Beach Villa

Beach Villa

The amusement park was huge, completely worth the status of being the biggest park in the world.

By the time Vagamound and I finished touring the whole place, it was already dark.

“Ah. It's night already.” I looked up at the round moon that was in the sky, as if claiming its territory.

I turned to Vagamound, who was munching on a pink cotton candy next to me. “I didn't tell Mom that I will be coming home late. She's going to be worried about me.” My poor phone was already dead after constantly taking several pictures throughout the day. With it dead, there's no way I can contact Mom.

“You don't need to worry. When you were playing earlier, I already contacted your mom that you'll be spending the night with me.”

“Oh.” His foresight is sure good. “That's settled then.”

“Come with me.” Vagamound walked towards our parked car in the distance and opened the passenger seat, turning to look at me with a gentle smile. “Come in.”

Oh. My cheeks flushed red when I met his gaze.

Thankfully, the dark sky was there to act as my cover, preventing my shyness from being noticed by him.

However, I forgot that the other person was a legendary immortal whose gaze could pierce through walls and even see inside the darkness as clearly as day.

Thus, my blushing expression was witnessed by him.

I strode forward and sat inside the car. “Thank you.”

“My pleasure.” Vagamound shut the door gently and calmly walked around the car before stepping into the driver's seat. He turned the ignition and drove the car out of the parking lot, hitting the busy road.

Ten minutes in, I noticed that the direction we were heading was very different from Vagamound's house.

I turned to look at him, questioning, “Where are we heading to? This isn't the direction to your place.”

“Yes, it is not.” He answered, shifting his gaze to me, and smiled before returning his gaze to the road.

What's with that smile? Could it be that he's planning on surprising me?

Guessing it might be the case, I looked out of the window, blushing foolishly at my thought.

However, my smile didn't last long when I noticed that the road before us was getting more desolate, with only a few cars to be seen around us.

After twenty minutes, only our car remained on the quiet road.

“Where are we actually going? Why are there no houses around here?” The tall trees at the side of the road felt eerie to look at. Horror thoughts began to seep into my mind, making me shiver in fear.

“It's a surprise.”

“What surprise could there be in this desolate place? I'm starting to think that you're kidnapping me right now.”

“Ha-ha. That's so funny.” He laughed, his body shaking as he held the steering wheel.

“Don't laugh at me.” I slapped him lightly on the arm.

“Alright, I won't.”

Perhaps due to the lightened mood in the car, the little fear in my heart faded away.

…

Not long after, we soon arrived at our destination. It was a big villa, seated on an acre of land. In front of it was a roaring sea, with several coconut and date trees on the beach sand, their leaves swaying along with the wind.

The light around the villa was lit, revealing the red carpet that stretched from the entrance and the colorful flowers thrown on it.

“Let's go in.” Vagamound reached for my hand and led me walking on the red carpet.

I could feel the loud thumping of my heart as we neared the entrance door.

Vagamound reached into his pocket and took out a black card, swiping it over the screen of the door lock.

‘Click.’

The lock opened, and he pushed the door open, leading me into the house.

Just as I expected, the interior of the house was beautifully decorated. Red flowers were thrown across the living room floor, with some even forming the shape of love.

Right next to the living room was the dining room. The light there was dim. However, what caught my attention was the two-person table that was there. On the table were a bottle of wine, along with plates and two glass cups.

The ambience there does create a romantic vibe.

“Are you hungry?” Vagamound asked, looking at me. “There should be some ingredients in the kitchen. Tell me, what do you want to eat?”

“You are going to cook?” I looked at him in disbelief.

“Of course, darling.” He leaned downward and kissed my forehead. “Wait for me here. I will be right back.” He pushed himself upward and strode towards the kitchen, his figure disappearing behind the door.

“Oh.” I gasp out loud as I put my hand against my chest. “Why is my heart beating so fast? I'm going to die if it keeps beating at this rate.”

Who would have thought that the cold immortal lord could be this romantic?

His Cupid arrow has pierced my heart even deeper.

The blush across my cheeks became redder.

“Oh right, let me take a picture.” As I took out my phone, I was hit by the fact that its poor battery life was already dead. “No. How am I going to put it in my recollection? There must be a charger somewhere in this villa.”

I lifted my foot and began to search around the house.
