CHAPTER 66 — LUTHER GREEN

I'm watching the woman I love, now my wife, dancing with Noah at our wedding reception. She looks stunning. Perfect. And yes. Now she is really Faina Green. It is a reality and there is no going back.

—What's making you so thoughtful? — Heros approaches me, offering a glass of champagne.

— I can't believe it's all over. We caught Dad's killer. We cleared up his innocence and now we are married, about to become parents in a few months. This seems crazy. — He positions himself next to me, following my gaze, observing the room where she dances and laughs, completely happy with our brother.

— At this moment, more than ever, we cannot accommodate ourselves. Our enemies will multiply, and now we have a family to care for and protect. — he takes a sip of his champagne, I do the same — They will come with everything after them.

— Firstly, they will have to get past us. And Faina is already wonderful! Imagine her fighting to protect our children, we can handle it. — Lohan approaches — We're going to be fine.

Yes. We'll be fine!

Leaving the two standing and talking, I place the empty glass on a nearby table and head to the center of the room, where they are.

— I think it's my turn to dance a waltz with my dearly beloved wife. — I stop next to them. Faina smiles at me and Noah, who kisses her hand, throwing a wink in my direction as he hands it to me.

— Enjoy, newlyweds. — he winks at her, beaming, before walking away.

— Are you enjoying the party? I ask, wrapping one hand around her waist and holding her hand with the other. Your belly prevents us from getting closer.

— I am happy. In fact, overjoyed to be married to the mobsters I love. This time, it's for real. But to be honest, I'm looking forward to getting away from here with you guys and starting our honeymoon. — She winks and bites her lip at me.

I make her spin in our dance.

— Your father would kill us if we did this in just one hour of partying.

— We can use the bathroom, Luther. I'm trying hard not to rip your clothes off. Everyone is so well-dressed in these suits. — She analyzes me from bottom to top, revealing desire and lust in her eyes. — Please, let's call the others to escape. What bride and groom wouldn't do that?

— You haven't even danced with all of us yet. — I say, laughing.

— It's another type of dance that I'm thinking of for us, these days. — She bites her lip again, letting out a moan — I already danced with daddy, which is important. You danced with my mother. I danced with two of you. I believe this is enough.

— And you think Lohan, Heros and Zedekiah wouldn't be disappointed and sad that they didn't get their chance? — I ask, amused by her reaction and the rush she shows for us to leave.

She becomes thoughtful.

— Well, that's true. So, excuse me. — She turns away from me as soon as the song ends and goes to Zedekiah, who is at the sweets table.

He takes him by the arm and, with a mouth full of food, drags him to the middle of the dance floor, just as another song starts playing.

But my brother has other plans; He begins a slow and charming waltz with her, but soon the music changes, and suddenly, she finds herself sitting on a chair in the center of the room.

Boris, Ralph, and Philip gather on the dance floor and begin dancing with Zedekiah. However, everyone dances awkwardly, and the three of us can't contain our laughter at their uncoordinated performances. However, it brings our wife joy, and that's what really matters.

Faina laughs loudly, having fun and imitating his steps while sitting in the chair.

— Zed, that's hilarious. He said he would, and he actually did! — Lohan comments, laughing as he approaches.

All of our guests join us, laughing at the group's antics.

At the end, Zedekiah pulls her up again and ends the dance with the same waltz as at the beginning, kissing her in the middle of the floor. The entire hall applauds.

— I think it's our turn. — Lohan, says, looking at Heros who nods.

— Yes. Faina is already impatient, eager to escape her party — I say as I grab another glass of champagne that the waiter brings — And me too! — I confess.

The two approach her; Lohan is the first to reach out, making her barefoot, stepping on his feet as he gently leads her across the room. It is evident how happy and radiant they both are, with a special sparkle in both their eyes.

Our girl is enveloped by Lohan and finds herself in the arms of Heros, who rocks her from side to side without really moving. He's never been much of a dancer, but this is a special moment and he would rather not be left out.

Boris stops next to me.

—What ridiculous dance was that? — I ask him, smiling.

— It was Zedekiah's fault. — he also laughs.

— He always invents these absurd choreographies, but, deep down, everyone has fun, right? — he adds, still with an amused gleam in his eyes.

— Yes, you can't deny that it brought a lot of joy to the party. — I agree, remembering the laughs and funny moments of the night.

The room was now calmer, with the soft lights creating a cozy atmosphere. People chatted in small groups, while some couples slowly danced to relaxing music.

— Shall we get something to drink? — he suggests, pointing to the drinks table.

—Of course, I'm really thirsty. — I respond, following him to the table.

As we choose our drinks, our friends join us, still commenting on the dancing and other hilarious moments of the night. It's incredible how Zedekiah has the talent to transform any occasion into something unforgettable.

— Okay, thanks for the help with the dancing, Boris, but I need to go now. — Zedekiah pulled me and we left through the back of the room, where we saw the limousine he made sure to rent for us. As we enter, I realize that we are the only ones who haven't arrived yet.

— Why did it take so long? — Faina asked on Heros' lap, kissing his neck, in a failed attempt to untie his tie. — What the hell! Why is this so difficult?

We laugh, and the limousine begins to take us to our new destination. Our security guards accompany us in three cars: one in front and two in the back. We increased security, especially since she was pregnant. We carried out a complete change of our personal security guards, carrying out careful screening to avoid traitors. The new members went through a rigorous test before approaching our girl, who is now our wife.

With that, we headed off to the dream honeymoon we had planned for her.

We chose a paradisiacal destination, a private island in the Caribbean, where we would be the only guests. The trip was peaceful, and upon arrival, we were welcomed with a flower necklace and a delicious tropical cocktail.

With just a few hours of flight…

Our villa was a true luxury retreat, with stunning views of the turquoise sea. I am amazed by the beauty of this place, this Caribbean island that we picked for our honeymoon. Everything here is so beautiful and warm. The location is wonderful, we are in a resort exclusive to ourselves. There's no one else around here, just us and our security guards, who remain distant but somewhere nearby.

— Wow, this place is really stunning. — she says, snuggling into my arms.

— We reserved this resort just for us, do you know what that means? I ask, gently nibbling her earlobe. I look at him over my shoulder.

— That we can feel comfortable walking and swimming naked? — he replies, with a mischievous smile.

— If we have a daughter, it will be complicated if she inherits some from her mother. — says Heros, as he walks past us to put away our bags.

— I know you're going to spoil her even more than you already spoiled her mother — she says, smiling at him, who winks at her in response.

— Oh, of course. I favor the idea of going without clothes — says Noah, after helping Heros put away all our bags and settle into one of the reclining chairs, admiring the view next to us — It's really hot in here.

— Don’t encourage her ideas; if not, soon she'll start taking off her clothes… — Zedekiah appears too, but stops when he sees that that's precisely what she's doing.
