingertips finally made contact with a star.
The texture was cool and solid.
Curious, she traced the star's surface with her finger.
Blue starlight flowed down from her fingertip, cascading over both their bodies, bathing them in a dreamlike stellar glow.
The scene was impossibly beautiful.
She looked down at him, her lips curving upward more brilliantly than starlight.
He gazed up at her, his eyes holding no stars—only her.
That look was focused and devoted, brimming with love ready to overflow.
His arm muscles were taut from the effort, radiating masculine strength, yet his expression watching her was impossibly tender.
One gesture, one glance.
Full of love.
Not far away, Charlie peeked out, phone in hand, capturing several shots.
In that moment, Emma made a decision in her heart...
