CHAPTER 56 — LOHAN GREEN
I wake up with a warm, soft body pressed against mine and when I look down I see Faina hugging me, her head lying on my chest and her arm and leg above me.
— Faina, what are you doing? — She was supposed to be in bed and not here on the floor with me.
— Good morning… — she says, hugging me even more and rubbing her face on my chest.
— Faina, why are you here on the floor and not in bed? — I ask again.
— I couldn't sleep, so I went downstairs to join you. — She looks at me with those big green eyes, which look more like a sly kitten, and my heart races in my chest. I move away from her, getting up and going straight to the bathroom.
Drug! If she continues like this, I will give in rapidly.
I spend a while in the bathroom relieving myself, after a shower that relaxes my body and cools my feelings. I leave the room. As I leave, I see her standing in the closet taking one of my shirts, instead of taking one of her clothes. With her back to me, I see her wearing only my shirt and nothing else.
She will kill us.
The sight of your perky, round ass makes my dick throb and I mentally thank you when the shirt falls down and hides your buttocks.
— Can't find your clothes? I bet there must be more than mine there. — I say, standing in the bathroom door, with a towel wrapped around my waist.
She turns to me and her eyes don't hide, blatantly drying me from top to bottom. His tongue passes his lips and his eyes drop to my towel, lingering for a long time at a point further down.
— Yes, there is, but I feel more comfortable wearing yours, especially because mine shouldn't fit anymore. — she says, still looking at the towel around my waist.
— My eyes are up here, Faina.
— I know, but the vision I'm having now is much better. — She bites her lip.
And I can imagine what's going through your naughty mind because my dick pulses with longing.
I let her step away from the closet, so I can go over and get something to wear.
The bedroom door opens with a bang and Zedekiah enters with everything. I stay alert, reaching for my gun from behind the bathroom door. Faina is also quick as she bends down and picks up the one under the bed.
—What happened? Talk soon, dammit! — she asks him, getting up and checking if the gun is loaded.
— Petrov and Dostoevsky are here in New York. Charles just provided me the information, he saw them both at the airport.
Shit.
—Was it just the two of them? — Faina turns to the closet, looking for something else to wear besides my shirt. I bet your father wouldn't like the beautiful sight of his daughter wearing just one of my shirts, as if we had just had sex.
— Do you think they discovered our location? — I ask him, rushing to the closet to get dressed too.
— No. We're safe here. — he looks at Faina — Isn’t it?
She rolls her eyes before answering us.
— Do you really think I would tell him about the location of this house if I were intending to come back to you one day? — she puts her hair in a high bun, leaving the gun on the bed — Or would it put your lives at risk, the parents of my children?
— You must have given him some location. — Zed debates with her.
— Or Rurik, he could have discovered everything while he was here, he knew where you studied, who's to say he couldn't have followed us here.
— Shit, I forgot about that. — Faina says, putting her hands on her head and starting to walk from side to side.
—What did you forget? — I ask calmly.
— Andrey, he probably knew the address here, the henchmen he bought must have told him. Because one of the guys who was watching the house at night was the one who stole the files before me. — she closes her eyes tightly — He must have told our parents.
Shit.
— Ryck. We already put an end to that bastard. In him and Drake, the only thing missing was Adam, he also knows where we live.
— My father wouldn't come here and take us by surprise, even though he knew where we were now. He and my godfather will retaliate first, destroying all their delivery points and warehouses that are scattered around, luring us towards them. — Zedekiah and I looked at her.
— I hope you're really on our side and this isn't another betrayal and trap, Faina. — I say, approaching her — Because I won't hesitate to shoot them in the head or yours.
— Would you shoot a pregnant woman? — she asks me shocked.
— If necessary, yes. — I lie. I wouldn't shoot her even if she weren't pregnant.
— Would you really shoot the mother of your children while she continues to bear them? — she asked me in disbelief.
No. I would never do that. Not even if she betrayed us one more time, I would let her shoot me, but I wouldn't point my gun at her.
— No, Faina. — I move away from her — For someone who claimed to know us very well, this sounds offensive.
— Okay. You said your father wouldn't come attacking us right away, so what are we going to do, sit here and wait? — Zedekiah sighs, running his hands through his hair, which fell back into his eyes.
— No, we will spread our eyes at each post that finds our shipments, preparing for the confrontation. — Faina keeps her eyes on me — They won't catch us unprepared.
— Are you prepared to face your father, Faina? — Zed asks before me — Are you ready to make your choice?
— Us or them. — I don't ask, but she answers me as if it were.
— You. It will always be you. I already made this choice three years ago when I stayed here, when I could have left, as soon as I discovered everything. — she gets up, taking the gun — And I made that choice again when I left everything behind and saved you. I'm just not ready for my father and godfather to know that yet.
— I hope you don't back down and disappoint us again. — Heros appears at my bedroom door, saying to her.
I know he missed her, just like the rest of us, but Faina will need to work hard to regain his trust, more than with each of us. She looks at him with eyes full of determination, but also a shadow of regret.
— I know, Heros. — she answers firmly, but her voice carries a touch of sadness. — I won't disappoint you again. I will prove that I have changed.
Heros remains silent for a moment, evaluating his words, before finally nodding slightly.
— I hope so, Faina. Believe me, we all want to trust you again.
With that, he turns and leaves the room, leaving an air of tension hovering. I approach Faina, trying to offer some comfort.
— Everything will be fine, Faina. — I say, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. — We just need time.
She sighs deeply, looking at least a little relieved.
— Thanks. I'm really going to try.
