Their Happily Ever After

Their Happily Ever After
ZYLIAH'S POV
"You think you can ask Sayge to marry me?" She looked hopeful.
"I'm here, Claire." Sayge stepped forward. "I'll marry you."
She faced him. "Really?"
He nodded. "Yes." He extended a hand to her.
Giggling, she ran into his hands. The gun was then snatched from her by Kevin, who quickly disarmed it.
"The cops are already on their way," Oslaz announced.
"W-what?" She looked confused for a moment, then realized what had truly happened. "You tricked me!" She hit Sayge. "I'll kill you. I'll kill all of you the same way I killed her."
My brows furrowed. "Killed who?" Was that human blood on her dress?
Kevin had Marvin tie Claire while we waited for the police, who arrived fifteen minutes later.
"We just received a call that a gunshot was heard in the home of Danielle Holly Bermout, the Hollywood actress. She was found dead in her home." One of the cops relayed, taking in the scene. "One of the neighbors said Miss Bermout and her daughter were always quarreling."
"The bitch deserved it," Claire ranted, even though she was tied. "She called me a failure. How dare she?! The bitch!" Tears welled in her eyes.
"I guess we've found our killer." The cops arrested Claire, who kept crying and wailing that she wanted Sayge to go with her.
Kevin handed the murder weapon to the police as evidence, although he let them know he took it from her, so his prints might be on it.
They assured him he wasn't going to be involved in the prosecution.
Whew! I released the breath I had no idea I'd been holding when the police vehicle drove out of the compound.
We almost went back to the party hall. Ten minutes later, the kids had forgotten the chaos and were having the time of their lives.
"Hey, Miss Zyliah."
I grinned, happy that they could make it.
I hugged all three cousins—Sara, Dora, and Liana. After the case had died down, the sisters had gone about their normal lives. Sara had tried to offer the money she had been paid by Martino to Sayge for 'damages'; he declined and told her to use it for herself.
They brought gifts. The kids were so happy to have many gifts from all the guests.
It was time to dance.
I danced with Waylen, Grandma Charlotte took Casper, and Alexa went with Oslaz—he carried her on his lap and wheeled his chair around, an equivalent to dancing, and Alexa seemed to have fun. We rotated until it was the kids by themselves and the adults.
Sayge and I were currently dancing to a slow song. Suddenly the light went off. I became alarmed.
"W-what just happened?"
I felt Sayge pull away from me. I tried to find my way. "Why did the light go off?"
It came on back, and there were the kids holding big cardboard papers. My eyes caught the words:
'Will you marry our daddy?'
My heart stopped. No, it couldn't be. Sayge was no longer standing before me, but I felt his presence behind. With a slow turn, my heart racing fast, I saw he was on one knee, a box opened. "Will you do me the honor of being my forever?"
A beautiful diamond sat in the box, glinting off the lights in the hall. Tears welled; I nodded. "Yes."
My heart was full. The claps and cheers had me realizing I was the only person in this hall who didn't know about this.
He slipped the ring on my finger. I couldn't contain my joy. I pulled his head down for a kiss. "I love you, Sayge Harold Williams."
The love and happiness shining through those beautiful sets of topaz blues did something wonderful to my insides. "You're officially my forever and extra."

Three months later, we tied the knot. It was a destination wedding.
Sayge bought a yacht and had a minister onboard. Everyone we knew was present. My best friends were my maids of honor, the boys were the ring bearers, and Alexa was my flower girl.
Once the wedding was done, everyone would be dropped off at Paris; Oslaz and Grandma Charlotte had just bought a villa there.
Kevin would be going back to Spain for family business.
Sayge and I would be heading to five different countries for our honeymoon.
The kids will be starting school when we return.
"You make a beautiful bride, Zyliah," Grandma Charlotte complimented.
"Thank you, Grandma." I bit my lower lip, unable to contain my excitement. "I have a surprise for you."
"What is it?"
Natalie and Delia just stepped in. "Everyone is ready for you, Zee."
"See." I brought out a pregnancy test tube from my drawer in the room of the yacht we were on.
All three gasped excitedly. "Best wedding present ever for Sayge."
"Congratulations, darling." Grandma Charlotte pulled me into a hug.
Then my best friends too.
"When did you find out?" Natalie asked.
"Yesterday." I was giddy with excitement.
When I finally walked down that aisle, I had only eyes for Sayge, and he for me.
And when we exchanged our vows, it was like assuring each other of unspoken promises.
"I'm pregnant," I revealed when we were having our first dance as a couple.
His eyes went round with happiness and joy. "Really?"
I nodded, my cheeks hurting from grinning too much.
"Oh my God." He got emotional. "I wasn't there for you when you were pregnant with the boys. I promise I'll be there with you every step of the way this time."
"I believe you."
And I did believe him.
"Happily ever after to us," he cheered, staring into my eyes.
"Happily ever after to us," I repeated.
He captured my mouth, showing me just how much he was ready to take this next step with me, and I poured every bit of me into the kiss, letting him know that this journey was a till-death-do-us-part.
