Chapter 86 Hate
Chapter 86 Hate
"That's what he said?"
Dante, Carlo, and I are now back home. Without wasting time, I tell my father about everything Antonio said to me last night. He seems surprised that I got him to tell me about it, but at the same time, I can see that he's a bit disappointed that we're not getting something we don't already know. Well, the good thing is, my father can now believe that my plan is working.
"Yeah. He said I should tell you about it," I say.
"Interesting. I think this could be one of their plans, which is making us believe that Antonio is on our side when he's actually not. They might be planning something, like forcing us to go to war against them. I know very well we can't do that just yet. Our possibilities are not so great if the Romanos end up helping them bring us down. We can't take that risk, so I won't say anything to Fabio just yet. For now, keep up your work. You did well, Sandra," my father says.
"Thank you," I say.
"I'll get going now. I'll be back in a few hours," my father says.
"Where are you going?" I ask. I just got back, and now he's leaving? Where to? Oh wait. It's Monday, so it's definitely something more legal business-related. He's probably going to a meeting or something similar. Besides, he only does anything illegal in the afternoon until nighttime.
"Just a quick meeting at the company," my father says.
"Oh, okay," I say.
"Yeah. I'll see you later," my father says.
Everyone leaves my father's office. My father goes straight outside, Carlo goes to his room, and Dante and I go to my bedroom. Once we're there, I close the door and sit on the bed with Dante. I stare at him, and he stays silent while staring at the floor. A smirk creeps up my face as I realise what he could be thinking.
"What's wrong? What's with the long face?" I ask.
"It's nothing," Dante says.
"Come on. You can say the truth," I say.
"Okay. I hate seeing you with Antonio. I hate seeing you kiss him," Dante says.
Oh, yes. Finally. Dante finally admits his burning jealousy. I'm so freaking ecstatic to hear that. After he tried to hide his feelings for so long, now I know he really wants me. Aw, my man here looks upset with the frown. Something in me urges me to apologise to him, but what if I add more fuel to the fire? It will turn out interesting, I bet. Let's see how jealous he'll get once he knows what I did with Antonio when I was drunk.
"I'm sorry. I have to act as if I like him," I say.
"You said you actually like him before," Dante says.
Oh my god. This is really happening. I'm finally witnessing jealous Dante. It's funny and cute how a big guy like Dante can act like this. Ugh, I want to squish his face and kiss him so bad, but not yet.
"Well, yeah, but it's an involuntary feeling. I've always liked you before I met Antonio. He's nothing to me," I say.
I feel like what I say is a lie because deep in my heart, I do have real feelings for Antonio. Lately, I've been holding myself back because I like Dante more, and I only want to be with him. Other than that, the possibility of him turning out to be bad always haunts me and keeps me away from fully liking him. So yeah, no Antonio for me, and Dante is always a yes. So, the choice should be clear enough for me. It's Dante that I truly want, not Antonio.
"Alright," Dante says, smiling at me. His smile suddenly vanishes as he stares at me, replaced with a worried frown. What's going on? Oh. Right. It's definitely about what happened two nights ago. I'd better tell him everything. I don't want to hide anything from him.
"What's going on the other night?" Dante asks.
"You could say my mind has been messing with me. In the past two weeks, whenever I'm with Antonio, I always think about you. Like, everything he does just reminds me of you, but other than that, I'm starting to feel like I like Antonio even more than before, even though I know that I only want to be with you. I try to ignore the feelings, but they always come back. Those feelings... They make me lose control of myself sometimes, and I hate that," I say. My gaze falls onto my lap as I let out a tired sigh.
Whenever I'm with Antonio, I feel like a sex demon is possessing me. I mean, I do like him emotionally, but when we kiss, I just want to do things that I don't even dare to do before. To put it simply, whenever I kiss Antonio, I want him to do me so bad. I don't know why. Ugh, why am I such a whore with Antonio? I guess it's because Dante has been depriving me of his touch ever since my confession.
"So, your body is saying yes to Antonio, but your heart is saying yes to me?" Dante asks.
"Something like that, yeah," I say, avoiding his gaze. Dante grabs my hand and holds it in his. I turn to him and see him smiling softly at me.
"It's okay. Don't worry. You're just confused about everything. You shouldn't have gotten yourself drunk, but I get you. Thanks for telling me about it," Dante says.
Okay. Now is showtime. This would turn out to be either bad or good for me. Hopefully it'll be good. Let me get a good outcome from what I'm about to say to Dante.
"And one more thing. I uh- when I was drunk, Antonio said I was kissing him and forcing myself on him. I kinda remember that it happened, so he wasn't lying," I say. It's true. I remember a tiny bit from that night while I was zoning out on the way here. Until now, I still can't believe I actually did that. Antonio definitely thinks I'm a desperate slut after that.
Dante stares at me. The way his eyes darken frightens and excites me at the same time. I stare back at him nervously, and as time passes by, I feel the distance between us closing. With his face now centimetres away from mine, I continue to stare into his eyes anxiously, unsure if he's mad or not.
