CHAPTER 44

Five months later,

When Alpha noticed the baby was about to cry, he stood from the sofa and walked towards Lena, who was busy organizing the bed. "Look, he must be hungry. Why not breastfeed him?" He drew Lena's attention.

She glanced at her baby's face and grinned before taking him into her arms. She sat on the bed, loosening her blouse, and then began breastfeeding the child while Alpha Dante watched. Staring at the child as his lips motioned made him recall how he suckled on Lena's nipples before she got pregnant-and he must admit that he missed it so much.

If he could perform magic for his child to grow faster so he can resume the interesting game he doesn't skip, he wouldn't hesitate to do it.

After staring for a long time, he got seated beside Lena, running his fingers in the baby's hair. "He's five months and two weeks old, yet we haven't haven't given him a name." he lifted his face to find Lena gazing at him. "What name do you think will suit the son of a Mafia Don and the Supreme Alpha? A mighty name that would surface in his life and match with his status…."

For some time, Lena was thinking, trying to bring up a name that would fit her son-a son, who would be the next Supreme Alpha and the Mafia Don too.

After a long thought, she finally came up with one. "KENDRICK!!"

Alpha rolled his eyes. "Royal and Bold Power! That's enticing!! We will go for it…" he chuckled and looked at his child again. "Kendrick Dante!!!" he mentioned, tapping his cheek gently. "If only you know that I also own what you're suckling. Don't finish everything…"

Lena burst into laughter. She didn't see that coming, and the look on his face while saying that showed how serious he was. "I won't let him finish it-" she assured him, and he smiled at her. "Alpha!!!"

"Will you watch the moon with me tonight? I've not done that for a very long time…." he uttered.

Lena moistened her lips. "I wanted to inquire about something from you…."

He averted his gaze to her. "What's that?"

"It's about the Celestial Pack. Will you merge it with the BloodMoon Hounds Pack as you wished?"

He nodded to her question. "I'm already doing that. I was unable to find someone who would be reliable to rule the Pack again, so it would be better to merge them both and have a rest of mind…." Along the line, he came up with an alternative. "I have a plan, and I'm sure it would be of benefit, but it will take my time."

Lena knitted her brows. "What's the plan?"

Alpha stood up and walked to the door. He opened it and whispered something to the guard at the doorpost before he returned to the bed again. "Wait, you will see what I have in store…"

She nodded, wishing that it would be something that would make her smile. After a few minutes, the doorbell rang, and he glanced at him. "Someone is at the door-"

"Come in!!"

The door was gently opened gently, and Alfred walked into the room.

"Alfred!!!" With that scream, Alpha took away the baby from her, and she ran into his arms. He swung her around before dropping her on the floor. "Alfred! You made it!!!" she pulled him into an embrace, patting his back gently. "I thought I lost you, or you forgot me. Thanks, goddess, you are here…." Tears already welled up in her eyes.

He turned to Alpha Dante, "How did you find him? Do you know him?"

Alpha scoffed. "I saved him the day I went after Tyrion. I even thought you were the one." The baby was asleep, so he laid him gently on the bed. "I came to know that you two are twins from the letter I showed you."

"Twins!!!??" Alfred held Lena's hand. "Where are our parents?"

She didn't want to answer that question, but locking eyes with Alpha Dante, she realized she had to answer it no matter how difficult it would be. "They are dead already…."

"Dead? So early?" Alfred dragged her to the sofa, and they got seated. "How did they die?"

"What about your foster mother?" Lena cut the question.

He gasped. "She didn't come with me. Her children will take care of her…."

"Children? I thought you were the only one…" Lena giggled. "What about her husband?"

Alfred grasped her palms to his. "The truth is that we are staying there because of me. She said I was a werewolf and couldn't stay in their hometown or I would be killed, so we stayed in that hurt while her other kids and husband who are also humans stayed in their hometown and she visits them frequently without me-and for my safety. I knew she wasn't my mother when I realized I was the only werewolf among her children, but I never asked questions since I was living fine."

They all took a very long sigh.

"So, what exactly killed our parents? Aren't they too young to die?" Alfred brought up the question again.

Lena shook her head. "Dad killed our mum because he wanted to be the Alpha King, and Mum won't allow him. Years later, he killed the ruling Alpha King, who turned out to be Alpha Don's uncle. After being warned by the Don, he set his house ablaze and got the Alpha Don's Luna burnt to death, and then Alpha Don murdered him as well ...."

She was unable to spare Alfred a glance. She felt so shameful saying all that.

"I didn't know how everything started and I took up to avenge our father's death, not knowing he was truly a traitor, so I set up a plane crash that killed Alpha Don's only child and daughter…that was how I fell into his trap and became his slave….."

Tears dropped from her eyes, and she wiped them off instantly.

Alfred gazed at her intently. He wasn't sure how to react to all those stories.

"From being his slave, I turned out to be his mate, and then I found out the whole truth."

Alfred glanced at Alpha Dante, who was busy with his tablet, and his ears plugged up so he wouldn't hear them. He wanted to assume that it was a made-up story, but recalling that Lena once escaped made him believe that she was scared of being killed by the man they offended.

"Then I got pregnant by him, and we fell in love. Alfred, I love Alpha Dante so much. I blame myself for everything. I didn't know our father did all that-and the Alpha King that misled him because he wanted to have me is already executed by Alpha Don."

She sniffed and rubbed her nose. This was one thing she wished to forget entirely.

"And now, I have a child for my rival-my mate. I can't leave either of them. I love them so much, but I feel so guilty each day."

Alfred pulled her closer. He understood the pains of loving your rival and what it means to stay with guilt. "It's okay! You have to forget all the past and focus on the present. If Alpha Don still recalls the past, I'm not sure he will love you so dearly this way, you know, right? Since he welcomed and cherished you despite all that had transpired between you two, I will advise that you also let go of the past and embrace the future."

She nodded gently, holding onto him tightly.

"Did you know Alpha Dante declared that I would be his right-hand man? He said if I do well as his right-hand man, I will rule the Celestial Pack…… but for now, the two Packs would be merged…" he opened up to her.

Lena pulled away from him. "Are you serious?"

He nodded.

She looked at Alpha, who raised his face to meet her gaze. Those smiles on his face were everything-everything she wanted.
