Chapter 104 – The Lonely Barry
After searching for water, Angela did not say anything else and savagely poured the antidote into Barry’s mouth.
“Swallow it quickly.”
After taking the medicine which much difficulty, Barry’s focus slowly turned towards Angela.
He laughed like the rising sun, “Angela?”
“Fortunately, you’re fine.” Angela patted his chest and exhaled. “Big Brother, you’re scaring me to death.”
Barry’s slightly sorrowful eyes gradually softened and became warm as they gently locked onto Angela’s small, tender face.
Beneath the starry sky, a smile of deep love blossomed.
Barry cracked a faint smile. “Angela knows how to take care of people.”
It’s not easy!
In her memory, it was him taking care of her, this little fool.
“Of course.” Angela sniffed.
Barry slowly shifted his gaze, his expression complex.
To him, the existence of being mischievous was in irony.
“Big Brother, don’t drink anymore!” Angela probed Barry’s forehead in passing, “Fortunately, I don’t have a fever.”
Just as she was about to pull her hand back, Barry gently grabbed her.
“Huh?” Angela looked at Barry in shock, “Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere else?”
Barry shook his head, and stared deeply at Angela’s eyes.
As Barry’s gaze met hers, Angela’s heart skipped a beat and become silent.
She saw loneliness in Barry’s eyes.
“If you need anything in the future, come find me.” Barry’s voice was soft, as he was afraid of scaring her. “Angela, how matter the world is changes, Big Brother will always be Angela’s big brother.”
“Yes, I know.” Angela answered obediently.
Barry slowly smiled.
“What does Big Brother want to say?” Angela turned on the lights on the deck on the same time and stared at Barry who was just about to say something.
After ponding for a long time, Barry finally smiled and shook his head, “Nothing.”
Barry’s mental state suddenly changed, and he heaved a sigh of relief.
“Don’t blame Second Brother for what happened today.” A faint helplessness surfaced in Barry’s black eyes. “Perhaps, we really have no fate.”
“You’re still speaking up for him?” Angela clenched her teeth and her eyes opened wide, “It’s obviously his problem.”
Thinking about how Oliver was so proud of being a father, but Barry could only drink at home, the balance in Angela’s heart unknowingly titled toward Barry.
When Angela walked out of Barry’s small courtyard, it was already deep in the night. She silently looked back at the second floor. In a place with no lights, there seemed to be a melancholy and warmth coming from Barry.
Angela scratched her head in annoyance.
It was Oliver who deprived Barry of his happiness and warmth.
Seeing the house from afar, bright as day, with the big door open, Angela felt relieved.
It seemed that Oliver, that old fogey who didn’t have any interest in shopping, had showed some sincerity when he said that he was still not back yet.
“Secretary Angela is back.” Uncle Nang welcomed her happily, “Quickly go to the second floor and sleep.”
“Thank you, Uncle Nang.” In the face of Uncle Nang’s usual enthusiasm, Angela could only let out a hollow laugh.
Fortunately, the Second Young Master hadn’t come back yet. The one guarding the door was Uncle Nang or else she would probably be interrogated.
Although she felt that Oliver didn’t have the authority to interrogate her.
“Secretary Angela, slow down.” Uncle Nang was concerned, “Safety is important.”
“Alright.” Angela replied with a smile.
With her identity as a misfit confirmed by the Hu Family, her treatment was indeed a little different.
Seeing that Uncle Nang’s tone was a little different, there was always a little more respect.
Angela slipped away and went up to the second floor as fast as he could, jogging towards her room.
As she walked past the door of the master bedroom, she was met with darkness. A slender arm blocked her way.
Angela’s heart thumped. She never thought that Oliver would actually bring the mischievous child back first.
It was already so late, and only peace mattered now. Angela smiled faintly, “Good night!”
“Good night!” Oliver’s slightly cold voice came from above her head, “Secretary Angela, do you know what time it is? Did you know that Tom came back to look for you everywhere? Did you know that he got tired of searching and finally couldn’t open his eyes to sleep.”
“I’m back now, aren’t I?” Angela raised his hand to push his arm.
“Secretary Angela, our son is already this old. It’s best to pay attention to his words and deeds.” Oliver seemed to be holding back his anger, “Here in villa isn’t all my people, when the rumors start to spread, I might not be able to stop them.”
“Rumors?” Angela was furious.
Of course she knew what the rumors were.
“Why don’t you just warn me directly and end my friendship with Barry in the future?” She said angrily.
Oliver focused on her little face, which was flushed red with anger.
He softly said, “Idiot!”
She suddenly approached him in a strange manner. “Don’t you dare tell me you’re jealous?”
“Jealous?” He leered at her. “It’s a terrible thing to say.”
“The word of a person should be feared?” Angela instantly turned small, like a hedgehog, “Oliver, when I endured the words of others, I was fearsome enough to give birth to mischievous animals, you were still living abroad.”
“Secretary Angela!” Oliver’s tone was extremely serious, to the point that she could not choose to speak properly.
“When people called me shameless, you had no idea that there was a woman who was humiliated because of you.” She stubbornly raised her head and looked Oliver in the eyes, “Don’t be mean to me, what right do you have to be mean to me?”
Angela suddenly froze.
In front of him, light was flowing within Oliver’s starry eyes, and her handsome face seemed even more enigmatic and unfathomable.
Furthermore, Angela strangely felt that he was looking at her with a complicated gaze, and was slightly apologetic.
Would the CEO of Golden Group apologize? Or she must have been mistaken.
After a moment he said, “I’m sorry.”
Oliver’s voice was hoarse and it was accompanied by a deadly sexy tone, “But no matter what, I’m very happy today.”
Angela gritted his teeth as he stared at the ceiling.
Of course he was happy, which man wouldn’t be happy when a brilliant and beautiful son suddenly appeared?
The one who was unhappy was Barry who had nothing.
Thinking about the lonely Barry, Angela’s heart stopped. She couldn’t help but add a little sin to Oliver’s sin.
