Sophia's POV.
It was the next Monday and I was at my desk at the office, sipping my coffee.
I knew Mr Hayes had been back since the Wednesday of the previous week. I knew that much from Steve but why he hadn't been to the office since his return baffled me.
Despite how much I didn't want to miss him, I felt myself missing his presence in the office, his rude remarks, his yelling, and even the closeness of his body to mine. It felt so different without him in the office.
The kiss we shared in his office and even back at his place, plagued me. It occupied my mind every single minute. I know I should forget about it as it's the professional thing to do but I can't. There has to be some reason why he kissed me.
Lust? Something had to be the reason.
Suddenly, I remembered that I had to get sales files from Mr Hayes's office which I'd hand over to the sales representative. I got up and hurried into the office.
I walked towards the file shelf where I was sure the files were and searched for them.
I was too engrossed in my task and didn't notice when someone came into the office.
“Good morning.” I heard the familiar deep voice close to my ears. My body shivered as I felt an electric current pass through it.
Why does my body react so embarrassingly to him?
I turned around to find him gazing at me. He was standing so close that my back was pinned to the shelf.
Was it not just some minutes ago that I was pining over how I missed his closeness? Guess the universe heard me and decided to grant my wish! I thought sheepishly.
“You're back.” I smiled genuinely.
“I sure am. Did you miss me?” The amusement flickered in his eyes.
“W—what?” I stuttered. I didn't know how to react to this side of my boss. He was strangely happier.
“I said, did you miss me?” He whispered in my ear again this time around, seductively counting his words. Our cheeks were touching each other and he placed one hand on my waist and one hand above my hand on the shelf.
I found myself clutching onto his suit jacket, clinging on for dear life.
Oh, how this felt, I could go on and on. I honestly didn't want him to stop. Oh, how much I've missed him, his touch, his smell, the way he grabs my waist softly. Oui!
Suddenly the door flung open, and I was immediately brought back to the present.
“Hey bro, I think you should....” A lady not much younger than I am barged into the office.
Oh God! Not now when I was in such an awkward position with my boss!
The lady's eyes widened to an extent where I could almost actually see her eyeballs popping out.
“Oh my God, I'm so sorry.” The lady said, focusing on me.
She looked embarrassed.
For me, I was both embarrassed and mortified. I should've pushed him off when I had the chance and not led him on by clutching onto his jacket no matter how much I missed him!
Mr. Hayes shook his head, went over to his chair and sat.
“You don't have basic manners to knock at a closed door, Andrea?” He asked, addressing the still mysterious lady.
“Well, this is an office space! I didn't expect you to bring your debauchery here too. So don't blame me.” She replied, plopping down on one of the sites in the office. She looked at me mouthing ‘No offense.’
Who's this audacious lady? I thought.
I felt a pang of jealousy at the possibility that she might be one of his many girls.” His reputation isn't quite a secret. But then, this girl looked too young for even him and just then, I began to notice the similarities in their facial features. In his next words, I figured out who she was.
“So you're not going to introduce me to..." She asked.
Mr Hayes sighed. He looked exhausted and I almost laughed at the scene playing before me.
I was amazed at this new side of him and of this little spitfire who didn't seem to be afraid of him.
“Andrea, this is Sophia O'Brien, my secretary. Ms O'Brien, this is Andrea, my little sister.”
I let out a sigh, even though I had suspected, I was still shocked to find out he had a sister. He always seemed so independent and like someone who lived in his world that I hadn't expected him to have a real family.
Andrea stood up from where she sat and walked towards me. “Nice to meet you” she stated. shaking my hands. I just smiled, still a bit mortified to speak.
I stood In a spot like a statue, embarrassed to the core. could we be busted? I pondered uncontrollably.
“I hope my douche brother isn't taking advantage of you?” She went on but before I could even say anything Mr Hayes immediately stood up.
“That's enough Andrea!” He roared angrily “You may leave now Ms O'Brien.” I quickly stepped out of the office but before I closed the door, I heard him say to Andrea.
“What the fuck do you think you're doing barging into my office on a Monday morning?”
I walked over to my desk and that was when I realized that I hadn't gotten the files I went into his office for.
Argh!

Alex's POV.
“I can see you found yourself a new plaything.” My sister said as soon as Sophia left, absent-mindedly ignoring my question.
I didn't understand why she wasn't in school. There must be some early morning classes at the university I'm sure.
Anything to get her away from me right now. I love her but sometimes, she can be just a pain in the ass.
“Sophia is my secretary and not a plaything,” I assured her.
“Hmm...not from what I saw earlier.” She winked at me.
At this point, I was done with her insolence.
“What brings you here?” I asked for the second time. “Is it a crime to check up on my big brother?” she quizzed.
“Oh please, spare me that. You and I know that you didn't come here for that.” I retorted.
“What happened between you and Emily in Athens?
Because she's going around telling everyone that you guys are back together. Mum's so excited.
Please tell me that's not true because you know how much I can't stand her!”
What the hell?!
