Chapter 159

Chapter 159

Joseph was scared to tears, trembling as he looked at Michael, "Uncle Michael."

"Come here," Michael's voice was low and deep.

Nora held Samuel, watching Michael nervously.

With that posture, was he going to eat the kid alive?

Joseph started crying in fear.

"Apologize!" Michael lifted Joseph up and held him in front of Samuel.

Joseph looked like a little girl. Before kindergarten, he was as chubby as a little pig. Though he wasn't exactly thin now, he looked fairly delicate.

"I'm sorry," Joseph was afraid of Michael and listened to him most. He cried so hard he got the hiccups.

Samuel snorted and hid in Nora's arms, refusing to forgive him.

Joseph cried even harder.

"Keep apologizing until Samuel forgives you," Michael held Joseph with one hand, not planning to let his feet touch the ground.

Michael grabbed Joseph's little overalls in his hand, making him look like he was stuffed in a cloth bag. It was quite comical.

Nora couldn't help but laugh, speaking softly, "Mr. Smith, he's just a kid. Don't scare him."

Joseph nodded vigorously, "Uncle Michael, I'm still a kid."

"If kids don't get punished for their mistakes, it'll be too late when something serious happens," Michael said seriously, lifting Joseph a bit, "Apologize!"

Today, even if Veda came, he would make sure Joseph learned his lesson.

"Samuel, I know I was wrong," Joseph cried and begged for mercy.

Samuel glanced back at Joseph, feeling a bit soft-hearted.

Joseph's nose was running with bubbles.

But Joseph had bullied him many times. Samuel didn't want to forgive him.

"Where exactly were you wrong?" Michael asked.

Joseph looked confused, his nose still bubbling.

He had no idea where he was wrong.

Veda said Samuel's mom was a thief, so he thought Samuel was a thief too.

Veda said Samuel was a wild child with no father, so he said Samuel was a wild child with no father, "But Mom said so."

Could what Veda said be wrong?

"You're not a one or two-year-old anymore. You need to be able to tell right from wrong. Is everything your mom says definitely right?" Michael frowned as he lectured, and because of his germaphobia, he was disgusted by Joseph's runny nose.

He unconsciously held Joseph's hand farther away.

His arm strength was really strong, he just held Joseph with one hand like that, making him reflect on himself.

Joseph lowered his head and spoke timidly, "Mom said Samuel is a wild child with no father."

"Didn't you hear him call me Dad?" Michael's face darkened.

Joseph cried again, "I'm sorry."

"Apologize to Samuel."

Putting Joseph in front of Samuel, Michael warned him.

"Samuel, will you forgive me? I won't bully you anymore," Joseph said in a sweet childlike voice.

"If you bully me again, I'll hit you," Samuel gave Joseph a warning first.

If there was a next time, he would take action.

Clea said when you can use your fists, don't argue with them.

"No, it really hurts when you hit," Joseph was about to cry again.

"If you cry again, I'll hit you," Samuel threatened Joseph.

Joseph didn't dare cry anymore.

"Joseph!" Over there, Veda came to pick up Joseph. Seeing Michael there, her heart jumped to her throat, "Michael..."

Joseph glanced at Michael fearfully, not daring to go to Veda.

"If you can't teach properly, don't teach at all," Michael frowned as he reminded Veda.

Veda lowered her head, not daring to talk back to Michael.

"Michael, are you taking Nora and that little bastard..." Veda gasped, feeling a chill on her back, "Taking them back to the Smith Villa?"

"Do you have a problem with that?" Michael asked coldly.

"No problem," Veda said quietly with a gloomy face. After Michael got in the car with Samuel and Nora, she scolded Joseph in a low voice, "Why are you just like your father, so useless."

Joseph timidly lowered his head and said softly, "Mom, you were wrong. Samuel isn't a wild child with no father. He has a father. Uncle Michael said he is Samuel's father."

"What do you know! You believe an outsider instead of your mom?" Veda was irritated, obviously having too many worries to deal with.

"Uncle Michael isn't an outsider," Joseph muttered quietly.

Although he was afraid of Michael, he knew Michael was also part of the Smith family, not an outsider.

"What do you know! He is an outsider! Only James is your real uncle. He won't be good to you. He looks down on you because of your useless, disappointing father. That's why he looks down on us!" Veda was losing control, grabbing Joseph and getting in the car.

Covering her forehead with her hand, Veda's emotions were very unstable, "Call your dad and tell him you're sick."

All these years, she desperately tried to use the child to tie down Mason.

But time after time, Mason didn't care about anything anymore.

He didn't care about her, and even less about Joseph.

When Mason got upset outside, he came home and took it out on her and Joseph.

Unable to divorce, he gave them the cold shoulder.

Veda was about to be driven crazy by Mason.

"Mom, why do you always make me lie?" Joseph looked at Veda fearfully.

"Who told you to lie! What's wrong with lying? Can't you be more useful? Why are you so useless? What's wrong with saying you're sick! What's wrong with getting your dad to come home and care about us more! Am I wrong!" Veda shouted frantically.

Joseph was so scared he cried in the corner.

"Stop crying! Your dad doesn't want us anymore!" Veda shouted irritably.

To control Mason, she gave birth to Joseph against everyone's objections.

She didn't even care about her dignity anymore.

But Mason just trampled on her pride like that!

"He has another woman outside!" Veda said in a muffled voice.

Over the years, Mason had countless mistresses outside, all of them dancers.

Did he really think she didn't know what Mason was thinking?

He just couldn't forget Nora!

Tonight's family dinner, Mason originally used the excuse of being busy at work to not return to the Smith Villa. But as soon as he heard Nora was coming, he instantly changed his tune and for once wanted to attend the family dinner!

How ironic.

The power of first love was really something.

Her eyes darkened deeply. Veda resented Nora even more.

Back in school, to ruin Nora's performance opportunity, she had put razor blades in Nora's pointe shoes. Even when blood soaked through the shoe surface, she persisted and finished the entire dance.

Originally, she wanted to destroy Nora, but by some twist of fate, it made her gain everyone's recognition instead.

And Mason, at that time, also buried Nora deep in his heart.

The Smith family dinner.

When Michael brought Nora holding Samuel through the door, the Smith family servants' jaws dropped one by one.

My God, Nora was such a slut, she'd already hooked up with Michael.

"Nori!" In the living room, Mason saw Nora following Michael and nervously got up and ran over.

"What are you doing here!" James also frowned, questioning Nora.

Michael held Nora's hand, "Nora is your sister-in-law. Can't she come?"
