Chapter 105

Chapter 105

The car slowly pulled into the airport departure level. Henry didn't respond to her thanks, just raised his hand to check his watch.

"It's time."

He signaled the driver to stop, then looked at Teresa, his gaze lingering on her face for a moment.

"Follow the guide and wait for me to come back."

He paused, then suddenly added something completely unrelated to their conversation.

"Also, stay away from Zoey. She's been spoiled by her family, acts without thinking about consequences, and doesn't know where the line is."

Teresa was startled, then nodded. "I understand. Thank you for the reminder, Dr. Reed."

Henry said nothing more. He pushed open the car door and stepped out with his long legs. His assistant was already waiting nearby and took his simple luggage.

He didn't even look back at Teresa once, just walked straight toward the VIP passage, his back cold and upright, quickly disappearing into the airport.

Teresa sat in the car, watching his figure leave. She looked down at the folder and sticky notes clutched tightly in her arms and slowly let out a breath she'd been holding all night.

The heavy weight on her heart lifted slightly.

After putting everything away, the driver turned the car around and left the airport. Teresa took out her phone and immediately called Samantha, her voice carrying a smile.

"Samantha, I found a doctor. Dr. Reed agreed to see her, and he even gave me a treatment plan. I'm on my way back now. We'll follow the plan."

After hanging up, she noticed several missed calls and unread messages on her phone.

Several were from Michael, asking if she was safe and how things went.

There was also one from a number she had blocked long ago but temporarily unblocked because of their collaboration - Simon's.

Just one short sentence: [Need help?]

No greeting, no extra words, dry and plain, yet it instantly complicated Teresa's mood.

The scene from the banquet flashed before her eyes - him standing next to Anna, ultimately not coming forward. Her heart stung with pain, and she felt it was deeply ironic.

She lowered her eyes with a self-mocking smile.

'Simon, when you chose to believe Anna again and again, when you chose silence at critical moments because of various concerns, why didn't you ask if Daisy and I needed help?' she thought.

What's the point of asking now?

She pulled at the corner of her mouth in a bitter smile. Her finger hovered over the screen for a moment. Finally, she opened Michael's chat and replied.

[Michael, I'm fine. Dr. Reed agreed to help Daisy. He's very professional and gave me a preliminary plan. I'm on my way back now.]

As for Simon's message, she just glanced at it, then turned off the screen and tossed her phone back in her bag, as if it were just an irrelevant spam message.

Outside the car window, the city lights flew backward rapidly. Teresa leaned back in her seat, her tense body suddenly relaxing, and a wave of exhaustion washed over her.

But at least now she had direction, she had Henry's help, and everything would get better.

And for Daisy's sake, she couldn't show any more weakness or hesitation.

In the Reed family's luxurious bedroom.

Zoey smashed the last expensive perfume bottle on her vanity. Crystal fragments mixed with the rich, nauseating fragrance, but it couldn't hide the twisted, almost crazy jealousy and hatred on her face.

She looked at the photos just sent to her phone.

Teresa's back as she left the banquet hall with Henry, Michael standing at the door watching with a worried expression, and later, secretly taken photos of Michael driving Teresa back to her apartment building.

"Bitch! Teresa, you bitch!"

She hissed in a low roar, her chest heaving violently, her eyes full of bloodshot veins.

Henry never let anyone in his private car, even she, his own sister, rarely had the chance. What gave Teresa the right?

And Michael - what was that look in his eyes?

Worry, heartache - he was truly bewitched by Teresa.

No way, she absolutely wouldn't allow it!

Zoey was hysterical with anger, her eyes full of hatred.

Teresa must be completely ruined, must get away from Michael, must disappear from everyone's sight.

Thinking of this, as if making some kind of decision, she picked up her backup phone that she had just thrown on the pillow. Her fingers swiped the screen forcefully, finally dialing Anna's number.

The call was answered almost instantly, and Anna's deliberately lowered, somewhat flattering voice came through: "Miss Reed?"

"Move up the plan. Right now."

Zoey's voice was shrill, full of madness.

"Send me everything you have immediately. I want her completely ruined by tomorrow morning!"

"Miss Reed, please calm down."

Anna pretended to advise on the other end, but inside she was thrilled.

It seemed Zoey had been quite upset at the banquet, but that was perfect - exactly what she wanted.

"I can't calm down."

Zoey said each word deliberately, her eyes wide with anger. "Do as I say, or you know the consequences."

"Okay, don't be angry. I'll organize and send it to you right away."

Anna quickly agreed, her tone panicked, but a cold smile played at the corner of her mouth.

'Idiot, I'll just use your power to crush Teresa,' she thought.

In less than half an hour, a carefully encrypted and packaged file was sent to Zoey's designated email.

Inside was Anna's work from the past few months - hiring professional reporters to take secret photos, screening them, and even post-processing them.

There were photos of Teresa and Michael in the same car late at night, Michael draping his coat over her, the two of them close together in the office discussing work.

And that perfectly angled photo that made it look like Teresa was resting on Michael's shoulder, plus photos from business dinners with several male clients.

All mixed together, all given ambiguous interpretations.

For each set of photos, Anna had written carefully crafted text.

Starting from Teresa parachuting into the Watson Group as director, to quickly landing major projects, to her close relationship with Michael.

She vividly painted a picture of Teresa as a homewrecker who slept her way to the top.

Zoey looked at these photos and frowned slightly.

"The last round of gossip was the same thing. Will doing it again still affect her?"

Anna had anticipated Zoey would say this. She narrowed her eyes and laughed softly, meaningfully: "Miss Reed, people won't believe something the first time they hear it, but after a few times, even lies become truth."

Zoey caught her implication, her brow moved, and her eyes sparkled with excitement.

That bitch Anna wasn't good at much else, but she was quite skilled at these dirty tricks.

She hung up the phone and roughly flipped through the photos, the smile in her eyes growing wider.

Once these photos got out, Michael would be affected too, but she didn't care.

Michael would be hers in the end anyway. She didn't care what others said, as long as he was by her side.
