Sabrina In Trouble (I)

Sabrina In Trouble (I)
CHAPTER 192
SABRINA'S POV
That little bitch! I had no idea how she had gotten hold of that sex tape and escaped. How had she even known where it was?
But by God, I blamed myself for trusting her enough to tell her personal stuff about me. I'd done everything to make sure she was well taken care of, and now she had ruined my plan.
How was I supposed to find a pregnant girl who didn't want to be a mother? Since my mother had left without a word to me, and Courtney was doing the same to me, I knew I had to leave that motel.
There was this apartment I've been checking out for a while now, thinking it would be suitable for me and Courtney.
I was scared Fynn might come find me at the motel. Although I'd been expecting his call, nothing yet.
Maybe Courtney hadn't been able to get through to him. Maybe. I hoped.
I have tried searching for her, to no avail. She had even stolen a few cashes from me, nothing too much. Some change she had probably found in my purse.
I have also tried the number of the guy that had introduced me to her; it wasn't going through.
What was happening? I was just so glad I hadn't paid her any upfront for the child.
We had agreed on full payment as soon as she gave birth.
That stupid girl had just ruined my plan. It annoyed me a lot, and I didn't know what to do.
I decided to dial my mom's number; she would definitely know what to do. I just had to meet up with her and make amends with her, then talk to her about this recent trouble I was experiencing.
I dialed her line; it wasn't going through. I tried it again; it rang, but no one picked up.
I heard a knock on my door.
Who was that? I wasn't expecting anyone. Plus, this was a quiet neighborhood in the suburbs. I chose this place because of the security, privacy, and solitude it provided.
The other neighbors I didn't know, and I had no plans to; they weren't part of my plan. This was a short-time arrangement for me until I was able to get another pregnant girl, or... well, there was no other plan aside from that. So it had to work.
The knock came again, startling me.
Cautiously, I got up from the sofa, tiptoeing to the door. Upon facing the door, I stood, my mind in a frenzy about who might actually be knocking on my door on an afternoon.
"Who's there?" I finally asked.
The door had no peephole—the only disadvantage of this place. Who builds a door without peepholes? An amateur carpenter, that's who.
Whoever it was didn't say anything. Just rapped on the door again.
"Who's there?" I asked again, feeling anxiety creep up my spine, the muscles in my stomach knotting.
"Open the door, Sabrina."
Oh my goodness! I stumbled backwards. Fynn? What was he doing here? How had he found this place? Oh my God!
How...
"Open the door, Sabrina. Or you don't want to welcome your husband in your new house?"
"H-how did you f-find this place?" I stuttered, barely getting comprehensible words out.
"That should not be a problem, my darling wife." His tone was sweet. Too sweet to be genuine.
I gulped, knowing I was at a crossroads. If I didn't open the door, he could very well break it down or draw attention to this house, which was the last thing I wanted.
If I opened that door, it was going to be unpleasant, because whatever reason had him finding me wasn't surely a good one. Maybe Courtney had gotten through to him after all.
"W-why should I open the door?" I meekly asked.
"Any more questions, Sabrina, and I'm breaking down this door. From the look of it, I don't think it's that strong." I heard the determination in his voice.
"O-one minute." I let my eyes scan the room and noticed a fork on the small table. I went to grab it and stuff it in my back pocket.
He might try to hurt me; I wanted to be ready for him. It pained me that the man I wanted to spend my life with had turned us into this toxic couple.
I tucked away emotions and quickly opened the door before he went through with his threat of breaking down the door.
My hand pulled out the fork a bit and closed over it so it was easy to draw if it came to that.
He stepped in, closing the door. "So, this is the little nest you built for yourself with my money, mm?" His gaze ran the length of the apartment, observing.
Then they landed on me. The coldness in them had me swallowing. "Why are you here?"
"You thought you could deceive me?" He took a menacing step forward.
I moved backwards, going further into the room. My fingers still closed over the fork. "D-deceive you? W-what..."
"Shut up, you dirty bitch!"
The slap sent me flying; I landed on one of the forelegs of the table, and I groaned in pain.
The fork pierced my back.
It was no longer in my back pocket; it had slipped out when I'd hit the ground.
I let my hand search for it. My waist was on fire too. My pregnancy. "I-I'm pregnant, Fynn. D-don't do this."
"Pregnant with a child you'll never give birth to? A child you'll miscarry?" His laugh came mocking, short, and mirthless. "Maybe I should just save you the stress."
Just as he was about to kick my stomach, I picked up the fork and stabbed his leg.
His scream was loud and piercing. I seized this opportunity to flee from him, heading for the door before he would kill me.
The fork still stuck in his leg, he limped fast, grabbing me before I made it to the door.
The door suddenly gave way under the force of a hit that startled both of us.
"Let her go."
