Chapter 133
Why should she ruin Michael's important business?
With burning eyes, Nora left and numbly walked toward her room.
What was she upset about?
What exactly was she upset about?
Six years ago, when Evelyn brought James to the hotel to catch her cheating, when James didn't trust her, she didn't seem this upset.
All those feelings of inferiority, helplessness, and fear came crashing down at once.
The moment Aria exposed her feelings and said she liked Michael, she panicked.
She was afraid of others discovering her feelings.
Especially Michael.
She couldn't let Michael know.
Her liking of Michael was like tainting him.
"Nora, don't make yourself a joke again."
A joke. She was just a joke.
Just because Michael was different from others, she foolishly let herself fall for him.
So disgusting. Nora found herself disgusted.
She should look in the mirror.
See if she was worthy or not.
Entering her room, Nora tried hard to stay clear-headed, but it seemed she was having another episode.
Her limbs began to stiffen, and her breathing became difficult.
Nora hid in the bathroom, turned on the shower, and kept washing herself. She felt dirty, so dirty, so she didn't deserve anyone.
Anxiously biting her lip, she bit through it without realizing.
How could she like Michael? She didn't.
Urgent knocking came from outside the door.
Nora thought she was hearing things. She turned off the shower, wrapped herself in a towel, and stiffly walked out.
"Open the door."
Outside the door was Michael's voice, with a hint of irritation and anger.
Nora opened the door in panic, momentarily forgetting she was soaking wet.
As soon as the door opened a crack, Michael stumbled in, falling against Nora.
Nora frantically supported Michael, smelling a strong scent of blood on him.
"Mr. Smith, what happened to you?" Nora lifted her hand. It was covered in blood.
"Michael." Nora cried in fright, looking at Michael sitting on the floor, anxiously checking for wounds.
"It's fine, just cut my palm." Michael's consciousness was a bit unclear, but he still heard Nora crying in fear.
Hearing her voice, Michael finally relaxed.
To stay conscious, he had cut his palm with glass shards from a cup. "Nora."
"I'm here." Nora cried while helping him treat the wound.
"Docking you a month's salary, how could you leave your boss behind?" Michael had come with anger, but seeing Nora crying so hard, he instantly lost his temper.
"I'll take you to the hospital." Nora could tell something was wrong with Michael. This definitely wasn't just being drunk.
Michael gripped his injured hand tightly, trying hard to stay conscious. "Something was wrong with the drink."
Nora cried anxiously, getting up at a loss, wanting to change clothes and take Michael to the hospital.
How could this happen? How did Michael get hurt?
But just as she was about to get up, Michael suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms, holding her tight.
Clearly, Michael had lost his rationality.
"Mr. Smith." Nora was terrified, trembling all over.
Only then did she realize she was only wrapped in a towel.
Her face turned pale as she tried to push Michael away, her hands shaking with fear.
Would Michael think she did this on purpose...
"Don't move." Michael's voice was hoarse as he tried his best to control himself. "I feel terrible."
Nora didn't dare move, her heart racing.
Was it her imagination? She rejected all men, but with Michael in such an intimate position, she didn't feel resistant.
"I feel terrible," Michael said in a hoarse voice, holding Nora tighter and tighter.
Nora's heart skipped a beat She actually felt sorry for him. "Tonight's drink..."
Feeling Michael's burning breath, Nora finally understood. There was definitely something wrong with that drink.
"Why did you run?" Michael had lost his rationality and kissed Nora, holding her head.
He must have really lost control. On Nora, Michael smelled that familiar scent, exactly the same as six years ago.
Nora didn't dare move, tears streaming down hot.
She desperately tried to push Michael away. She was scared.
"I feel so terrible." But when Michael buried his head in her neck, his voice hoarse and pained, Nora somehow raised her hand and hugged him back.
She was dirty, didn't deserve Michael.
But this was the only value she had left.
She owed Michael so much. How could she repay him?
Just help him this once.
Her fingers trembling as she actively loosened Michael's tie, Nora felt she had gone crazy, too.
She must have really gone crazy.
Michael leaned against the wall, looking at Nora with burning eyes, then suddenly stood up and lifted her with one arm.
Nora screamed in fright, clinging desperately to Michael, her body shaking constantly.
Michael tried to kiss Nora, but she dodged.
"Dirty." Nora's voice was hoarse, trembling as she unbuttoned his shirt. "Let's just have sex."
"You're not allowed to run again." Michael dominantly trapped Nora and kissed her. "Ran away for six years?"
Nora couldn't control her tears, wanting to escape in fear.
She knew Michael wasn't talking about her. He meant Aria.
Should she call Aria instead?
"It's not me." Nora cried hard, but she couldn't push Michael away at all.
Seeing Nora crying constantly, Michael comforted her by holding her in his arms. "We're legal."
Nora's body suddenly stiffened, looking at Michael in shock.
Did she hear wrong, or was she overthinking?
She must be overthinking.
Suddenly pressed against the wall, Nora's back was so cold from the wall that she instinctively moved toward Michael.
Michael took the opportunity to kiss her neck and pulled off the towel.
Now Nora's face turned completely red.
Although she had given birth to Samuel, Nora had no experience with sex at all.
She rejected men so much that her body would stiffen when anyone got close.
She didn't know how to please men at all.
Savannah said she should learn how to please men, but she couldn't do it.
Facing Michael, Nora suddenly panicked.
Would he find her disgusting?
When Michael woke up tomorrow, would he hate her to death?
Would he be disgusted with her?
Would he immediately end the contract and kick her out of the Smith Group?
Nora was very scared, but her body seemed completely out of her control.
That feeling of actively wanting to respond to Michael made Nora break down. She wasn't that kind of person.
She kept crying in fear.
She was afraid Michael would hate her, think she was dirty, think she was too loose.
But she couldn't control herself.
Michael, in his loss of control, didn't care about Nora at all, letting her cry until her voice was hoarse.
Clearly, this encounter wasn't a beautiful memory for Nora either.
It went on until late into the night before Michael finally let her go.
Nora felt like she was dying, her heart racing, panicking.
What should she do?
Tomorrow, how would she face Michael?
Run away.
A voice in her head was telling Nora to run away.
Pretend nothing happened.
Run.
Michael definitely won't remember anything when he wakes up tomorrow. As long as she runs away and pretends nothing happened.
Trembling as she tried to sit up, Nora found she had absolutely no strength left in her body.
Carefully climbing down from the bed, Nora picked up the clothes from the floor and fled the hotel in panic, hiding in the garden pavilion behind the hotel, curled up all night.