"You want him that badly?" Dante asks. His voice is dangerously quiet and low. My anxiety instantly gets replaced with excitement. With a smirk, I put my hand over his chest and gaze into his eyes.
"Not as bad as I want you," I say.
"Show me," Dante says.
Without wasting any time, I push Dante down onto the bed and get on top of him, straddling his lower body. Before long, we're already entangled in a frenzied kiss. As our lips move against one another, Dante rolls us over, switching our positions. With him on top of me, I wrap my legs around him and put my arms around the back of his neck, pulling him closer to me.
Dante finally breaks the kiss. Out of breath, I lay there with his forehead on mine. The intensity in his gaze has heightened. With desire lingering in his eyes, he moves away from me, yet his gaze stays on me. He rolls up his sleeves up to his elbow, and I can only stare at him in silence with a pout.
"Say you what you want," Dante says.
A shiver runs all over my body at his authoritative tone. With my heart racing in my chest, I give myself courage and push myself to sit, staring up at Dante. He stays in his place with a strict, serious expression. Not a single word leaves his mouth as he looks right into my eyes, waiting for my response.
"Kiss me again," I say.
Dante doesn't move and continues to stare at me with his piercing gaze. The way he stares at me only turns my body into overdrive. His way is definitely better than Antonio's. I love that Dante finally shows this side of himself. I've been waiting for this ever since we first met, and it truly exceeds my expectations.
"Say it again," Dante says.
Fuck. His teasing is killing me. I want him so bad right now. I want him on top of me and devouring me until I can't feel anything but bliss. I want his hands gripping onto my waist and thigh hard.
"Kiss me. Please," I say.
Dante acts quickly. After throwing me further into the bed, he climbs on top of me, kissing me hard. Our bodies move fervently against each other. With my hand on the back of his head, I pull him closer to me. Despite having him so close to me, I feel like I can't get enough of him. I want more of him. I need him.
Dante pulls away from me. With his hand holding the side of my face, he stares at me with an unmistakable, burning desire in his eyes. He continues to stare at me as we catch our breath. What now? I want more than kisses, but I'm still not sure if I should do it with him now.
No. I won't hold myself back anymore. I want Dante. I want everything from him. I need all of him. I can't wait any longer. Fuck my father and his opinion. I've always wanted Dante. It's his fault for bringing him to me on a damn silver platter. And now that Dante has shown what he truly wants, I want him to do it.
"Say the word if you want it," Dante says.
"Please. Don't stop," I say.
"Are you sure?" Dante asks.
Dante drowns me in his feverish kiss once again. As his lips stay on mine, his hand slides down from my waist to my thigh. His strong grip makes my heart throb even more. I wrap my legs around his back and pull him closer by the back of his neck. His kisses trail down my neck and then my chest. With my hand in his hair, I silently ask for more.
Fuck. This is really happening. It's finally happening. Waiting for Dante until he finally comes to his senses is something worthwhile. I've never wanted someone as much as I want Dante. Even his touch can send shivers all over my body, making me crave something more and better from him. I want him to give his all to me. No more holding back. Not anymore now that we both know we desire one another.
"I will ask you again. Are you sure-"
"Yes. Dante. Yes. Please. Do it," I whine.
Dante kisses me again as he takes off his shirt. He pulls away for a second, pulling my top over my head and throwing it onto the floor. I melt into his kiss and touch with my hands pinned over my head. For a split second, a memory flashes in my mind. An awful one. I freeze in my place as the memory repeats itself in my mind's eye.
"Hey. Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Dante asks.
I try to focus on him, but everything becomes blurry and muffled as if I'm drowning in the ocean with no way to get out. It feels as if what has happened is happening again. It looks as though Paolo is right in front of me, ready to take me while I lie there numb and paralysed.
"Alessandra. Hey. Look at me."
I blink my eyes, and instead of Paolo, it's now Dante who's in front of me. Without realising it, I'm already sitting on the edge of the bed with Dante kneeling before me and holding my arms, keeping me steady. Tears flow from my eyes as I stare at Dante in uncertainty.
What just happened? It never happened before. He... He felt and looked so real. How could that happen? I was fine earlier until Paolo appeared in my mind. I fucking hate him so much. Why did he have to come into my mind right now?
"What's wrong? Please, tell me what's wrong," Dante says.
"I'm sorry," I say.
Can't hold myself back anymore, I bury my face in Dante's neck while holding him tightly, sobbing loudly. I continue to cry into his shoulder while he holds me and lays me down gently. I let go of him for a second and then keep crying onto his chest as we lie on the bed against each other.
Shit. I need to get a fucking grip. He's not real. Why am I scared of my past? It's already over with Paolo. Dante is different from him. I shouldn't have reacted this way. What the fuck is wrong with me? Am I broken? I hate myself. Why am I like this? Why am I scared instead of being happy now that I'm with Dante?
