Chapter 188 Chapter One Hundred and Eighty-Eight
Chapter 188 Chapter One Hundred and Eighty-Eight
Keaton pulls me close to him, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "Are you sure you don't mind watching my practice? It's okay if you don't want to sit there the whole time." He asks, smiling down at me.
"I promise I don't mind." I say, smiling. I really don't. Maybe that's weird to other people, but I enjoy being close to him. Even if it's just me sitting in the bleachers while I watch him kick ass on the field.
Keaton leans down and kisses me as we walk to the field. At some point Cory and Levi meet up with us. "Hey guys, how was your day?" Cory asks.
Keaton doesn't say anything, so I answer him. "Good, I suppose. Lots and lots of rumors. Other than that it was not to bad." I say, smiling over at him. I don't say anything about Kaci and Chelsea, I'm going to wait until we start hanging out or something before I tell everyone we are friends now. Who knows, outside of school we might hate each other. If they act anything like Sapphire outside of school, I don't think I will actually be able to stay friends with them. "How was your day?"
Cory nods his head side to side. "Eh, it was alright I suppose. It kind of pissed me off hearing people say stupid shit about you, but other than that it was just another normal day at school."
"Honestly, I am just ready to tackle some people." Levi says, when I look over at him.
That sounds about right. "Well, be careful and don't hurt yourself." I say, laughing and shaking my head. "Don't hurt Keaton or Cory either. Otherwise, I will have to hurt you." I say, jokingly. Well, mostly joking. If someone hurt Keaton on purpose, I would be mad enough to kick somebody's ass.
Levi laughs. "Don't worry sweetheart. I will not hurt Cory or Keaton. Maybe your brother, but not them."
"You can beat the shit out of Evan, that wouldn't bother me a bit. If anything it will probably make me happy." I say, looking over at him with a serious expression.
Keaton, Levi, and Cory all laugh. "You heard her guys, let's beat the shit out of Evan. That will make her happy."
"Add Braxton to that list." I say, laughing a little.
"Can do baby." Keaton says.
When we get to the field, Keaton turns to me and says. "We have to go change baby. I will see you after practice."
"Okay. Have a good practice." I say, leaning up on my toes to give him a kiss. I turn to Levi and Cory. "You guys have a good practice too. Don't forget to whack the shit out of Evan and Braxton." I say, as I pull them into a hug.
"Will do." Cory says, as they turn and walk away. I watch as the three of them head to the locker room. Once they are out of sight I make my way to the bleachers and sit down close to the field.
Kaci and Chelsea walk by, smiling at me. "Hey girl, are you watching your boyfriend practice or did you want to join the cheerleading team?" Chelsea asks, smiling at me.
I laugh, shaking my head. "I'm sorry, but I will not be joining the cheer team anytime soon."
Kaci laughs. "Why not? You don't like the thought of shaking your ass in a short skirt?"
"I hadn't even thought of that, honestly. I'm just not the cheering type I guess." I say, giving her an apologetic smile.
Kaci and Chelsea share a look, then they both laugh. "Anyone can be the cheer type. You just have to try if." Chelsea says.
"Yeah, have you ever tried cheering?" Kaci asks, smiling at me.
I laugh and shake my head. "No, I have not."
"Maybe you should give it a shot sometime. Who knows you might like it." Chelsea says.
"We would be happy to teach you some moves." Kaci says.
I think about it for a minute. "Maybe some other day. For today, I will be happy just sitting here watching you." I say, smiling at them.
"Fine. Make sure you pay attention, so you can learn some of our routines." Chelsea says, winking at me.
"I will try." I say, giving her a genuine smile.
"See you later." Kaci says, as the two of them make their way towards the rest of the cheerleaders.
I have never once thought about being a cheerleader. In fact, I have never even wanted to be friends with a cheerleader. So, we will just have to start with that and see how it goes. I am one hundred percent sure I do not want to be a cheerleader though.
I turn my attention to the field where the guys are starting practice. It only takes a couple minutes for me to find Levi, Cory and Keaton. The three of them are sticking together for the most part during the drills and what not. It makes me happy knowing Keaton has Levi and Cory watching his back.
I already know if Evan gets the chance, he is going to try and hurt Keaton again. He has always been one to hold grudges. I remember the first time me and Evan had a really bad fight. It was over something stupid and pointless, but Evan didn't talk to me for almost six months. He always acted like I wasn't there, or made mom tell me stuff.
Mom got so tired of it, she actually locked us in a room together for a whole day. She said we couldn't come out until we stopped fighting. I would do that to Evan and Keaton if I wasn't worried one of them would murder the other one by the end of the day.
The coach calls for everyone to line up. It looks like he is putting teams together. They are probably going to scrimmage. Which is one of Keaton's favorite things to do, but maybe not today. It looks like Evan and Keaton are going to be on the same team. Hopefully that keeps Evan from acting like an idiot.
\-Keaton's POV-
Just fucking great. Coach just had to put me and Evan together. Why couldn't he just put us on opposing teams? Then we would have a reason to hit each other. Now Evan is just glaring at me like he wants to rip my head off and we are on the same fucking team.
At least Levi and Cory are on our team too. Coach calls out a drill and everyone lines up. Here we go. Levi snaps the ball to me and I catch it, looking for Evan. Where the fuck is he?
In my search for Evan, I didn't even notice someone broke through the line. I'm tackled hard, slamming into the ground. I land on my shoulder. "Damn it." I yell, grabbing my shoulder. Fuck that hurt.
"I hope that fucking hurt asshole." Evan says, laughing as he stands up.
