Chapter 153
...
Before the sudden rain of gunfire on the deck…
“Uh!”
“You’re pretty impressive, kid. Seems like a lot of my bones are broken!” Rex growled, having finally won.
He threw Kai’s body into the water that was now waist-high. He knew that in a few dozen minutes this yacht would sink to the bottom of the sea.
“I have to hurry!” he shouted, grabbing a pistol floating in the water and trying to shoot Kai in the head, but when he pulled the trigger there were no bullets inside.
“Tsk!”
Rex looked annoyed, but because he was in a hurry, he quickly headed to one of the rooms where his weapons were stored.
He took a long-barreled firearm and gathered his men who were stationed at several points on the ship.
There were about 30 men left on the ship who had not been captured by Alexander.
“When we get upstairs, immediately rain them with bullets, save Mr. Morgan and quickly take a lifeboat to shore!” Rex ordered all his men.
After that brief command, they all went up to the deck together, and when they arrived…
BANG. BANG. BANG.
A rain of gunfire instantly filled the place.
They quickly searched for Morgan Regis, but Alexander moved fast and pulled Morgan’s unconscious old body to use as his shield.
“BASTARD! HOW DARE YOU!”
Rex growled when he saw Morgan Regis injured and unconscious. His eyes turned sharp, he could not accept the man he served being treated like this.
Alexander’s blue eyes scanned around, searching for Kai.
“Where is Kai? Don’t tell me he lost to you!” Alexander growled, pointing the gun with one hand while the other held Morgan as a shield.
Alexander was now surrounded by about 10 of Rex’s men. Because of the earlier firefight, Kai’s men managed to fight back and take down more than 20 of them, although almost all of them were injured and some looked critical.
“Huh?”
“You mean that arrogant kid?”
“He was pretty good, but too bad he’s already dead!” Rex growled arrogantly, then tilted his head and threatened Alexander.
“Now, hand him over to me, or you will die together with all your men!”
“I’m not joking, bastard!” Rex growled in a flat but pressing tone, showing he would not forgive Alexander for this.
“Huh?”
But Alexander didn’t hear what Rex said at all. The only thing he heard was that Kai was dead.
With extremely heavy breathing, eyes that looked like a demon’s, he stared sharply at Rex.
“Impossible! You lying dog!”
“You threaten me as if you can make me afraid. I can kill this pathetic old man and you won’t be able to do anything about it.”
“Let’s see who will die here!”
“You think I’m afraid of dying? I’m not. I can drag all of you to hell with me!”
Alexander growled, pressing the gun against Morgan Regis’s forehead. Seeing that, Rex became extremely frustrated.
“Arrgghhhh!”
“How dare you treat my master like that! I’ll tear you apart after this, just watch!”
Rex’s anger made Alexander frown. Seeing Rex’s rage, Alexander quickly understood his weakness.
Whatever relationship Rex had with Morgan Regis, Alexander didn’t care, but it seemed Rex absolutely could not stand seeing anyone hurt Morgan.
“Huh?!”
Alexander smirked sharply. Quickly, he shot Morgan’s shoulder, just like Morgan had shot his earlier.
BANG.
The shot made Rex scream like a madman…
“Ah! Bastard! Bastard! Bastard!”
“I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you!” And just as Alexander expected, Rex looked like a crazed wild dog.
At that moment Alexander knew what he had to do…
“Drop your weapons, or I’ll blow his head off!”
“I’m not joking!” Alexander whispered with a terrifying aura, like darkness piercing the soul.
But Rex wasn’t afraid at all. He growled, knowing Alexander would really blow Morgan’s head off if he didn’t comply.
With that threat, Rex tilted his head as a signal for all his men to drop their weapons.
They all threw their weapons down. Rex walked calmly toward Alexander, who was now standing at the edge of the ship.
“Now, let him go, damn it!” Rex whispered with very heavy breathing.
“Here.”
Alexander pushed Morgan from his hands and threw him overboard into the sea, and before Rex could react, Alexander punched Rex’s face. “You said Kai is dead, right? Don’t joke. The only one who can defeat Kai is me.”
“And if what you said is true, then you must die by my hand!” Alexander growled, making Rex look like a madman.
His eyes widened and he almost jumped into the sea to save Morgan, but…
“You can’t save your master if you don’t finish me first, wild dog!” Alexander whispered, openly provoking Rex.
Even with his shoulder injury, Alexander’s punches were not weak at all.
The training Raymond De Graham gave him from age eight to twenty-one was brutal military training, and in hand-to-hand combat Alexander always won.
On the other hand, Rex was also a former ground forces commander and had never lost a hand-to-hand fight before.
“AAAA!”
“FINISH THIS BASTARD QUICKLY!” Rex shouted to his remaining 10 men, and they all tried to take Alexander down…
While his men kept Alexander busy, Rex tried again to jump into the sea, but…
THUD!
Alexander grabbed one of Rex’s men by the leg and threw him toward Rex, making Rex truly frustrated.
“AAAAA!”
“DON’T BLOCK ME!!!”
Rex, consumed by rage, tried to charge at Alexander, but…
Alexander was different from Kai. Kai was extremely skilled with firearms, while Alexander had never lost in hand-to-hand combat, and what made him always win was not only his skill but his genius.
Alexander deliberately made his enemies drown in anger by provoking them, because when someone is consumed by rage, their movements become easy for Alexander to read.
“Arrgggg!” Every time Rex tried to punch Alexander, strangely he never succeeded. Instead, Alexander seemed able to read all his movements and kept striking and attacking Rex repeatedly until his body hurt badly.
“Why is this bastard so strong? He’s different from that young guy earlier!” “I have to hurry! Otherwise Mr. Morgan will drown…” In the middle of his panic, Rex could no longer think clearly, exactly as Alexander intended.
...
At the same time…
Morgan felt suffocated. He was unconscious and badly injured, and the pressure in his chest made him regain consciousness as his body sank into the sea.
It forced Morgan Regis to struggle hard to swim to the surface with his battered body.
And as usual, luck seemed to favor him, allowing him to survive again.
With his bleeding shoulder, Morgan climbed back into his yacht that was almost sinking, took a small but high-power bomb, and returned to the deck.
The bomb was always kept in one of the rooms because he thought it might be needed someday.
“You bastard, Kingston, how dare you do that to me!”
“I will finish you and all those underlings with this!” Morgan growled, very weak but his hatred made him look insane.
Morgan believed Rex could save him, and that it was impossible for Alexander to win, so the only ones who would be blown up on this ship would be Alexander and his men.
...
As Morgan got closer to the deck…
Kai suddenly woke up. He wasn’t dead, only unconscious. He woke because he dreamed of his father and mother sailing on the open sea.
“Dad… Mom?” Kai rubbed his chest. This dream felt very real; he had never seen it before.
As if his parents were inviting him to go with them.
“Ah!” Kai clutched his aching head, his body felt crushed. He saw the ship’s hold was almost completely flooded, and quickly swam upward.
“Wait a little longer, Mom, Dad. I have to save my brother. I already swore to be the general who protects him…” Kai whispered with a smile.
“Kai … Kai!”
“Hold on!”
“Help is on the way!” The communication device in his ear started working again, and when Sin saw it active he immediately told Kai to hold on.
“Huh!”
“Relax, I’m not dead yet, not my time!” Kai whispered, making Sin relieved, as well as Freddie who was on the way to the nearly sinking yacht.
